  1. If Poch goes then I will be gutted. Its been a great season with the football pleasing to the eye and the pundits praising our brand of football, English backbone and progress. For a few weeks we flirted with the top four / six but what now. Are we now gonna be a team that is happy to dettle for 12th -16thin the Premier League? I love the fact that we went to the "big" teams and took themon and gave them a scare. If all the board want is Premiership survival then whats the point? We are on the verge of achieving something special and it just feels we are selling out. Just so gutted as it was exciting times, now its just exiting time!!!
  2. I fear being called a happy clapper but I remember after Cortese left everybody was spouting off about a firesale, everyone must go. It didn't happen. Again, because some of our players are absolute CL quality they are being touted about. Our manager has had a good first season impressing most knowledgable pundits with his easy on the eye style of football, so he is wanted. I think that MoPo is waiting for assurances that we will not merely be a selling club, that he will be able to bring his own team in for the new training centre and the youth teams, and that he will get a reasonable kitty to spend. If any player goes I think it may be Shaw to Chelsea but no others. I am not in the know in any manner, merely speculating with a more positive slant thant all the **** poor journos out there! Certainly no panic yet!
  3. 6th July 2011 Paul Williams joined Saints coaching, 4th November 2009 for Dodd. Not sure how they brought through Lallana!
  4. Might be going against the grain here but I am not really too bothered. Yes JD was a great servant for the club but PW... not really. I think its pretty simple really, the results werent good enough, the progression through wasn't good enough. Yes I know weve had Shaw, Chambers, Reed, JWP Gallacher step upto the first team but what about the next level down, the next new generation. I also think that there is something in their lack of professionalism. Look at MoPo and his team and see how fit they are, good positive role models. Could you ever see the tubby Dodd or Williams managing to play two touch games against Luke Shaw. I hope its not merely a cost cutting exercise and instead we will be getting some top notch replacements in, possibly of a foreign persuasion with a more technical approach to training.
  5. 12 reasons why i dont give a **** about Glasgow Saint! 1) argument about pointless win % is very poor 2) no loyalty, constantly slating anything positive about Saints 3) had his head turned by any fellow WUM that acknowledges his existence 4) lives in Scotland where they don't speak English 5) never shown any love for club or fans 6) FA cup - believes we had a got given right to win the cup 7) one style, no plan B arguing technique 8 ) hes easily replaceable 9) claims that Peter Reid, Fat Sam or Iain Dowie could do better than Poch. 10) he's a moody / ungrateful **** 11) whines when we spend money and offer ambition, whines when we don't. 12) hes won nothing as a manager The end
  6. One of the more trusted Spanish journos on twitter reckons quique Flores has been contacted by several premiership teams.
  7. Levy tends to pay to get shot of managers, not to get them in. Nice touch from Cortese though. Obviously had confidence in Poch's ability, if not his loyalty!
  8. Wonder if MoPo has got £2 million spare. Hope not. http://telegraph.feedsportal.com/c/32726/f/568360/s/3a62cf50/sc/12/l/0L0Stelegraph0O0Csport0Cfootball0Cteams0Csouthampton0C10A8290A870CSouthamptons0EMauricio0EPochettino0Emust0Epay0E20Emillion0Eto0Ereplace0ETim0ESherwood0Eat0ETottenham0Bhtml/story01.htm
  9. Got a hunch they may go for Moyes. Tenner placed at 10-1.
  10. According to the guardian we have rejected the £27000000 bid. http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/may/12/rio-ferdinand-leaves-manchester-united-luke-shaw?CMP=twt_gu
  11. It seems that not only are Man Utd gonna gamble on spending 27 million on a player the manager may or may not want, Spurs are gonna put a bid in for a player laid up with a cruciate injury. This is getting farcical now. Is Wally the kitman still at Saints, maybe Chelsea will put in a cheeky bid. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2626238/Spurs-set-bid-Southampton-striker-Jay-Rodriguez-summer-joined-Mauricio-Pochettino-White-Hart-Lane.html So thats the manager gone, Lallana gone, Shaw gone, JRod gone. Honestly... what a sack of 5hit the mail is.
  12. Why is it when we dominate top teams commentators assume that they are simply playing badly. Every bugger wants our players but we never get thr credit for outplaying other teams. ****es me off!
  13. Nothing wrong with that. Vidic was jumping up as SRL was coming down. Almost had enough of Ray commentating though.
  14. Who is the "analyst"? Never heard anybody so anti-Saints!
  15. No great surprise and no shame in getting beaten at Citeh. Also, doesn't help when the lino misses a six yard offside. Any doubts we had about Gazza have well and truly been confirmed. Simply not good enough. Hope Jay is ok.
  16. I reckon it is medial ligaments . . . . . 6 weeks out!
  17. Personally, couldn't care less about defeat today. I do feel sorry for those admirable fans who made the journey again to see another lacklustre performance. I am more worried about the league and building for next season. When we have a bigger squad then have a go at the cups.
  18. Well done Glasgow for winning in the "look at me" competition.
  19. Ricky to score first and Saints 3-1 win...... 70-1
  20. I still feel quite confident despite the several changes. Unlike all of us on here, the players will have known this selection and been training appropriately during the week. They would have been working on tactics with this selection and formation. I have doubts about Jos but hopefully he can have one of his good games.
  21. A bit disappointing but overall we controlled everything pretty well. Rickie has missed a couple of sitters and has subsequently been trying for the wonderpass to make up for it, but has been giving it away. I like the way we keep possession but it could do with being a little more rapid at times. When we counter attack lets fully commit to it, after all we are leaving pretty much 2 V 2 at the back anyway. I want to see them charging up the field in numbers!!!
  22. Holy crap Batman, its working great! Thanks
  23. anybody got a decent stream for tonight. Mine seems fine when the ball is out but shocking when in play!!!!
  24. Need to get down the wings a bit more, behind them. Stoke are parking a bus on the 18 yard line.
  25. Crouchie really is a bell. Constantly whinging. Reckon 4-2 saints as they will tire.
