  1. Not unsurprising, still thought he could have offered something. Good luck to him in his next step. One of my favourite players from the last few years.
  2. I don't get what is so difficult to understand. Am non-plussed about England, don't care if they win, lose or draw. Same as if I was watching Scotland, Germany or Italy. It is possible to watch a game of football without having a vested interest in a particular team. Yes, I will most likely watch the England games, but not my thing to piss and moan when they get beat, nor will I be dancing in the street should they win the tournament.
  3. No, but I was just expressing my personal opinion that I don't find watching England my thing. No drama if you don't agree with me.
  4. Hypothetical speaking, if someone said to me would you rather Saints win the FA Cup or England win the World Cup, I would pick Saints winning everytime. It's just a personal choice, I love football, but just find all the hype surrounding the England team boring. I couldn't think of anything worse from a football perspective than watching England play live. Maybe is just a club thing that I find difficult to embrace. When these guys are playing for their clubs you give them absolute dog shit abuse, but when they come together for the national team they are all heroes.
  5. Of course it is. You can watch a game without caring about the outcome. Did you watch the Champions League final or the FA Cup final? Did you care about who won either game? I watch football but I only care about Saints. England winning doesn't have any effect on me at all.
  6. Think that's pretty much how I feel. I usually have more of an interest in the games that feature our players. Sadly, beyond Adams and Bednarek there isn't much else.
  7. Couldn't care less about the national team. Being a football fan and wanting the national team to win aren't mutually exclusive. Would much rather Saints win a cup than having England winning a Euro or World Cup.
  8. I'll watch all the games, but guess I don't really class myself as an England fan. Never been able to get excited about the national team really.
  9. I have zero interest in watching England. I will be watching, but couldn't care less if they went out in the group stage or not.
  10. He should be absolutely nowhere near starting a game for us. Ever.
  11. This is what worries me with Martin. How loyal is he going to be with the squad that got us up?
  12. Isn't Ramsdale just as bad as Mccarthy with the ball at his feet? Thought that was one of the main reasons he was pushed out for Reyna.
  13. Decent shop window for him then, should he make the cut and get some game time.
  14. With regards to Wilcox, at least it's helpful that we won't be shopping in the same markets as United. If he had gone to a rival club, we might have been trying to buy the same player.
  15. Not played, but shouldn't be ignored: White Stripes - Seven Nation Army Blur - Song 2 Faithless - Insomnia Green Day/U2 - The Saints Are Coming In
  16. Think that's fair enough. If he can stay fit pre-season, get some friendlies behind him, we should have more than an idea of what he can do.
  17. Is he in the Albania squad for the Euro's?
  18. Can't find the original thread for when he signed. Was just thinking how he fits into our plans for next season. He's essentially jumping two leagues now with virtually no Championship football to speak off. What do we see his role as being next season? I think it's asking a lot of him to be a starter in the Premier League. Equally on the flip side we don't really know what he is capable of. I guess a full pre-season will give us an idea of where we are at and what the plans will be for him. Am of the opinion that the gap might be a little too much for him.
  19. Possibly much of this close season's transfer policy will be dictated by how loyal Martin remains to the squad. He already said how difficult it was to leave Mara out of the play off squad. Equate that to actually telling him he has no future with us, and we could be retaining players that we need to get rid off.
  20. Hoping that match day tickets aren't going up too much. I can't committ to going to every home game, so rules me out for season tickets.
  21. Think Armstrong wants a career in Law after he finishes playing.
  22. No issue with a player leaving to better themselves etc, its all about the manner of the departure and the way the move was handled. Seems a common theme for transfers between us and Liverpool, with Lovern and Van Dyk similiar.
  23. Has anyone thought about the possibility that he could be being brought in to coach the women's team?!
  24. I'd be more worried about the amount of wedge we are paying him if he does sign.
  25. I would expect him to go back to Leeds on loan if a deal could be done. He needs to go back to basics to get his career back on track.
