  1. Irons from two bit leagues and players under 21 no doubt.
  2. Guess that means we weren't serious when we made the supposed enquiry then. You'd think for the price it would be a deal that would interest us. Can only imagine wages were too much for us.
  3. To be honest, if he scores the goals that ultimately keep us up, the fee and wages will be excellent value
  4. None of the names that we are being linked with in the Championship are really inspiring me. I think I'd take Ings over all of those guys
  5. Agreed. Doesn't help with Sky etc banging on about how great a job Howe is doing. Take away the money and they would be bottom six with us.
  6. Late 80s for me. Inspired by Jason Donovan. Thought it was a good idea back then.
  7. I think the problem was the fixtures. Had we had on paper three tougher games against the top 6, nobody would have seriously questioned if we had lost all three. The fact that the three games were kinder fixtures that we all thought we should get points, and didn't, meant that the pressure from the fans was on Jones almost straight away.
  8. Fully agree. If he keeps us up, he will have fully justified his appointment.
  9. To be fair, I do think he was stung by the criticism. Am thinking he didn't realise just how broken this club is. Am not a fan of his, but if he keeps us up, you can't really argue with the appointment.
  10. If only we showed the same grit, passion and determination against Forest. Would have made the table look so much healthier
  11. Why can't we have a left back at left back? Obviously doesn't really rate Perraud
  12. Only my opinion! Lack of quality is the main issue!
  13. Sorry Chez, have you not noticed were are much worse.
  14. Lack of quality is hugely evident. We aren't staying up.
  15. Fuckin goal from a corner again
  16. Either that or first goal wins this.
  17. Man Utd and Reading? What a waste of time that is
  18. Not impressed to be honest. Watched the Japan games at the World Cup. Another hard worker with not much of a goal touch.
  19. I get what you are saying, and we as a club are fractured and disjointed. I guess when the club finally had the balls to sack Ralph, I was expecting a new guy to absolutely hit the ground running with the new ideas and a fresh approach. What I didn't expect was Nathan Jones. It's customary to replace one outgoing manager with someone who is better than the previous incumbent. Am very unsure if we have actually done that in this instance.
  20. By that rationale, the worse will be relegation. We simply had to have a new boss that could have made an instant impact. We don't have time to go through a period of change, we need results. The non performances against Brighton and Forest were not what was reqiuired. He had 6 weeks during the break to sort out a formation and a team that could at least show some fight and battle. The two home games produced neither.
  21. I get what you are saying about the Forest game, but we were still a complete clusterfuck of a team even at 0-0.
  22. I don't need a stat to understand that our forward players regularly under perform. Answer is every week out on the pitch.
  23. Jesus Christ. The only stat that makes any difference to me is the one that says Saints got more balls in the back of the net than the other team
