Well put. I dont see the need for 5 defenders every game. Just leaves the midfield wide open or bypassed. Had SIX bloody defenders on versus Blackburn and that was a shitshow.

Will most likely end up costing more when the private services send the elderly back or to hospitals when they're looking after their profits.

Bad example with Crouch. On the whole my recollection was that he was up for it and the majority of Saints fans liked him. Brown envelope Bagpus though. On day 1 he came in with a negative attitude and said off the bat it'll be a miracle to save Saints I feel really impacted the team that season.
-
Yep. Said it before, he seems to step up at every club so far. If he continues to have a good season I can easily see a premier league team taking a chance. Saints probably sell for £20m.

Agree, McCarthy is just as weak as Bazunu. Neither commands their box at all.

Damion Downs - Official: Loaned to Hamburg
JohnnyShearer2.0 replied to Matthew Le God's topic in The Saints
Yep agreed. Thought he was a little hard done by. Every other kick was a hoof out in the last 20 minutes. -
That was a hard watch. Something isn't right. No leaders on the pitch. Good to see Robinson back, yes his game time may need to managed but he completely disappeared for a few games. Scienza, you can tell he just wants to do well. The last 20 minutes were awful. It was all QPR, doesn't help when there is no midfield.

Sunderland have a mix of youngsters and champ players along with who they bought. Also shows having a game plan and not being Man City aldi version can work too.

Can't see Matsuki being a bad apple.
-
He has to be seething at what has transpired over the last few years. Can't be happy at all with this shitshow.

I genuinely wanted Still to do well but the board needs to just let him go. What a waste and mess all round. Does need experience to settle it all down.

All changed when the Preston keeper went down and their manager told the team to press. Mess at the back, 5 defenders and still cant defend. -

Bloody hell, what a joke. So scared to to play attacking football even at home. -
In fairness, I think that's a Saints thing. How many times have Saints failed to take advantage playing against 10 men? Too many for my liking. OR how many times the opposition have several players injured and playing reserve midfielders as defenders.......AND Saints still manage to effing lose. Every single time!

If Saints stay in the division, can easily see a promoted team taking a chance on him. IF he shows more of his promise throughout the season. Late bloomer but seemingly stepped up every time he has moved upwards. -
I've always personally rated Keifer Moore. Solid championship striker. Think many would have been fine with Moore or someone similar on the basis that they would have supplemented Downs or stepped in for the inevitable Stewart injuries. Not sure why you call bull on people who would have liked to have him or someone similar in.

Rubbish argument if the teams like shit. Need a balance of experience and youth. Decent managers can do that. Yes, goal scoring has been poor but for the rest of it, I'm not seeing much progress in terms of what Still is trying to achieve.

Annoyingly we had children knock on our door last even though we don't have decorations up. Gave them them oat bars as we dont tend to do chocolates and sweets in the household. That'll teach em.

Fair enough that is one avenue but illegal immigration still an issue. Big part of it, in my opinion is that the UK is seen as the softest / easiest place to settle.
-
Which countries would you like to cap?
-
Yep, doesn't make sense. The fact that he wants to play 5 at back against teams like Swansea AND Blackburn conveys to me that he is scared of the opposition. Why not let the opposition be scared of Saints attacking players.
-
Didn't someone say his parents and agents were split in what to do? Either way a season in the Champ could have been good for him but then again Still would have been too scared to play him
-
This did my head in last season. Saints approach was all too wrong and so negative. All three teams this season are really going for it. Mixture of attitude, energy and the managers realising what's needed in the premier league. Not saying that Saints would have survived but it would have been nice to see some fight at least.
-
I didn't watch the game but was frustrated that he stuck with 5 at the back. With the attacking players Saints now have why not go for teams. Doesn't make sense or he's massive pussy. Also bringing on a SIXTH defender absolute madness. And definitely agree with the midfield situation when a virus is impacting some players.
