Do you not think it will be obvious to all at the club the difference in standard when Ramsdale & Bazunu are training together April/May/June next year? Would we not loan out Ramsdale for our year in the Championship, and then get him back once we return: RM spoke today about how our signings have been long term - clearly with one eye on having a solid team in the Championship if the worst happens.

But assuming we stay up. We'd need to have persuaded him to sign a 4 or 5 year contract, because he would need at least two years away on loan before he'd be good enough for the PL surely. Bearing in mind our lack of success with junior contracts recently that seemed unlikely- was always likely to be tempted away by a big money Jimmy Jay Morgan style deal by a PL big fish.
