  1. Perhaps it's the emotional weight of carrying the pompey pals on their backs every game?
  2. Speak for yourself One day I might class myself as one of the bitterest
  3. I can see why we should be such jealous nutjobs! What we have pales in comparison to the world class fan-owned facilities that the skates have
  4. First class nutjobbery right there!
  5. Those things are mere piffle! What about the clock?
  6. On the subject of threats, is there a petition that needs signing to have Jason Puncheon removed as a professional footballer? He did, after all, make drunken death threats to a group of people : http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/crystal-palace-winger-jason-puncheon-4934627 Are drunken death threats a better or worse crime than drunk driving? Should he be hounded out of his job or lauded as a hero and role model? The lines are blurred, so feel free to clarify....
  7. It's very gracious of you to allow him to work! Out of interest, what work would you deem 'acceptable' in his situation? Is it just footballers who shouldn't pursue their chosen career once released from prison or do you apply this blanket rule of having to change profession to everyone who has been convicted of sexual violence and subsequently released?
  8. You won't find me 'demanding' Rolf Harris is returned back to the little screen the minute he walks out of prison, in the same way you haven't found me 'demanding' Ched Evans be allowed to play football again. However, if Rolf were to legally leave prison before the Grim Reaper comes knocking on his door, then I certainly wouldn't go signing any petitions to stop him from earning a living! For me, that's the thing about our legal / justice system, once you have served your time then your slate is cleared. I didn't decide how long people should go to prison for an offence that they commit, nor did I decide that criminals only have to serve out half of their sentence and I certainly don't begrudge people the chance to rebuild their lives once they have served their sentence. If you want people's lives to be completely destroyed once they commit a crime, perhaps you might be better off signing a petition to have the death sentence re-instated?
  9. Have you signed one / did you sign one way back in the day, to get Phil Taylor banned from playing darts professionally? If not, why not?
  10. I haven't read this entire thread, so forgive me if this has already been covered, but what exactly is so different about Ched - you seem to be highlighting his 'criminality' as opposed to the moral issues relating to his crime.... Take, for example, Luke McCormick : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luke_McCormick Got drunk, got behind the wheel of his car, crashed the car killing two children in the process, went to prison. Sentenced to 7 years and four months in October 2008 and was released in June 2012. He technically still has another thirteen months to serve on his sentence, yet he has been playing football and been paid for it, since he left prison! Not only that, he is Club Captain! How is it possible that one footballer is hounded out of his job, whilst another one is not only accepted back into the footballing world but is heralded as a 'figurehead'?? I appreciate that their are degrees of 'criminality' but in one case only one life was affected by the rape, whilst in the other case, two young lives were taken away which presumably also affected the lives of the rest of the family....
  11. Pretty sure the Tesco issue has gone quiet because it is now completed??? As far as PFC were concerned, they were only due a 'six figure' windfall [ringfenced to be spent only on ground improvements...] once the deal was agreed with Tesco. That has happened and they have had their blood money - hence why the new car park has been shoddily built! The only person left to make any serious money from the Tesco deal is the property developer - however his gamble is looking more and more risky every time another story about Tesco's finances is revealed...
  12. Which ones? Will they start with the missing 2008 accounts and then publish a set a month until they've caught up?
  13. If you don't already have it, why not do the research / learning for Prince2?
  14. Is he being interviewed by Ken Dodd?
  15. It certainly is! I love the skate comments underneath as well, the majority 'backing the board'. Apparently they are loving the open and honest, transparent relationship that now exists! Did they ever get round to filing any annual accounts or have they just made an announcement that they will make an announcement at some future date, knowing that the thick skates will forget what the announcement was supposed to be about! How is the forensic investigation of the old - or is it old, old? - club getting on? It must be finished by now surely? Has it been published? Will it ever be published? I also love that one of the skates has genuinely compared them to being as transparent as a bathroom window, which apparently was a compliment!
  16. Internecine warfare - two delicious words to be drunk in Also, 300 people packed the victory lounge for 'Macca's' Q&A session, but less than half of them have even bothered to get the book - apparently that justifies the 'legend' monika on the sceptic isle
  17. Nah. They've expelled him, completely, he's gone, history! * * Until March 2015 when it's business as usual apparently, so it's kind of like a long vacation for him...
  18. How many did they sell? I'm assuming at that price they sold just enough to be able to afford to charter a plane to fly the team ooopp North? They are taking this fan owned malarky to a different level aren't they, getting the fans to pay for the players to travel in luxury!!
  19. Need, but can't afford
  20. Can the mods set up a global ignore again? Every time DP posts and mentions the word golf, the post should be posted to the ignore box....
  21. Light buld is screwed on the passenger side and can't be replaced - some fool who changed it last time damaged the metal holder so the bulb won't sit in place, consequently I can't see anything on the passenger side when it's dark without putting the full beam on which isn't practical in rush hour traffic! So, I have to change the whole headlight unit Cost is £98 from Euro car parts and rather than pay a garage another £100 to change it, I'm doing it myself From my internet research, it appears pretty simple to do, but front bumper must come off first - anyone who owns a Megane and has ever tried to change a bulb will know how crazy the French designers are! Process I have found is : Take out the six plastic rivets on top of bumper and unscrew 7mm hex bolt. Unscrew 2x hex bolts on inside of each wheel arch. Unscrew 3x 10mm hex bolts on bottom of car - holding lower bumper and protective cover on bottom of car. Prise off bottom and top 'wings' of bumper - should be just 'push in' clips. Screwdriver under headlight unit to prise off another clip. Bumper should fall off leaving plenty of room to remove headlight - another three hex bolts - and put new one in. Has anyone done this before and can they confirm this is the process - I've been told it takes about 15 mins to remove the bumper and that it is 'easy'...
  22. And Bournemouth for Aldershot and Swindon for Eastleigh
  23. True, but he 'gave up' very easily. His head also went down much quicker than a Horton Heath resident when Avram came to town!
  24. I'm sure he's issued a humble apology to all those skates he lambasted....
