You reimbursing me my ticket?
-
Did the TV microphones pick up the 'sacked in the morning' after the 5th on Wednesday? I had some middle aged woman start shouting at me when I tried starting a 'martin out' chant. We've got a strange fanbase.
-
Can see there being quite a few empty seats here. Lots of spares coming up from people who suddenly 'can't' make it.
-
Martin wouldn't come close enough to the away end.
-
Yep including a busy end of the year with aways and the league cup quarter final. You may be right but I'd be surprised if we sold 3k for this one. Last season there was a lot more positivity among the fanbase I'm almost certainly gonna give this one a miss but will be doing Forest.

A club with our infrastructure and academy was always going be a attractive proposition in the third tier and on the cheap. We still undoubtedly got lucky with Markus. Imagine if it had been SISU.
-
United on sale next week with the away games being reset so starting on 4. Taken the full allocation so this might be the first (and only) league game we don't sell out this season. Thursday night in January on TV coming after a very busy 6 weeks or so. Great opportunity for people to get a ticket who've not been able to so far.
-
What happens on the pitch is largely irrelevant here as far as I'm concerned. It's in the away end where there's a victory to be won.

Has to be done. Yesterday was the first game I've been to since he was here which didn't have anyone try and start "Russell Martin's red army" and the reaction to their first goal was very negative and noticeable. The tide has turned and his behaviour yesterday will escalate that further. I'm confident we'll see a big reaction on Friday. Needs to be regardless of how it's going on the pitch too. Don't care if we take the lead give him some stick.

Brighton needs to be the match where those of us going make our feelings known inside the ground. His comments and actions at the game today are a whole new level of arrogance which says a lot in itself.
-
I just don't understand the wanting us to lose/get hammered mentality. I can't stand Martin myself and thought he should have been binned after Bournemouth but would still rather us win than get a humping which wouldn't guarantee he gets sacked anyway. The idea that were we to get a shock win today meaning we'd have 6/9 there'd people out there who'd be annoyed I just find totally alien. Wins will be rare this season no matter who's in charge so I'll continue to hope for them and enjoy them if/when they come.
-
I hope we win funnily enough.
-
Has anyone who bought in those blocks been told they'll have to move? Can't see they'd leave them empty. If anything it'll be giving them a bigger allocation.
-
Yes it's 10% but I believe we used to give up to 3300 in the old Northam away end whereas it's much closer to the 3k mark in the new one which wouldn't fit the 10% requirement. They'll just have to suck it up though. As you say there'll be loads in the home end anyway.
-
They'll cry for fucking ages about that. Superb. If this was always the plan re the league cup I wonder if the club cleared it with the EFL.
-
Club said they'd go to further into the Kingsland for FA Cup games. Be interesting to see how it works segregation wise given the permanent barriers they've put in place for the away end, assume we'll lose some seats for netting. Never mentioned anything about league cup but it's not that many extra tickets (10%), unsure if they would fit in the away section. Unless they're just not going to bother and cite safety concerns. Has anyone in the adjacent chapel / kingsland blocks had to move for this?

Yeah and speaking of Leicester I remember our fans singing "Manchester City, we're coming for you" after they went 8-0 up at St Mary's as we were due to play City next. The point is there are plenty of examples of our support being good while the team have been shit shit. The 3-0 at Brentford under Ralph during that horrific run the season before he got sacked is a good example. I hate this way of playing as much as most of us do but it doesn't mean I would go to a game without any intention of participating. Later in the game I understand it more but there's no excuse for silence right from the first whistle as far as I'm concerned. If I had a ticket for an away match and I decided I couldn't be arsed to get involved then I simply wouldn't go.
-
Good point well made. Love a bit of gallows humour! To be honest I got too focused on the supporting aspect with regards to singing but any sort of noise helps and encourages others to get involved too. I just will never understand people travelling to away games to not make any effort whatsoever and just stand there in silence. Or to ignore the match and be on their phones discussing fantasy football and where to get some pervert powder.
-
Yes I can. If you're not willing to even try and get behind the team don't go and let someone else who will. I'm not talking after the 2-0 here when the game was gone but right from the beginning the game there were loads of people who didn't join in with a single song. I don't get it and never will personally. Suspect we'll have to agree to disagree though.
-
Clue is in the name - supporters. As in you offer support. Which many couldn't be arsed with today.
-
Final whistle? That's a good one 🤣 Call me old fashioned but I expect people who are travelling half way up the country to at least try and get behind the team.
-
Ridiculously bad today. I know it's a terrible away end and the team didn't give us much to shout about but even so there was so many people around me who didn't sing even once and just stood in silence. Worst since Bristol City of games I've been to.
-
Think it's a self perpetuating cycle. People see how every away game is selling out and don't want to lose their place on the ladder. I suspect some also have half a mind on a potential Fratton trip next season. Though that's not looking too likely currently! It will be interesting to see how many more go to members when the games reset to this season which is only a couple of matches away.
-
I don't think the price is that bad in itself. Albeit it's clearly an increase on previous similar games. The bigger issue is surely that there's no older person concession? A very sad trend in football currently.
-
Looking forward to this. Hoping our away support might be up for it given we finally got a win under our belts and as others have said if we can score first the home crowd will surely turn which should increase our chances of a result. Only downside is that I'm in the middle of the stand so will be watching the game from somewhere near Walsall.
