So what does the country that caught them all whilst in their waters do the following year when they have none either?
-
I agree, dispacable actions. I was merely pointing out that she didn't lie about 'reviewing' the policy. The review was carried out and it was decided to raise the surcharge.
-
To be fair, she did review it, then put it up

Where have I said it couldn't possibly rise again - look back through my posts and you'll see the opposite! Now you're just blatantly making things up!
-
Because we have passed the 'peak' of death rates - a couple of weeks ago now - so the important measure is now the rate of infection which will control not only how busy the NHS is, but also, by implication, the death rate. Taking the death rate as a measure on it's own is not, in my opinion, what should or shouldn't dictate when people return to work! Hopefully you understand, but shout out if not. What political reasons am I arguing for - I'm confused as I don't recall arguing for political reasons. Happy for you to put me right on this though, as well as the death rate - that's if you can avoid throwing some more playground insults and discuss like an adult.
-
Link? 200 million school kids are tested every three days - it's not about understanding what you are saying, it's about believing it! Are you going to answer my question about the relevancy of the death rate or have you stuck some pencils in your ears and pants on your head?
-
I agree, the approach should be different region by region, however, I'm not convinced that the scientific capability to make the correct decisions exists within most local authorities! Most local councillors barely have the ability to tie their own shoe laces, let alone make decisions regarding health, safety and wellbeing!
-
The kids that are alive? What does that have to do with the 'death rate'?
-
Lol. I've answered your question but you refuse to answer mine and instead have decided to throw in some school yard insults, seems like the adult response to be fair! According to the stats, about 320 deaths involving Covid-19 were recorded yesterday - the lowest daily total since March apparently - but of those it is not clear how many would have died anyway and how many are above and beyond the statistical norms for this time of year. What 'bit of panic' is this creating that would stop people from returning to work?
-
Indeed, however, like I said, it's my understanding that the unions have been stating it is unsafe for teachers - hence the full PPE needed to protect them. I understand the potential for children to infect others in their families - although as Hypo has stated earlier there is very little evidence that this has happened so far - but given that the possibility for that will exist until a vaccine has been developed, tested and rolled out, should schools stay closed until that time?
-
Because it is the infection rate that the Government and their appointed scientists have claimed is the relevant measure with respect to when restrictions should be lifted. The 'death rate' isn't one of the five 'tests' they have set. Surely the 'death rate' is the end result for the minority of infections and isn't therefore a reliable measure for when people should go to work. Why do you think it is relevant as to why people should or shouldn't be going back to work?
-
This is the second time you've mentioned 'death rate' in the hundreds. Why is that relevant as to why people should or shouldn't be going back to work?
-
What PPE do you imagine a teacher should wear? It's been widely stated - even on here - that wearing a mask is for the protection of others. Unless I'm misunderstanding the concept here, I assume that the PPE is to protect the teacher from the children, in which case they would need to wear the full monty, just like the NHS treating Covid infected patients - shoe covers, scrubs, apron, gloves, FFP3 mask (which are in incredibly short supply right now!), full face mask, hair covering. Not exactly your usual teacher get up is it?

Dot the i's, cross the t's and you can never be too careful It was also a parody of the person I quoted who did something very similar

How old was he?

God, undoubtedly. God created man and therefore gave man the ability to create the vaccine, right?

Erm actually it's not inaccurate. By 'nanny' I meant 'nanny' : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nanny However, I assume the point you are making is still the same as they work typically in one household with children from that household.....

Yes. To ensure that the post was GDPR compliant and that no 'details that could identify a person' were included.

Not sure if you're 'getting it' to be fair. The law that was enacted has been quite clear from day 1, you are allowed to go to work and continue to work if you absolutely cannot carry out the work from your own home and your place of work has not been instructed to close. So there is nothing to stop nannies and cleaners in private homes from continuing to work. That's the law that was enacted and isn't open for debate. Not sure why you've chosen to pick on nannies and cleaners in houses, what about plumbers, plasterers, painters, decorators, gardeners, you don't appear to be lambasting them....

What is relatively safe? Even once a vaccine is finally found and a full program has been undertaken, the WHO still believe that the virus isn't going to disappear - take measles, mumps and rubella where there is a known vaccine that is freely available yet all three of those diseases still exist. So, what constitutes safe?
