  1. 'Winning mentality', wtf is he smoking? I saw a lack of urgency, I thought these guys haven't looked at the table ( as Selles said he doesn't the other week). They really don't care. I put some of it down to that infamouse Semmens R5 interview a year ago when he effectively said we don't care about league position, we're about making money on player sales. He needs to go. I fear for next next season. This bunch will get torn apart by those hungry for promotion. The club needs a whole reset. Players, managers and culture.
  2. It's another must-win game lads 🤣 I need a pint of your nectar mate.
  3. Did mine 4 or 5 times before 18. Falling off a bike started it all. NHS said too young to operate yet, but will need to be pinned at somepoint as it will keep dislocating. Dislocated 2 or 3 more times by 25, the last time waking up in in the middle of the night with it dislocated. It was that lose. All mine were A&E jobs to put back in with gas and air. Straightforward process. Lie on your back on the edge of the bed. Doctor straightens your arm and then does a cricket bowl motion while massaging the arm back into its socket. Can take a couple of goes. It goes in with a very noticeable thud and then relief. Very painful overall. Had an operation at 26. No 'pins', they cut, shortened, rearranged and resewn some muscles. 54 now ... hasn't dislocated since.
  4. In any other season this would have been a decent result, but the reality is that it's another weekend lost, with rivals getting the points. We need at least three other teams to be tripping up consistently and that isn't happening. Sorry to be party pooper, but in reality it's another nail in the coffin and overall a poor weekend. Frustrating thing is we played relatively well and Spurs weren't at their best. Its the type of game you just need to capitalise on.
  5. And that my friends is why we're down. Just can't take gilt edge chances.
  6. More convinced than ever that we're down. Only with saints could you make that statement after a home win. Luck is a marvelous thing. It comes and goes, but it will not keep this shower up.
  7. Thank fuck I wasn't there for once.
  8. We've had all of our strikers on bar 2 (Che, injured, tall Paul who has never scored) .. and not a one of them has worried Grimsby, let alone scored.
  9. Is he on the pitch?
  10. Do they add time on for VAR delays?
  11. No club has ever stayed up with 3. We could be the first to do so with 4.
  12. Sure we are
  13. If they are watching this, Leicester must lining up another 9-0 for Saturday.
  14. DCC, FFS, explains why he's never picked.
  15. We become really rubbish when the oppo go down to 10 men.
  16. Where does this leave poor Selles. My guess is that the was hoping for some stellar performances to get into the first team. Nevermind, back to the 1st team on Saturday 🤣
  17. Can we not apply to goninto L2 next season. Be good experience for some of our players.
  18. Oh Mara, oh deary me
  19. This worries me too. I don't know enough about football finances, but the sale of Lavia, JWP, KWP, ABK, Tella and a few others could net £100-£125m which would clawback some revenue for SR. Reducing losses to the point that a cut and run could be the most financially advantageous thing to do. I'm sure they are looking at present and future value. Sell after this year and write off £100m or hang on a few more seasons mid table in the championship and be down £200m. Not an easy choice, but bailing sooner rather than later may be the best value option. And let's be honest, most of us would like to see them to leave with a good nosebleed.
  20. Is it the consensus that he'll be given the job of rebuilding in the championship or is he just keeping the seat warm? Hate to say it, but SR probably need to answer this one soon. If the former then he can use the rest of the season to experiment, work out who to keep, who to sell (I.e avoid a Livramento type injury to Lavia) and start the prep. If the latter, then he'll be just as demotivated as the rest of them and will be spending most of his time looking for his next job.
  21. I thought they wanted off, completely. Yes, can't have cake and eat it. PSG vs Real et al week in week out would get tiresome in the end, and I think it would all head to WWF and 'Drive to Survive' territory. But that would be their problem. Saints and the likes would retain a grassroots atmosphere and appeal more to core football fans.
  22. I was somewhat of a lone voice that thought the European super league was good idea. Let those uber rich clubs that are the playthings of sheiks, oligarchs, drug dealers and arms dealers all play amongst themselves and leave the rest of us to compete in the real world. The finances would all rebalance. Sure, Lyanco and the likes may not get £50k a week, but would that a bad thing ....?
  23. But predictors are a lot more accurate with trends than one-off events. Hence the almost certain prediction of relegation. We will have a few *great* results before the end of the season. Some above will have *bad runs* and others will also have *great* results. Balance all of that and ... you still have to say we're relegated. Before The Wolves game I heard on R5 that only 3 teams out of the last 30 in our position had managed to escape the drop in the history of the Premier league. Not sure whether that was due to position or points, but a pretty solid indicator.
  24. Went last year and parked at the Lowry Outlet car park. No need to book and an easy walk to the ground.
