I think the board were too interested in getting a fee for Oriel. There's no reason why we couldn't have kept him and let him go on a free at the end of the season. Sure, he wouldn't have been a regular starter but he would have been more than adequate cover. The nominal fee we got looks like great business now.

He shouldn't be playing end of. We spanked 13 million or so on someone who should be a back up keeper. We needed better and we needed experience in that position. Am not a fan of what the League as become, but to not be a part of it is far worse than not being a part of it. It wasn't so long ago that the club nearly went out of existence due to a relegation that was totally avoidable. I really think that another relegation would be a disaster for the club.
