But concerned about Forster. He pulled up a bit after the sliced clearance and isn't looking too sure on that left leg. Hope it's nothing.

I think that maybe we did miss a chance to snaffle him but once Spurs were interested we didn't have a chance. Not because we are a tin pot club or they are top six or any other reason. I feel it is simply the fact that he can strike up a CB partnership with his Belgian team mate for both club and country.

CDAJFU if he helps take points off teams around us!

Osvaldo to QPR?

Dad was a Saints fan (from Cornwall but teacher training in Winchester) so I was a Saints fan born and raised in Cambridge. Went to first game at Portman Road on 1st Dec 84. and although I couldn't be mascot, dad has organised that I meet all the players in the changing room prior to the game. Met Shilts, Wallace, Steve Moran, Mick Mills..... We won 1-0 thanks to a David Armstrong goal. Because of Saints I relocated to Southampton where I lived for ten years before shifting onto Devon.

Been rumoured on twitter by a generally reliable ITK source (Tancredi Palmeri) that we are in negotiations with Boca Juniors over a six months loan deal for Gaston.

We Spent Nearly £40mill on Mane, Long, Forster and Gardos
Scoobysaint replied to Pastor Patrón's topic in The Saints
Why bother coming on here. You are clearly a village idiot trying to wind people up. We lost tonight because we missed chances and made two individual errors. Quite simple really but clearly not for a half wit troll such as yourself. -
That as simply fantastic! The link up play especially down the wings was sublime and the backheels, flicks were a joy to watch. The amount of times we ripped Arsenal apart and had a spare man in the box was impressive and to be honest they didn't cause a huge amount of problems. Unbelievable times for a Saints fan right now. MOM Tadic or Morgan but could have been many others.

I went in through wiziwig and http://cafe-creme.me/chaine5.html is quality although every 20 mins it does closing and reopening. BTW that previous move where we nearly scored was simply beautiful.

Good goal and hopefully enough now. Its been very disappointing considering the amount of times we have got the ball out wide and had chances to put in quality crosses.

Gaston Ramiez to Hull on Season Long Loan - Official
Scoobysaint replied to NorthamSteve's topic in The Saints
Can't help but think that part of this deal is for Gaston to play the Cleba Chala role for their new Uruguayan player. Get a mate up there to help him settle! -
Surely a joke thread. Protest against a board who have got top dollar for players who wanted to leave for top teams. It seems that you think we should keep people against their will and force them to play well or train with the reserves. Personally I would rather have the money. The board have got a few weeks to reinvest the money and I would prefer the manager and board to take their time. May be best for the OP to disappear till the season begins and forget all this immature drivel about protesting!

The Mail has stooped to new levels with this piece. They forget to state no players were on the pitch as pre season hadn't started. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2675327/Ronald-Koeman-tweets-view-Southampton-training-ground-without-player-sight.html

Lallana completes move to LFC for a fee of around £25m
Scoobysaint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
They didnt even use a happy goal scoring pic, just one of his ratface sneering!! -
Thank you for thorough and informative post. Disappointed to hear that Lallanas love affair with Saints has died but ultimately not too surprised. Interesting about the manager and national appointments, Koeman to replace Van Gaal? The futures not as bleak as some on here love to believe.

If Poch goes then I will be gutted. Its been a great season with the football pleasing to the eye and the pundits praising our brand of football, English backbone and progress. For a few weeks we flirted with the top four / six but what now. Are we now gonna be a team that is happy to dettle for 12th -16thin the Premier League? I love the fact that we went to the "big" teams and took themon and gave them a scare. If all the board want is Premiership survival then whats the point? We are on the verge of achieving something special and it just feels we are selling out. Just so gutted as it was exciting times, now its just exiting time!!!

I fear being called a happy clapper but I remember after Cortese left everybody was spouting off about a firesale, everyone must go. It didn't happen. Again, because some of our players are absolute CL quality they are being touted about. Our manager has had a good first season impressing most knowledgable pundits with his easy on the eye style of football, so he is wanted. I think that MoPo is waiting for assurances that we will not merely be a selling club, that he will be able to bring his own team in for the new training centre and the youth teams, and that he will get a reasonable kitty to spend. If any player goes I think it may be Shaw to Chelsea but no others. I am not in the know in any manner, merely speculating with a more positive slant thant all the **** poor journos out there! Certainly no panic yet!

6th July 2011 Paul Williams joined Saints coaching, 4th November 2009 for Dodd. Not sure how they brought through Lallana!

Might be going against the grain here but I am not really too bothered. Yes JD was a great servant for the club but PW... not really. I think its pretty simple really, the results werent good enough, the progression through wasn't good enough. Yes I know weve had Shaw, Chambers, Reed, JWP Gallacher step upto the first team but what about the next level down, the next new generation. I also think that there is something in their lack of professionalism. Look at MoPo and his team and see how fit they are, good positive role models. Could you ever see the tubby Dodd or Williams managing to play two touch games against Luke Shaw. I hope its not merely a cost cutting exercise and instead we will be getting some top notch replacements in, possibly of a foreign persuasion with a more technical approach to training.

12 reasons why i dont give a **** about Glasgow Saint! 1) argument about pointless win % is very poor 2) no loyalty, constantly slating anything positive about Saints 3) had his head turned by any fellow WUM that acknowledges his existence 4) lives in Scotland where they don't speak English 5) never shown any love for club or fans 6) FA cup - believes we had a got given right to win the cup 7) one style, no plan B arguing technique 8 ) hes easily replaceable 9) claims that Peter Reid, Fat Sam or Iain Dowie could do better than Poch. 10) he's a moody / ungrateful **** 11) whines when we spend money and offer ambition, whines when we don't. 12) hes won nothing as a manager The end

One of the more trusted Spanish journos on twitter reckons quique Flores has been contacted by several premiership teams.

Levy tends to pay to get shot of managers, not to get them in. Nice touch from Cortese though. Obviously had confidence in Poch's ability, if not his loyalty!

Wonder if MoPo has got £2 million spare. Hope not. http://telegraph.feedsportal.com/c/32726/f/568360/s/3a62cf50/sc/12/l/0L0Stelegraph0O0Csport0Cfootball0Cteams0Csouthampton0C10A8290A870CSouthamptons0EMauricio0EPochettino0Emust0Epay0E20Emillion0Eto0Ereplace0ETim0ESherwood0Eat0ETottenham0Bhtml/story01.htm
