Karen Brady did an interview on the radio where she confirmed Saints came back to the table and significantly lowered the threshold regarding the sale of JwP. right now, JwP is much better than Downes. Where they play tells you this, regardless of how old someone is, or where they may be in 5 years. As for the last point, look on KUMB. They absolutely love JwP and believe they have an absolute bargain (yep, they do) for a player like him.

The point is promotion. It was clear that Martin was brought into get us promoted this season, anything less is a failure - his own words. Already, top 2 seems out of reach (been like that for about 2 months). I know Ipswich and Leicester have been brilliant, but we are all playing the same teams (see Watford away). We could draw loads more, remain unbeaten, and fall out of the top 6. That is not going to happen, but unless we see more of yesterday and less of Coventry away, then the playoffs will be a bigger lottery than it ought to be.

Why on gods earth would the club sell our best player in Jan? If they believe we have a serious chance in going up, he is the last player that should be sold.

No less than we deserve. Even before their sending off, we were right at them in the 2nd half. All the subs made an impact. S.Armstrong MoM for me. The start of the 2nd half is what we need to do much much more. Teams just cannot live with us when we do it. Mara was good, Alcaraz was good, Fraser very good....what a bench is supposed to be about.
