Fair point. Our home record has been appalling all season with the away fans behind the goal.
-
Crazy to think that our 3 goals on Saturday came at the end where the Swansea fans were and we scored none facing our own. Our performance was much better facing their support than ours too. Almost as if which fans are behind the goal isn't as important as some make it out to be.
-
Uh oh. Sounds like it might be the start of some ultra shite
-
What in the blue hell is npxg? Actually don't answer that anyone. Don't think I want to know.
-
I don't think a manager should ever have a big say on big changes such as this considering their temporary involvement with a club. Honestly think it's mental to think they should have more sway than the supporters it effects. Reckon this rumour is bollocks though personally.
-
Well I didn't say the norm I said high risk games which are very rare for us outside of the skates (who have been kept in almost every time at SMS haven't they?)
-
Could see them keeping fans in and doing that for some high risk games. Surely better than trying to escort them through Chapel etc
-
This hasn't sold as well as I thought, still a fair few left ahead of the all STHs window tomorrow. Presumably a fair few people have picked Bristol over this with them being a few days apart. My group got our 3 so looking forward to ticking a new ground off.

Each to their own! The last Saints shirt I bought was for 2010/11 season and that's only cos it was a special one for our 125th anniversary.
-
Full grown adults buying football shirts is something I'll never understand. Especially other teams.

Yep and if it's only half the Northam then demand will considerably outstrip supply so the club would be daft to offer reductions on these seats. What's the Northam hold anyway? Based on FA cup allocations I'd say about five and half thousand? So half of that is probably around 2750? That's probably less than stand at games now, and assuming people are correct about lots of fans wanting to move there then there's going to be plenty of disappointed people.
-
Any examples from this country where standing 'seats' are cheaper then normal seats in the same stand? I expect the entire Northam to be the same price as I fail to see what would justify the first row of standing to be cheaper than the last row of sitting. If they planned on making this area cheaper I reckon they'd be shouting from the rooftops about rather than stating that ticket prices would be under review. More likely is that all of this will cost money and will be passed onto the supporters.

Leeds have some of the best away support in the country, do we really think they wouldn't have sang as much or our support wouldn't have been as nervous if they were somewhere else in the ground? Sounds a bit dubious to me.
-
And they all moan that the ground's got a terrible atmosphere too.
-
Away fans are louder at pretty much most grounds aren't they? Hardly think we're unique in that aspect and them being somewhere else won't make them sing less.
-
Was way before my time but surely we didn't finish 18th as would have been a 22 team league back then? Always forget United went down that year too. If they were only promoted in '75 is it fair to say they weren't one of countries best sides for '76? Always wondered why our upset never seems to be mentioned alongside Sunderlands and wondering if that's why?
-
Have they said it'll be cheaper prices? Seems like an assumption based on nothing to me.
-
That's the theory. Whether or not it's true remains to be seen. I'm personally very doubtful it'll make much difference but we'll soon find out I suppose.
-
Not considered that point about sitting being enforced in other areas. It's a good one though and makes you wonder if it'll have the opposite to the intended effect in the Northam.
-
Don't think we'd be allowed to convert the whole end.
-
Genuinely shocked by that. Thought it would take quite a while for this to sell out. Saw this as a dull draw when it happened but really looking forward to this now.
-
I suspect they'd block off the footbridge side and make them go through the industrial estate. Don't see a suitable route to escort say 3k Pompey fans going that way though.
-
Corporate are all in Itchen aren't they?
-
1-4 won't work due to corporate boxes and for FA Cup games the allocation would stretch further down the Itchen and be close to the dugouts and director seats which they'd presumably like to avoid.
-
What about high risk games where they want to police escort the train fans all in go and segregate the fans? Don't see how that would work in Kingsland North
