Suspect that allocation will get halved after a couple of days.
-
Are you sure? Pretty sure pubs opened last time with the bubble.
-
Surely nothing the old bill can do if enough people turn up? It's not my bag and I was one of the people who mocked it beforehand but theres no doubt it set the tone for the match atmosphere wise and I think it'd be good for this game. Cans and pyro at Ted Bates statue 9am.
-
Sending them late as possible? Can't see that going wrong.
-
True 😅 Don't think accuracy has ever been important for football songs though and that one is much better than half the shite we sing these days. We've never been by the far the greatest team the world has ever seen. Rickie doesn't stand at over 6 ft 3 Les Reed didn't go to Europe to buy a Lambo Papa Waigo wasn't always... oh wait that one was accurate actually.

This is spot on. We can't afford passengers in the team and we definitely can't afford them in the stands. Even if we're struggling, well especially if we're struggling, no fucking groaning and keep the volume up. Boo every bit of sustained possession they have, cheer every tackle, roar the lads forward at every opportunity. If you're sat near the skates drown the wankers out every time they open their pikey mouths. Everyone needs to hold their fellow fans to account. Call out anyone checking bets or social media during the 90 minutes. I hate people doing that anyway but its completely unacceptable for this fixture. We're slightly off the boil on the pitch but us fans can make the difference here. Let's get right into the cunts and do the city proud.
-
'We are Southampton, the pride of the south' probably qualifies as an old song now. Borderline impossible to get going at away games in recent years and its like a lot of nippers don't even know the words.
-
They didn't cause any issues last time did they? Though I've often wondered how the old bill would handle it if a group managed to break out of the so called sterile area. Try and force them back in or accept it and do a hasty escort to the station? Latter obviously not an option for the first game.
-
Seemed to be a few missiles lobbed between home and away but there was definitely something else going on too.
-
What happened in the chapel towards the end of the first half? Looked like a couple of Saints fans fighting amongst themselves?
-
Plenty of room in the industrial estate surely? Be funny if there wasn't and they had to park a couple elsewhere and do a small escort to the 'sterile area'. Do think the sterile area will be much harder to control at that end though, in particular on the marine parade side unless they're going to stick the fencing up on the path.

Yep blocks 27/28 for them should be £45 really to match up with ours. The prices are a complete embarrassment really and definitely a piss take by the club for us also as you say. I found it interesting that they're doing more than one pick up point for the coaches this time rather than making them all go to the stadium. Including one at Winchester of all places. Hopefully we do the same for fans who don't live in the city in January.

Skates still not sold out. Surprised they've not opened it up to STH additional yet. Have they put their tickets on sale yet does anyone know?
-
Went on general sale at half 3. Sold quite a few it seems, though I suspect a large amount of seats will be empty on the night.
-
Anyone who wants one will get a ticket for this.
-
Think two Leicester players got hat tricks in the 9-0 too.
-
Lambert (multiple) Beattie (4-2 v Fulham) Mane (6-1 v Villa) John (against Hull I think, can't recall score) Feel there was another one around a similar time to John but can't remember who.

Best away support at St Mary's for ages I reckon. Very rarely were they quiet and lots of song variety. I quite enjoyed myself at the back of the chapel even if it's bound to be a work in progress. Pleasantly surprised at the lack of action from stewards in trying to sit us down.
-
I'd much rather see an attempt to build a settled team. There's an international break at the end of this month and there's more value in trying to build team cohesion than there is in resting players at this point of the season.

No extra time in league cup.
-
That would be the quickest route for sure and closer to away end but probably harder to secure on the way with narrower roads and more side roads leading off.
-
No chance they'll publicise the route and give those looking to cause an issue a chance to prepare. Think last time they came off at Bursledon and down through Bitterne.
-
It'll be a travesty if people who want to sit and not get involved have bought in those blocks.
-
Blackburn definitely will. Suspect Norwich will too now it's 12:30. Might see a drop off after Fratton too depending on how we're doing.
-
Both PL years we got them in a cup. You're right that a home league cup tie would be amazing too, especially if it was second round so it took place before the league game. First derby at St Mary's with the new away layout and it's a night game with no cup tie. Be absolute chaos.
