I typed that in relation to Egg's post, I even quoted his post to show it was in response to that. If you look on page 3 I've even gone to the trouble of posting all the posts in that conversation - it was a different one to the one you were having. It's quite amazing how you've managed to confuse yourself with this, but do keep putting your hand up when you need help, there's a good little chap.

Really?.... First, you stated this - pretty clear it's about the 'gay point', no? You then said this : I quoted that and questioned it given your previous statement about the 'gay point' - the implication being that you've previously stated it was 'not clever' but then you claim people in authority shouldn't be fearful of giving anecdotes, which is exactly what he gave! Then you've claim his anecdote is an opinion, not a fact, when clearly, deciding to tell the world about your sexuality is indeed a 'life choice', given the effect it is likely to have on one's life, especially a professional footballer in a time when there are very few openly gay footballers! Not sure how you've not managed to keep up....
-
You may have been, I wasn't. That is allowed isn't it, discussing something else?
-
So you're claiming that if any footballer 'came out' to the public, his / her decision to do so would definitely not factually be a 'lifestyle' choice, but could be in some people's opinions?
-
Like saying gay footballers who choose to make their sexuality public are making a lifestyle choice and their team mates should support them?
-
Maybe I missed it, where exactly was the 'bomb analogy'?

But each call goes down as a 'succesful' contact. In a world where 'stats' matter, track and trace looks far more efficient every time they succesfully 'contact' someone. Don't expect them to let up until the end of your 14 days

Some more crazy rules. 180 kids in year 11 at my daughter's school. One of those has tested positive so the whole year has been told to self isolate for 14 days! It's not like year 11 has any significance. My daughter says she 'knows of' the person that has tested positive but has not been in close contact with them and they aren't in any of the same classes. According to the NHS, the rules are : I'm assuming the school are being 'over cautious' as bullet point 2 does not apply, but I guess they are damned if they do and damned if they don't, as no doubt they would be slammed if the kids went to school and someone else caught the virus! Technically it would take just five positive tests - 1 in each year group - for the whole school of about 1,000 kids to shut down for a couple of weeks!

I hope you've never seen Shrek, would drive you over the edge

Wait for that terminology to catch on and news features will be riveting! "A person was shot today whilst walking on a brdige. Police are currently looking for a different person". That should help narrow it down

Not a hope in hell at the FA. It'll be a white bloke between 50 and 60.
-
He's a fair dinkum, bona fide racist for sure. He's slipped up a couple of times now and been caught out. I imagine in private he's still referring to the 'coloureds' as 'mud people'. I can't imagine an institution like the FA is going to replace him with anyone significantly different to him though....

Jesus wept! How long are you planning on living!

Oh really? Do they also have a wink smiley, if so, what does it mean
-
So you wouldn't roll it out to NHS staff? Given that 20% of the 'new hospital cases' were actually caught whilst people were in hospital, wouldn't that be a pretty good place to start?

Ah, I see where you're coming from now. My understanding of a vaccine is something that provides 'immunity' to / from a particular infection. They've definitely got a cheek to call this a 'vaccine' if it isn't providing immunity, maybe more of a 'treatment'...
-
Not sure I understand your point and it seems to be semantics.... There is a good diagram on the BBC site that shows how the vaccine works (when someone who is vaccinated subsequently encounters the virus). https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-54873105
-
Not sure it's ever 'died out'. Infection rates were controlled when everyone was locked up, but that's no where near the same as the virus dying out....
-
Not really. If it prevents infection, then if enough people have been vaccinated, it wouldn't matter about transmission as the virus will eventually die out if it can't infect anyone...
-
Good job there won't be much demand for it then, so we can get as many vaccines as we want as soon as we want them, oh, wait, no, every man and his dog will want them! The only safe bet right now is Pfizer shares

A couple of things... 1. Is a dog a requirement for a driving licence? If not, could you have left it at home? 2. You didn't have to drive 1h 20 mins as you could have waited until mid January and taken the appointment there. 3. If you don't have a car and are unlikely to bother to drive to out of the way locations, why the fuck do you need a driving licence? 4. It's licence, not license
