I would rather bring nobody on at all than BBD!

We’ve actually played some good football but as always, we’ve absolutely gifted them two goals. Jack Stephens, enough is enough. RM can’t defend this one. He’s not a Premier league player, bang average in Championship at best. He’s always got that pathetic petulance in him. The big plus point is that he will get a decent suspension so we may have a chance. Woods looks good, Aribo positive, KWP superb going forward. I just hope we can keep it respectable.

I have always wanted to believe that Russ ball would come good in the end. I thought we had a lot of bad breaks, dodgy decisions, unlucky deflections but eventually one has to admit, we are just not good enough. We spent the best part of £40 million on two players who were key in a team that o my finished 4th in the championship. No strengthening, just what we had before. The recruitment has been awful and the system, whatever it is, doesn’t work. Teams cut through us like butter and we work the ball through them like treacle. Just a bit bored of it all now. My day out at Wembley was amazing but now it’s just miserable. I actually thought we would get a result tonight. We could be four down. The players just aren’t good enough and the manager is sadly lacking in every area.

Not sure altogether why but feeling pretty optimistic this evening. Reckon we’ll hang on 3-2 with an Arma brace and Fernandes.

Lots of focus on Aribo and Fernandes today to be a bit more creative. If Dibling gets at their FB early and he gets a yellow then it’s the way forward. I think we will be ok and get the win. Just hope the crowd stays with the team if there are a few misplaced or negative passes.

Not quite sure what formation this’ll be. Maybe KWP at left winger with Manning behind?

Just don’t get it. We have been creating chances in all our games, playing well at times but just not converting. So why change the whole system. Dibling has been lost this evening yet he has run the show in previous games. If he believes it was working, and I did think it was, why make the wholesale changes. And even then at 2-0, why not change it. He won’t get the boot but I hope he learns from this. Second half, get back to the way we were set up before.

Fernandes is the key for me this evening. With FD and Big Les holding, he has free roam to do whatever he pleases. He has Cornet to close their defenders down and the wingers to shut their FBs ups. He could thrive if he gets the space.

Disappointing but it’s fine margins in the Prem. Hopefully this may be the wake up call for Martin about Jack Stephens costing us again. Dibling has been quality, Ramsdale has made some great saves. It’s not all doom and gloom.

Don’t mind the pink kit that and quite like the Starling home kit but will only be getting a red vest training top when they finally become available online.

£65 for an adult shirt, £45 for junior. Not a bad kit but for some reason it looks more Sunderland than Southampton. Will look better once we all get used to it and get a few wins in it.

At times it was like watching a Nathan Jones team. The amount of long balls pumped up by Pickford was just ridiculous. A team full of top players who play at mainly possession based clubs and we are just launching it forwards in hope to feed off scraps. Noticeable that our goal came from a quick throw out from Pickford. Also, the reason Spain had the ball back to get their second was because of yet another long ball up to Watkins. They get the throw, actually pass the ball forward to a teammate and a few moments later, goal. We were lucky to get as far as we did and that was only because we got lucky with the draw.

My ticket arrived today so can breathe a sigh of relief. Will be getting the train down from Cambridge into Kings Cross.

Is the third party merely being used to dispatch the tickets and Royal Mail still being used to deliver them? Really hope this isn’t the case as some people will be still waiting next week for their ticket! Put it in a box and say it’s a tracked parcel and it would be there tomorrow.

Not the ideal team with Mara but I’ve been unconvinced by Adams and his striking prowess for a long while. Hopefully Mara can do a job till 70 mins when they start to tire and we will bring all the pace on and let Stewart fill his boots with goals. Easy!!

This makes no sense. When Smallbone is the 6 role, we ship goals for fun. Shea Charles plays against Baggies and we keep a clean sheet. Clearly the way forward for Martin is to play the team that concedes goals to run!! Unbelievable. It’s really not rocket science, it’s clear as day.

Should have been Charles’s in from the start. Rothwell has cost us. Misses an absolute sitter to put us one up and then gifts them a goal. Hill have been good but different game if Rothwell scores.

It almost needs five changes at half time they’ve been so bad. Could be Manning, Rothwell, Mara, Smallbone, Arma, Edozie. Take your pick. We need Brooks and Fraser on ASAP.

All paid up for this evening. I’m sure IPTV or a “jailbroken fire stick” is cheaper but no idea how this modern technology works.

Get some pace on. Sully and Fraser on for Brooks and Edozie. Get Smallbone off for any bugger. Not too sure what the footballing question has to be if Smallbone is the answer!
