Azaz was bought as a first choice specialist 10 surely. Scienza can play both wings, but for me he would also be the next best option to fill the 10 spot: The nature of his Futsal background will mean that he can work the ball on the floor around the D in the tight spaces that Championship low block teams enforce. Jander is an all action interception & tackling midfielder, not just a passer. Would be a shame to have him right up the top where he won't get the opportunity to anticipate passes and nick it as often as he is right now. I did quite like that 4-1-4-1 formation though with Downes sitting.

We will never know the terms of the deal. But the time to do the deal is before it gets obvious he is 'back'. Right now (next six weeks) we have the inside track on his fitness so are in the best position to make a 'bet' on it.

I think waiting six months would be too long. Six more fully available games where he gets stuck in with a goal or two and we should sign him up for an extension - otherwise we get into that realm where he gets his head turned by richer clubs, or his agent suggests playing out his contract. I've always liked his attitude, super pleased he had a great game last night, and I'm hopeful that he would show a bit of loyalty to a club that supported him through tough times.

I think I saw somewhere that one had just bought a house, and they both have young families and wives to consider. Also if you were a 'minor' Still with a football brain and you looked at Saints managerial sacking history under SR would you move your wife and family to the UK from their home? Will moved because his wife lives here and he was fed up of being in the wrong country - particularly while she was unwell.
