My apologies. I just don’t like this whole situation. It’s stupid to end up in a situation like this at the most important moment of the season.

The later the hearings are postponed, the better it is for us. If the news is true and the case will now be handled within 24 hours, I fear the worst. Right now, everything points to us not being in the final. The tickets would already be on sale if everything were clear. With more than a week left, the team could still easily be changed. In addition, if we lose the Tonda and Spors for a long time, it does not sound good.

Maybe we could suggest this as a punishment to the EFL, but with an added condition of a maximum of two matches, because that already costs six points.

This whole situation is really frustrating. Somehow, I just want a quick resolution so we can move on. If we deny any connection to the coaching staff, then who can actually prove otherwise? Surely they don’t have the authority to deeply investigate people’s private communications — or what kind of independent investigative powers do they even have in a case like this? On the other hand, if we lose on Tuesday, any sanction would hit hard next season. Because of that, even losing a relatively small amount of money would matter a lot next season. A points deduction would be even worse. We’ll still have to sell before we can buy, and if you remember who’s returning in goal next season, that makes this feel even more dreadful. It would be good to hear the decision tomorrow so that on Tuesday we could just enjoy the football.

The team has been going downhill ever since we played in the Europa League. I might be wrong, but our current captain is the only player left from those days. How about another Dane? Christian Eriksen is without a club and might no longer be a target for top teams. But he still needs playing time ahead of the World Cup – and wasn’t Ankersen’s moneyball idea all about surrounding young players with experienced ones? We can pay him whatever salary he wants and still save on transfer fees.
