The parties involved will have been advised to get ahead of the story. If the verdict has not already been decided, it's a last opportunity to try and shape the narrative. Both Tonda and Parsons were deliberately low key in their responses. They discussed the impact a bit on the club, but also Tonda and Will as well. They mention the personal punishment, both have already had. Note they say Salt felt the situation was pressured, and not that he was directly pressured. They speak of loyalty (Salt and Tonda both happy to be at the club) and having to push on, making sure to drop suspended sentence in there. They also get point out Chelsea (different thing), and that the Canadian coach was different. This is all a fairly standard approach. It focuses on the people and the punishments already received for them. It doesn't get dragged into hyperbole or criticise the organisation or decision process. Parsons even gets in a face saving suspended sentence. He doesn't give a "no punishment" option. A different interview may have been ill conceived and got the backs up of the powers that be. This one restates the club's views. The alternative having been to say nothing, try not to position the club publically ahead of any outcome/appeal?, and to then be seen to be moaning after the event.

Mixed feelings about this one. On on hand we did get through them often enough, with chances to be clear before half time. On my the other, by being that possessive and waiting for cutting passes, we looked far too careful and failed to dominate where it would really hurt them. We didn't have enough, and there wasn't enough time, after their winner for us to get back into it. We looked as tired as they did, and we got them to run around more than we had to. Perhaps Leo staying on would have made the difference. Sam had a couple of moments, but isn't at that level. None of the other subs did much, while Larin had a poorer day, and Azaz looked frustrated. Downes ensuring he got himself booked really annoys. Frustrated at the pace of it. While I like a number of their players, we're better but didn't show that today.

Since Labour are looking to retrospectively stop people moving here and funding, why not retrospectively declare people funding and then jumping abroad as void too? Then we can rerun the Brexit vote. 🙂

There was his comment hinting at invading Greenland, so this very much counts as another war won. For freedom and democracy, we thank you Donald. The Americans are going to be disappointed when they see the new world map has shrunk Greenland considerably. From the Greenland side, I guess you'd be happier facing up to an invading army (not the Americans, a different non freedom loving one) with the US backing you, than the Danish one.

Just as you say egg, it's a frightening weight, at such larger sums, in a very uncertain world. I probably paid more than I could have right the way through my mortgage. I just wanted as much security on the payments as I could get, so had a couple of longer fixed periods in there. Around that, interest rates fell and stayed low for some decent periods. I bumped a bit about it, but I had the comfort of being safer from sharp rises. I also had the advantage of a bit of equity going in, which made it liveable, with a bit of headroom. Something, as Turkish said, is so often not an option when to get anything, you're already having to overstretch.

When the long day of consulting detective work is done, and the cries of the beggars and workhouse bound have subsided, Watson and I like to look fondly back on the days of mercantilism. Upon which much of the industry, nationalism and foreign policy was built for our empire, which from our vantage in the 19th century, we're sure will never end.
