Updated following the Huddersfield v Oldham result - a result we could have done without of course - but c'est la vie and all that...

All the games that matter concerning Saints in our very slim-but-still-mathematically-possible play-off hopes! The top 4 are out of reach with the teams already occupying those positions done & dusted regarding automatic or play-off places - so the rest of us are all fighting for that magical 6th spot. Below is a complete list of who is yet to play who: League 1 Table - Tuesday April 20th: --------------------PLYD---PTS---GD 5. CHARLTON........... 43........77.....20 6. HUDDERSFIELD......43........74.....20 7. COLCHESTER........43........68.....14 8. SOUTHAMPTON.....43........67.....36 9. BRISTOL ROVERS...43........62.....-6 10. MK DONS............43........59.....-4 CHARLTON Exeter (A), Leeds (H), Oldham (A). HUDDERSFIELD: Stockport (A), Colchester (H), Exeter (A). COLCHESTER: Tranmere (H), Huddersfield (A), L Orient (H). BRISTOL ROVERS: Brighton (A), Norwich (H), Leeds (A). SOUTHAMPTON: Carlisle (H), Gillingham (A), Southend (H). MK DONS: Leeds (A), Brighton (H), Walsall (A).

I think it will be around the 25,000 mark...

Hmm. Another Echo article that will help them heal the rift with the football club then...

I have my rose-tinted spectacles on here - but I think Rickie Lambert is a friggin' marvel - a top-notch, superb, wonderful striker & someone who will turn out to be an absolute legend during his time at Southampton Football Club. I love the bloke to bits and I am eternally grateful to ML for funding the £1million to bring him here. He is the best striker in League 1 bar none - and I am 100% confident that he will do an equally good job as & when we make the step up to the Championship.

Sent off to the stands for kicking the ball whilst its on the pitch...and his assistant also sent off for foul & abusive language. lol
-

Watching Tranmere v Norwich online for anyone interested. 2-0 to Tranmere after just 12 mins! http://supersp0rt.net/channel3.html

That's a far too sensible post for some miserable, whinging gits on here Jackie...

lol. It's almost as if some people forget the minus 10 points. We'd be 1 point off 6th spot today if it wasn't for that fact. Jeez...
-
We have lost just 3 games out of the last 21 - and won at Wembley. That tells me Pardew is the right man for the job - without doubt.
-
Steady on Mike. No one likes a smart arse

My thoughts exactly. It's almost as if it's Alpine speaking... http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~2012696,00.html

You make it sound like we only have to play 4-4-2 to automatically win every game! Brighton are no fools. They have just beaten both Brentford & Tranmere 3-0 at home - and sandwiched between that was a 2-0 away win at Oldham. If anything or anyone is to 'blame' - it's the abscence of Morgan...

Aw c'mon dune. Pardew & the boys gave us all a fantastic day out on Sunday & made us all very proud Saints fans again. I would imagine that he was partly hoping that Sunday would carry over to tonight in no small way. As it happens - it didn't really. But he changed things when the going got tough & the team eeked out a point against an in-form Brighton. With hindsight - I bet Pards would go 4-4-2 with Papa & Barnard from the start if he could turn the clock back a couple of hours. This season was always going to be 'dip your toe in to unknown territory' for us. Next season will be a head-long dive straight in!

Final photos from me tonight; Lee Barnard's equaliser:

Those docked 10 points will come back & haunt us at the season's end...
-
We're not that far away from being the finished article for next season. Pards will strengthen further in the summer - and we will be one - if not the - hardest team to beat in this division. Bookies will (rightfully) make us favourites to go up automatically...but we have to learn to go to all those grounds like Brighton's tonight & win. Not draw - but win. We still need to aquire that winning mentality & get tough - and that's something only Pards can instill really.

Aye

That must be time up...

WTF?!?!

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssssssss 2-2 ffs
