Seems like the "inverted full backs" are starting to creep back in. Just like the start of the season when we were shit, we're starting to look shit now... 2-1 baggies or score draw. Can't see us winning here.
-
Hull will be an incredibly tough game as well. They're looking a really good side, especially going forward.
-
Absolutley. But personally, I think on balance - given they're hitting some real form and have an easier run in, they'll end up with more points than us. It was always stupid people who thought we could chase down leicester. It was never going to happen, as proven.
-
with the addition of WIFI to St Marys, you really have to question what the motive is here... Wish they'd just leave politics from football

S Armstong has been crap a couple of weeks running now. That team, but smallbone in for Armstong, for me.

Just looking at the next 5 fixtures and I'd say its easily the hardest run of 5 games we've had since we lost 4 on the bounce - arguabbly all season. I cannot see us getting through these next 5 without a defeat, so we need to win the other 4 imo and hope leeds don't gain any ground with a game against Leicester thrown in there. 3 really tough away fixtures, especially with Brum looking a different team (under a manager whose previously outfoxed our manager this season) and Hull, who are my money for the playoffs. I'm gonna go for 8 points Saints Bristol (a) West Brom (a) Hull (h) - Game in hand on Leicester and Leeds Milwall (h) Birmingham (a) Leeds (including 4 excluding our game in hand) Swansea (a) Plymouth (a) Leicester (h) Huddersfield (a) If we're still ahead of leeds at the end of this run of games, we would have done fantastically well.

Still doesn't offer anywhere near enough as a lone number 9 for me, especially when he starts games. Technically he's brilliant, always has been - He has brilliant ball control, can spot a pass and his finishing. He's pretty quick or at least quick enough, but he offers us no focal point at all, which for someone of his size he should be. That being said, he's young enough to improve that side of his game. I think we've seen enough of him in very limited spells to suggest he's more than edequate to step in if needed. Deserves another chance to start this week.

If they set up in the same way as to what they did against us at our place and leeds, where they sit off and let us control the game looking to counter (only examples of I have seeing them), I think we'd be fine with smallbone in the '6'. I'd be really concerned if we have to go to WBA with either Smallbone or Charles back there though. Downes is so important to us. Holds the ability and composure on the ball like Smallbone and defensive soliditay as Charles. He's phenomenal, imo.

The test will be against liverpool. Obviously you'd have to be stupid to expect us to maintain 60-70% possession against them, but it will be a good test for us. They're significantly better than us, press high and press well. Has everything to suggest we get a pasting. If we can hold our own in that game, i'd be very pleasntly surprised.

If he comes back, forwhich I dont think he will, I want him to play in the flase 9 and nowhere else. That's where he's best, either there or the 10, but he doesn't suit the midfield 3 in our system. Personally, if we go up, I think he'll stay at Juve and well swap him for that winger at Juve (Sule?). If we don't go up, he'll go elsewhere in europe way below the 40m quoted.

In fairness, Itchen North isn't a great deal better these days. Block 1 / 2, when it re-opened upon promotion to the PL, used to be pretty moody. It was full of actual lads who moved away from the northam because they didn't want to be around the usual saints shirter clowns (as per your point). Over time, it became influtrated with younger 'want to film and put everything on social media' types and is now no better than the northam for absolute clowns. Itchen North has followed the same painful death of the Aquascutum Scarf, Stone Island and CP Company for 'Noddy Appeal'.

If we fail to go up (which I think will happen) I want to see a load more from these 2 next season. The fear is, we go up and neither will get a look in.
-
Let me just get this right... You're suggesting we should/could/might play a 17 year old (attacking being biggest strength) LB at CB and a 17 year old attacker at Wing back... LOL

You're really not very good at this nick, are you. Eagles = Palace. Palace were interested in Brooks https://onefootball.com/en/news/bournemouth-reject-crystal-palaces-approach-for-three-goal-winger-33575062 Holy land = Isreal, who was a king of Isreal.. David. Welcomes a man of the left. Who's left footed that's just arrived at St Marys... You guessed it, Brooksy boy. Try as you might to undermine our ITK authority. You'll find no holes in the CoT my friend.
-
despite the 100% ITK record, I think the biggest achievement has been getting right under the skin and raising the blood pressure of always/mickey's to almost catastophic levels. He can't help himself but continue to stalk with the passive agressive laughing recations.
-
That's an easy thing to claim, but proof is in the pudding. Nicks ITK status currently lies at 0%, CoT 100%. From what I can see, you'll be brining nothing to the table. Given how keen you are for us to give names and as much information as possible in a public forum, I fear you may have #LooseLips.
-
Hamstring... pretty sure that was confirmed?
-
If they knew what we knew, they'd have thought the same. Sometimes the dominoes just don't fall.
-
Unfortunately, they have. Wouldn't have minded Moore down here had Che left. Still - very happy and comfortable with the buisness we've done. Can't wait to see Brooks.
-
The fact that after us, he can only get a job at a bottom half L1 side kind of goes to show how bad of an appointment it was. I can kind of understand and see the logic of why we appointed him, but it was destined to fail from the very start. That being said, Selles was significantly worse. Out of the 3 managers we had last season, 1 is currently unemployed (in fairness, he'll pick up another decent enough job - Palace would be a good fit for him) the other 2 are in the bottom 7 clubs in L1 🤦♂️
-
Charles could easily cover both at CB and CM. We'd have to be very unfortunate to lose Downes, Smallbone and 2 CB's at the same time, leaving us short in both positions.. No conern needed.
-
Loose lips sink ships. If you can't see past what's in front of you and want to be spoon fed info, that's up to you. As trusted ITK's, we don't opperate like that. 100% strike record talks for itself.
-
He's just not very good...
-
Exactly - he's not going to be in the matchday squad, hence Turks comment.
-
It was clearly insinuated here @OldNick. You need to do better at looking deeper.
