Spot on. The points comparison to the season before is daft due to the amount of players we lost as you point out. People always say we were dull but we weren't away from home for much of the season. Didn't we score 4 goals in back to back away games at one point? Can't imagine we did that too often during the recent decade in the top fought. Basically it amounted to that stat about failing to score in our last x home games but we did miss two penalties in that run which could have turned 0-0's into 1-0's. Even so to judge a manager poorly based on a dull end of season run is ridiculous. Hardly the first midtable side to be on the beach towards the end of the season, especially after playing so many games having been in Europe and reached a cup final.

Stoneham would be a terrible location for a ground. The only good thing about St Mary's is the location.

The allez allez song is worse than the baby shark one for Angus Gunn.

QPR and Leicester are the other ones which come to mind.

The slow version of OWTS is shite and should be limited to 2/3 outings per game.

Our away support mostly is terrible these days I find, especially when numbers are good. Expecting Fulham to be the same next week, maybe even more so with the Sunday midday KO.

I thought it was one of our worst away supports of the season if I'm honest. The fact that from 2-0 until halftime over 3k Saints were outsang by about 200-300 Wednesday said it all. Can't stand that Bree song and it's the most typical Saints thing ever; Charlton sang a version last Saturday, then QPR did on Tuesday so of course the Northam adopted it in the second half. Did anyone from upper go outside at half time? Some proper tragic behaviour from our 'lads'.

Wouldn't fancy a second leg at the Den midweek. Reckon they'd arguably be the worst team to face.

Think we've only won two games against teams currently above us so we'll be miles off unless we significantly improve that. Three actually as didn't realise Watford were above us.

Noticed in the latest minutes that 'The club are looking at a reward system/loyalty points for attendance for next season'. Away points for home cup matches and women's games incoming?

Got this last week but forgot to add it here in the madness of the Leicester game.

We had the whole end last time we played there in the cup. Have to give us at least 4400 too.

Having watched that one I reckon it's actually supposed to be some sort of 'wind up'.

Would assume they didn't open all the lower blocks at once, no way did we sell over a thousand in one day to non regulars.

Easily one of if not the best away ends of the season for me, and I'd have thought that even without the 3 late goals. Like you say we got our reward too. What I liked is that after the first goal there was no sarcastic 'gonna win 4-3' or 'we scored a goal' but instead a really raw and visceral 'come on you reds'. It showed that we collectively thought we could really get back into it and I think the players fed on it. I agree too that our support is often better with the smaller followings. QPR was another one of the better ones this season whereas most of the big allocation ones have been poor.

My favourite too though have to admit there's a bit of recency bias there. But I've never experienced anything remotely like those last ten minutes and am still in a state of shock/euphoria now. Thought the away support was class too, whilst a lot of stick was given at HT it didn't really turn at all until the third went in, and everyone seemed bang up for it again pretty quickly when the second half started.

I'm not saying we couldn't win them if we got there, just that for quite a while now it's always been one of the better sides across the league campaign that wins them. It's a good point though that 3rd/4th won't be as strong this year as most, albeit I'd still expect there to be a large points gap between 3rd and 6th. If we made it we'd certainly be the form team but I'm not sure that means as much as it seems sometimes. Sunderland were in rancid form last season. Either way I don't think we're good/consistent enough to make it personally. We'll have another slump at some point and that'll be that. Looking ahead to games is pointlees imo, just take each game as it comes and see where we are come Easter. It'd be the most typical Saints thing ever to go and lose at Leicester tonight just as the fans are getting excited about a play off charge.

Would prefer to win Saturday over tomorrow by far. Hopefully we can win both though.

I think the play offs have been won by the team finishing 3rd or 4th for about 6 years straight so it'd be surprising if we did win them. I still dont think we'll make it personally. Don't think we're good enough to go on the huge run needed.

Maybe one in L1? Think we had about 500 at Oldham midweek when we won 6-1. Played Rochdale midweek too that season I believe so that was probably a small following as well.

Really poor following. Probably been quite a long time since such a low one in the league.
