  1. Assuming the fire gets put out today and with the stadium not damaged (and I assume the pitch undamaged too) I can't see how this won't go ahead. That area from the shop to the family corner can be sealed off. If this happened at the away end it could have been different. Players can park elsewhere, shop could remain shut. Chapel fans enter by adjacent turnstiles or through the tunnel. Stewards can chaperone supporters into the stand at pitch level. Advance notice to 'allow more time to enter the ground' Corner exits for fire escape (sic)
  2. Badly need someone creative in January who can capitalise on possession and win games like these
  3. Its our catchphrase - 'A point on the road'
  4. Fortunately that fell to AA and not Che who would would have handled it in
  5. 'A point on the road' It's our new catchphrase y'know
  6. I think he wants a seat in the stands so he can snooze with the rest of us.
  7. My take - in the grand scheme of things it doesn't really matter. We're not top 2, should be OK for top 6. - Hard on Baz, had a great game up until then. Not his fault, if we were good enough for top 2, we'd have been out of sight by then. - For the second season ina row (probably 3rd) lack of quality strikers and attacking play is a root cause. - Overall a draw was a fair result, no matter how painful it felt. - I thought our time wasting was a bit juvenile. Should have just played the game. - Never seen such poor home support! - Wembley in May hopefully! Need to keep an eye over the shoulder. We have to go away to 4 of the top 6. Performances on the road aren't great.
  8. scar tissue
  9. Spot on. It's just so dull to watch. I've got tickets to the next three aways and I just can't get excited. True though, it is grinding out the points. When I look at the last 10 matches table I think 'how the fuck ...' We all know it won't last. It'll be a miracle if this is enough to see us promoted.
  10. Just got back from the game and not wanting to be a negative Nancy, but it was poor; - That possession football first half was boring and hardly got the fans going. Seemed we had 78% possession, but we didn't seem likely to score. It was a dull game for supporters of both teams. - God knows what happens at our half time talks - 'Hey lads, go easy on them, I know its boring out there so let them have the ball a bit'. I've never known such chalk and cheese. Seems to be most games. Why can't we fix this problem? - After the equaliser we picked up the pace. But too little too late. It's not as if this hasn't happened before. - I don't see this team challenging for 2nd. The style of possesion play lacks flair and flexibility. It'll fail as often as it works. Winners have more tools in their toolbox. There's just too much amiss. Playoffs- let's hope can eek it out to stay in the top 6. - Huddersfield were generally dire, which makes the draw really painful. They fluffed a few gilt edged chances. Far more than we did. I'd argue we were lucky to get a draw. - I said a few weeks ago we've had a good run of last minute winners and equalisers but that luck won't run forever. - But to be positive, some good signings and departures in January with some tactical improvements and we could capitalise on this fortunate first half of the season.
  11. I was row C on the end next to the Huddersfield fans, didn't hear that above the usual taunting. Left at the final whistle and didn't see anything kick off. The police guy alongside us just watched the game!! Hardly looked at us or the the home fans!
  12. Thanks. I'll give it another day and then give them a call.
  13. My Watford tickets arrived this morning, but haven't seen the Huddersfield ones yet. Any one received theirs? I have friends up there so we'll head off up there next Wednesday probably.
  14. Any news on the person who suffered the medical emergency? Hope they are OK ...

  16. I'm not so sure, if this happened to Leicester it's a freak result. For us, it's sort of expected. Second half was woeful and like many around me, we just knew what was coming ... and it came. And none of us were that surprised. It's the sort of thing that happens to a mid table team. I think today was the final confirmation that mid table is where we rightly are and will stay. Majority of players are mid table level - Manning, Adams, Fraser et al. There's no real surprise or shock here today.
  17. Awwww, not scar tissue again. It's the new 'well, they had an advantage when they went down to 10 men ....'
  18. Flying Leeds will probably put us to the sword next Saturday. 5 defeats on the bounce, 3 at home should see the manager depart the following Monday.
  19. Is there any other job in the world where you can get paid and be 'not sure I want to be here really and can act half-arsed'.
  20. On a positive note, it will be an exciting end to the season. Whether we avoid the drop or not.
  21. Ipswich feels like a season defining game. Lose that, heads will go down, supporters lose interest and its a long way back from there. I don't think we have resiliency in the team, not enough gritty winners. The manager doesn't seem the sort, the players are weak overall and who knows what the f**k SR are up to. More pain to come I fear. No corners turned yet.
  22. They lost their star striker too 😂

    Che Adams

Assuming we could have got £10m for him, and assuming he leaves next summer, then I guess we're 'paying' some £260k a week for his services for this season. ... hope the goals come! (£10m/45 + £35k week wages that I think I read he's on)
  24. Deadline day, striker crisis ... wouldn't have it any other way. Only had since June 14th to sort it out, but why rush ... tall Pauls are always available on deadline day. Lessons learned 😂😂😂😂
  25. But we haven't been able to buy a decent one in two years, and here we are 8 days out again ... This year though, looks like we're letting go of the two that show promise.
