Newcastle must run them close.

Yeah that's what I'm hearing from a lot of people too. I'm definitely gonna give a miss as it needs an overnight stay so a lot of money with other more interesting away games on the horizon.
-
Anyone who wants one gets one for this imo. Don't see more than 3k schlepping up there. And even that might be a push.
-
Be great if we can get a huge number up to Blackburn. Should be a good opportunity for people who can't normally get tickets to do an away game.
-
Plus one for raspberry beret. Will be giving this a go at Bristol and West Brom.

God no. Our songbook is horrendously limited as it is and you want to limit it further? We need to go the other way and add new songs. The slow version of OWTS gets far too many outings and is part of why away atmospheres fizzle out early as people get bored. Fast OWTS is much better as it can be kept going for a long period, all our best away atmospheres tend to have a continuous 10-15 minute period of this at some point in my experience.

That's an older one isn't it? I thought the one people were on about here was the more recent "football in a library, do do do" (think Johnny Viafara). Both are terrible to be fair.
-
Most likely a bit late for this but have an adult ticket available for this for a tenner if anyone still in soton wants it.

Agreed mate. Made sense to a degree up to now but I think there's a good chance we'll come close to selling out majority of Saturday games now as long as we're in the top two hunt. I'd prefer the EFL took the same view as the Prem really but as the rules state less we should take advantage imo.

No. We finished 8th, 7th, 6th, 8th in 2014-2017. We finished 11th in 2020/21. Well that's not true is it. Some are but there are lots of people are saying that that away fans behind the goal makes a big difference, it's literally been argued on this thread. Though no one has suggested anything about the champions league as far as I can see. The atmosphere question is a different debate entirely which is a valid one but also remains to be seen. I don't anticipate that away fans will sing less in a corner but maybe our support will get louder. Soon find out seemingly. I think it's more likely that our support's just a bit shit personally and we have a lack of songs.

Be interesting to see if the club offer smaller allocations to opposing teams towards the end of the season if we're likely to sell out which you'd imagine we would be. We're not obligated to give 3k so don't see why we would if we're capable of selling them all ourselves.

They weren't at the Emirates during the unbeaten season which I was referring to. Though interestingly they've not won the league since moving to the Emirates despite winning 13 in the 75 years before that. You'd think they'd have been more successful since they got the chance to stick the away fans in a corner.
-
Dunno how Arsenal went unbeaten a whole season when their home matches were played with away fans behind one of the goals. Perhaps they'd have gone 2 seasons unbeaten at home had they been in a side stand.
-
Fair point. Our home record has been appalling all season with the away fans behind the goal.
-
Crazy to think that our 3 goals on Saturday came at the end where the Swansea fans were and we scored none facing our own. Our performance was much better facing their support than ours too. Almost as if which fans are behind the goal isn't as important as some make it out to be.

Uh oh. Sounds like it might be the start of some ultra shite

What in the blue hell is npxg? Actually don't answer that anyone. Don't think I want to know.

I don't think a manager should ever have a big say on big changes such as this considering their temporary involvement with a club. Honestly think it's mental to think they should have more sway than the supporters it effects. Reckon this rumour is bollocks though personally.

Well I didn't say the norm I said high risk games which are very rare for us outside of the skates (who have been kept in almost every time at SMS haven't they?)
-
Could see them keeping fans in and doing that for some high risk games. Surely better than trying to escort them through Chapel etc
-
This hasn't sold as well as I thought, still a fair few left ahead of the all STHs window tomorrow. Presumably a fair few people have picked Bristol over this with them being a few days apart. My group got our 3 so looking forward to ticking a new ground off.

Each to their own! The last Saints shirt I bought was for 2010/11 season and that's only cos it was a special one for our 125th anniversary.
-
Full grown adults buying football shirts is something I'll never understand. Especially other teams.

Yep and if it's only half the Northam then demand will considerably outstrip supply so the club would be daft to offer reductions on these seats. What's the Northam hold anyway? Based on FA cup allocations I'd say about five and half thousand? So half of that is probably around 2750? That's probably less than stand at games now, and assuming people are correct about lots of fans wanting to move there then there's going to be plenty of disappointed people.
-
Any examples from this country where standing 'seats' are cheaper then normal seats in the same stand? I expect the entire Northam to be the same price as I fail to see what would justify the first row of standing to be cheaper than the last row of sitting. If they planned on making this area cheaper I reckon they'd be shouting from the rooftops about rather than stating that ticket prices would be under review. More likely is that all of this will cost money and will be passed onto the supporters.
