He didn’t even look at the keeper, just blasted it goalwards. No composure, no quality.

Hopefully it’ll come back to bite me, but not convinced by Archer at all. Not a great first touch, offers little in the air and tries lots of wayward snap shots. Think I’d prefer Armstrong up there with Azaz or Fellows starting.

I thought we played well today, creating chances and nullifying the opposition. I was sat quite near the Saints bench and it was clear that one of the tactical plans was to get Wellington on the ball more, presumably to tie up their full back and leave Scienza more space. At times Still was getting pretty exasperated when Wood or THB weren’t using that ball to Welly wide. Tom Fellows was good when he came on but always received the ball standing still, with his back to goal, always needing to take his player on before starting the attack. A little more urgency could have meant he was running onto the ball or at least had more space. Alex McCarthy had plenty of opportunities to release Fellows or Jelert with a decent throw but too often took the safe option of passing out to Wood. On the whole, it’s starting to come together. I think we need to find a place for Azaz, maybe for Archer. I am an optimist though. Had a fiver on Saints to win 3-0 and Scienza to score.

Be tempted to bring in Jelert at LWB. I’d stick with Ross Stewart up front. Macca, Jelert, Quarshie, Wood, Edwards, Jander, Charles, Fellows, Azaz, Armstrong, Stewart. -
Much improved. Would like to see Jelert come in for Manning as I am still unsure of his defensive capabilities. Other than than, something to build on. Don’t think we’ll have Jansen for too many seasons.

So much better. The defence looks assured and can spray a pass about when they see one. The difference I think I in the midfield with Jansen. He get the ball and looks forward. I think it was him that got the ball just outside our box and sprinted up into their half before feeding Fellows. Much better than Flynn”The Wall” Downes, not because he is so hard to get round, more that’s the only pass he can produce.

Good team and almost the end of the Russball era. I think he saw McCarthy makes the saves the other night and realised that so long as he doesn’t try to be Rene Higuita, the shirt is his for a while. So good to see THB and JS out. For too long they’ve been the first names on the team sheet when in all honesty, they’ve been pivotal in our decline. The pointless passing, the error strewn defending and general incompetence. Just hope fans are willing to give this new set up more than half hour before they start moaning.

Thats Saints for about the last seven seasons. Miss chance after chance, before gifting a goal. Up till that point we were moving the ball well and looking positive. So much better than the tippy tappy sideways crap we get from JS and THB.

My only gripe so far is watching Manning defend. When their winger gets it, Manning drops back into space and hopes Scienza or somebody else will shut them down. If they do get through 1 V1 with Manning, he doesn’t shut down the cross. Living the fact that the back five are moving the ball up the field with more urgency and purpose.
-
Onto a hiding to nothing really. Damned if he makes changes and damned if he doesn’t. I’m hoping that the three centre backs show a bit more urgency than Captain Jack and THB.
-
This absolutely pathetic, embarrassing. If we have made no progress by Xmas then maybe questions should be asked. Chopping and changing manager doesn’t help the club, the players or the finances.
-
I am hoping that he will come good. The players have got to take some responsibility for being so poor though. THB was a liability today, not Stills fault if he can’t win a header and gives away silly fouls. I’m more concerned with the big difference between the attitude of the front 4 and the rest of the team. The front four are making runs and looking to get in dangerous positions. The problem is that the rest of the team especially the back 4 either don’t see the runs or aren’t capable of making the pass required. Just sideways and backwards, and repeat.
-
Too late now but we needed to get rid of everybody associated with last season, and Russball. I would rather have Wood and Edwards at CB than these two jokers.
-
THB believes the hype. He’s an England international. I think he’s a fucking liability.
-
Get Roerslev off, Wee man into RB and Scienza on at LW.
-
Boring and predictable. Centre back to full back, no attacking option inside so the only options are back to the CB or down the line to the winger. The winger gets the ball stationary, back to goal and no space to work with. The ball needs to go inside before going to the winger.
-
All very good spending loads of cash on the attacking setup but with a back three of Baz, Stephens and THB we will always leak like a sieve. So frustrating to see the same mistakes time after time after time.
-
I think five games is a bit soon to judge. Many on here were slating him for playing five at the back and are now slating him for playing a four. For me the problem is the distribution from the CB pairing. Too often the ball is passed to the full back which then limits the options, either back inside or down the line. I’m hoping Jansen, replacing Downes, can become that player to show for the ball and provide an option. I know Still wants width and wingers but it doesn’t work going straight from full back to winger. If you’re just gonna keep the ball wide, it works better with a Bridge / Marsden set up where the MF tucks in and the FB bombs on. All pointless though if you are whacking crosses into Archer, Armstrong or Fraser.
-
We pass the ball to the full back and then it’s too tight up the line. Surely we can pass the ball from FB into one of the two midfielders, who can then release the wingers for them to run on to. Too many players are getting the ball at a standstill, facing their own goal. Limits the options they have.
-
Get Downes off and the German lad on.
-
On a positive note, it’s been a shocker but it’s still 0-0. Wee man needs more of the ball against the full back who’s on a yellow. Where he tires, get Robinson or Scienza on. I’d be tempted to get Big Ross on for Archer if we are gonna persist with this long ball. At least he can hold it up and bring Azaz and others into the game. Only player really playing is Shea Charles.
-
Can’t really spot where the extra attacking player is seeing as we’ve gone to three at the back. We’ve just got to be patient. They’re doing plenty of time wasting.

Can’t send you a DM as you can’t receive them. Happy to sell it to you but the transfer info needs to be in before midnight this evening or it’s a no go.
