I know a few people who've got one and none of them were charged the tenner. Presumably they mentioned that to try and put people off.
-
I just rang up and said I wanted one. No charge.

All sounds rather complicated. Glad my plastic card turned up this afternoon!

Suppose that would make sense if he's headlining. Would be far too small if he's on the undercard of a bigger event.
-
Seems a nice down to earth lad. Fair play to him. Not sure where he could box in the city though.
-
Attention. Simple as that.
-
Cracking numbers that is for us. I look forward to being around 2k mutes for 90 minutes!
-
He doesn't have any official involvement with the club does he?
-
Still don't get why they've been allowed to ignore the rule about an away block being pitch side for years on end. Like watching subbuteo. I think they claimed they couldn't due to stadium configuration or something but it's like they've not got the money to change that.

Only around 300 left for Newcastle going on general sale this morning. Fantastic support. Any of the old timers know the last time we took more than 3k up there for a league match? My previous visit during Ralph era we only had about 1100 or so.
-
I genuinely can't even believe it's a thing. Let alone that people actually pay for it.
-
Peoples attention span is lower these days so they know they'll get more views on shorter clips would be my guess.
-
There's a reasonable chance we could witness their relegation first hand this season.
-
Apparently affecting contactless payments too. Could something similar affect digital ticketing or is the tech different?
-
Not huge amounts left from the 3 initial blocks on sale. Presumably they'll add another one tomorrow. Bit rubbish that the highest qualifying people end up with the worst choice of seats.
-
Cheers. Might be the fact I have a ST as to why I can't see them. Seems a bit unusual that they don't have a page listing all of them though. I'm sure they normally do?
-
Can't seem to find the full list of match day prices on the OS. Anyone able to link?

On sale tomorrow starting at 5+ aways - https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/newcastle-vs-southampton Curious that we've gone for the full allocation 'subject to demand of initial sales'. Club must be feeling confident on back of away numbers last season and the high ST sales.

The one 3 years ago was the first one in 55 years.

I think it's each to their own really. I'm the opposite to you in that I've never lost a season ticket but lose/break at least 2 phones a year while out on the beer! I don't think anyone doubts the benefits the club receive from it but I don't think they all benefit the customers too. You mention a good point on sharing season tickets - will this still be possible? Or will holders be threatened with losing them if they hit a certain amount of games they pass on? I'm not too arsed about it personally as this was inevitable and most people are glued to their devices anyway. I just think the charge isn't fair especially with the wooly "case by case" but I'll still pay it if I have to.
-
Yeah the charge is a bit naughty in my book. Wonder what criteria they will use in deciding whether to apply it or not. I think the vast majority of people would go digital so there's no reason they couldn't have offered the card as an option at point of sale.
-
I'm surprised you've gone with the app. Thought you'd go with a physical card given your opposition to this move.
-
Don't get the moaning about this to be honest. There's still an option to get a card should you want one which is what I shall be doing.
-
Isn't our limit less than £105m? That's based on 3 years at £35m a season but we'll be allowed less for the championship season so the threshold will be considerably lower than that figure. This is what happened with Forest I believe.
-
They went unbeaten at home in final season though so we were the last team to win there in penultimate game of 15/16.
