Although when Steve Clarke held his first training session, they got into the final third and wandered about aimlessly, having lacked instruction on what to do in such circumstances. π

Bestest club ever's under 21s graciously allow Rochdale a victory. Ex-Saint interest. "Reds defender Oludare Olufunwa was then shown a second yellow for a foul in the penalty area, but Ian Henderson saw his penalty saved."

What's his free kick attribute at 37?

Incapable of living in the moment. Only too happy to tell others about that moment for years to come.

Great. The teams we're looking to oppose the changes, are the ones looking to use it for sports washing. π Not that we'd be selected team, but I can think of a number of Saints performances where we all agree what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, and never speak of them again. π I'm trying to imagine there being more kits. Perhaps kits for positions. We have one for the goalkeeper, so why not for defenders...sorry defence and offence in this new world. JWP gets to wear a special teams jersey. But only for free kicks, when he swaps over from his captain's top. All kits will have scrolling adverts across them, of course. π

I don't think Ralph's tactics are clueless. We're playing very much to his plans. Those are a response to 1) other tactics being utterly found out and 2) the subsequent tactics not being effective, never mind getting found out. We're set up not to concede many, hope to hold out and catch teams who leave space to exploit. A Saints team inviting pressure is asking for trouble. Deliberately not taking advantage of weak defences to stick to a rigid game plan is wasteful. Both lead to contained, uninspiring football for me. But it's not clueless. π

Simon Jordan was one making that point the other day. If there are enough US based owners to vote through the changes. 14 isn't it? I see 9 clubs with little US flags beside clubs. B'Mouth would be 10. Even if 1 is 10% for Man City, you never know if a non US one or two, could be swayed. Burnley, Swansea and Norwich have, or are expected to have US investment, from the clubs below. Fortunately the Super League response will have at least shown owners what the reaction would be. But then, they'd have to be thick not to have seen that coming, and went along with it anyway.

Oh that's right. I caught one of her Salisbury bits as well. Lots of years as a Moscow correspondent wiping away any vestage of independent thought, if it was ever there. Puppet reporter. It was quickly in my thoughts too. He's been desperately grasping for one for years. Probably like a number of people. But people who didn't have their responses leaked with gems such as.. "I agree but it's pissed me off those old unappreciative c****." My favourite is... "I pay taxes and always have done so they have no right to do thisβ¦. c****," Firstly, as it was him trying to avoid tax, that ruined his chances, for a while. Secondly, if it was paying taxes, we'd all be in line for one. But it takes more than that. Like a few bungs to the ruling party, or...drones on about class system and corruption for 10 pages... (notes that some decent people do get honours somewhere in there)π If we had to rely on a government based IT system, they'd have to have her mummified, to allow for the thing going online, never mind handling the queue. π

The name was familiar. I read an article from her about Putin's intention to invade being blown out of proportion by a silly media, and that such a thing wasn't on the cards. Poor misunderstood Putin. A search at the time indicated that she'd also written a puff piece for an industrial scale money laundering daughter of a dictatorial mass murderer (Uzbekistan, I think).
