I suspect it would have been a very short period of 'special operations' if he won.
  2. More largely peaceful demonstrations. Someone is quiet on this one......

It is not a gripe, it is reality. If the balloon goes up, our security largely depends on the appetite of the USA to go to war in Europe (again).
  4. Shame he is still employed by the club 🙃

More than enough of what? For NATO to be effective, it requires the USA all-in. That is the price we on this continent has to pay for disgraceful defence spending for many decades.
  6. A race-hate mod on the rampage. Like the EDL, but different

When you (and others) say NATO, you mean the USA. Without the USA, everything else is utterly pointless. Do the USA have an appetite for significant war in Europe again? To bail-out Europe's pretty feeble defence strategies/spending? Maybe.....

  9. Pochettino or Tuchel will probably be the next Juventus manager, as Juve are shite
  10. Seeing it during football highlights on MOTD, or whatever. Slow mo of goals being scored, with some vastly overweight lad, probably half cut, with his phone out filming whilst celebrating (with the customary gut hanging out)
  11. who knows. But it was crystal clear from the very start of the queue (and sign posted all the way), what was allowed in with everything else being off limits - bar no exceptions. There were also people grumpling for having to turn off their phones as they pass through the security scanners, and keeping them off until they are out the other side.
  12. 11 hours - almost to the minute from getting my wristband in Southwark park, to going through the security scanners at Westminster. It was very well done to be fair. Huge amount of staff across the entire queue, loads of police (from all over), plenty of refreshments etc (some free, some not). Inside was surreal. the coffin was very high up and the Soldiers and Beefeaters keeping 'vigil' just made it very moving. There was one funny. As you can imagine security at Westminster was incredibly strict and you could not take in food, liquid etc. Anything non-perishable or opened was donated to food banks etc (and there were mountains of it). A chap a few behind me was moaning/almost kicking off as he had to bin his multi-pack of lockets. He was trying to say they were like his medicine. After arguing with the staff, a copper came over and said don't like it, please feel free to go home and watch it on youtube. The packets of Lockets were thrown into the bin.
  13. It will partly ruin, what is the most watched/successful sport/league on the planet - where as, the US sports leagues are not.
  14. On a more relevant note, over the last week I did actually queue to shuffle past the coffin and it was a remarkable experience. Something I wanted to do and well worth the wait to 'witness' history. However, people 'clapping' someone who is off to his mum's funeral is odd
  15. These posts are utterly pointless. When the same was being said towards the end of Hughes' time here, no one suggest Ralph. I doubt anyone on the Brighton message board had 'earmarked' the ex Shaktar boss before it made the papers.... We area premier league club, with all the riches that brings, good ground, excellent training facilities, fairly ambitious owners and a young squad with some excellent talent.
  16. If the rumours from the ITKs are true that Ralph was under pressure before the season started. Then there is extremely little to suggest he will/should keep his job. New owners, not convinced, utterly shambolic pre-season*, culminated in the horror show at Villa. *something very strange about pre-season, the formation used then and into the first 1.5 games. ABK left out at Spurs etc
  17. I also find the banks of self-service checkouts annoying.
  18. what, all shops that sell food?
  19. Certain groups of people in Leicester an actual criminal speaks..
  20. How? we finished above them last season and had a 10/10 transfer window?
  21. That is a the terrible Everton - with the loser Frank Lampard in charge - now above us
  22. Scousers embarrassing themselves again
  23. I really hope that Leicester do not come thieving from us again, and swipe Ralph from under our noses. Ala Vestergaard and Bertrand
  24. Why would the cheap option get your vote?
