  1. Nope. Fulham went down and kept Mitrovic, who scored a ridiculous amount of goals. Leicester this year are hardly shipping out almost their entire 1st team. The Sports Republic cheerleaders will probably tell us otherwise
  2. We dont have a bloated squad, ffs. We have already moved on... Willy, Salisu, AMN, Theo, Mo, Orsic, JwP, Lavia, DCC, Tino...with more to follow. That does not include fringe players that have also gone and those certain to leave The above alone is massive money (a record already for a receiving Championship club) and massive savings in wages. This is getting daft now.
  3. This is Saints. Selling is our thing
  4. that would be hilariously ridiculous...and another one to the hilariously ridiculous decisions by the current custodians of SFC
  5. People were saying that on here...ffs
  6. This is part of the new regimes plan. Just be patient Seriously, this cannot be true, can it?
  7. That seems to be global revenue. Now ahead of the Tour de France. the 2019 Rugby Union World Cup was something like £4bn. So the claim is clearly bollox (as per)
  8. FIFA chief Gianni Infantino said on Friday the Women's World Cup had generated more than $570 million in revenue Is that really the 2nd highest of any global sport...ever?
  9. Who says Leicester will go up..Or saints? Half a decent season in the Premier League secures you a move to remain in the premier league. It is quite simple.
  10. We keep being told the squad is bloated, but is it? Willy, Tino, Orsic, Diallo, Theo, DCC, AMN, Mo, Lavia, JwP, Salisu (plus other fringe players) have already departed the first team squad, with only 3x coming in, and we are already stretched in CM and CB. That is before the likelihood of Adams, Big Paul, KwP, AbK and Sully leave...along with the usual unexpected departure
  11. forgive me, but these exact words were uttered this time last year, and in January in fact. in the meantime, we are leaking like a siv, despite having the ball most of the time...
  12. bizarrely, someone on here was calling Wilcox a genius for our performance this window. So far, we have bought another Man City kid and a free from Swansea...that is it.
  13. But we are the financial powerhouse of the league, apprently
  14. Are you missing the point, even a handful of good games secures a move to REMAIN in the premier league. Either that, or joining us an potentially never playing in the premier league.
  15. 9/10 window so far, yes? Net-spend trophy well and truly in the bag....again
  16. we are not in the premier league this season, they are. As the transfer market shows, you only need a handful of good games to secure a big money move
  17. He aint giong to Luton, just has an upset tummy
  18. They (plymouth) have 2 dominating CBs also. If we cant utilise movement, armstrong will be a non-event
  19. we have one of those - Adam Armstrong. He is currently the Division's top goal scorer
  20. You are likely to be right.
  21. its football...an industry full of shit...or that was what SFC were told
  22. In all seriousness about Saints having too much for them, I think Plymouth will win. They are formidable at home, have serious pace on the counter, which is what will undo us as we miss loads of chances, and leave ourselves wide open at the back. We have already proven that keeping the ball will not stop the opposition from scoring (lots)
  23. Sports Republic, turning teams to shit for 18 months...
  24. Could be holding out for a premier league club, or to stay at West Ham
  25. Any chance we are going to sign a player or two, given many are just lining up to get into the building? we currently do not have a CM not decent CBs (or keeper). Recipe for Championship mid table mediocrity
