Exactly this. With our team/squad we should not be scared of anyone - especially if we play like we know we can.
-
With Guly its a case of when he's playing well he is absolutely brilliant and everything comes off for him, whereas when he's playing badly he's just awful. That being said, he's well worth a place in the team and has been absolutely crucial to us this season - anyone who says different is just plain wrong imo. However, I do think there are some away fixtures where he isn't suited and should perhaps drop to the bench (Pompey away being a prime example but we didn't have the depth we do now to change it round) - wouldn't be surprised to see him make way for Puncheon on Tuesday but if he did start I'd have faith that he could do a good job.
-
So excited for this one. Would hope we keep the same team or close enough too it. Not sure its the right kind of game for Guly on the right though so wouldn't be too disappointed to see Punch in on the right and Guly dropping to the bench. We can win this one - the confidence is back after today and if Billy and Rickie continue to play like they did today then we'll cause them so real problems.
-
also can't believe people continually have it in for Danny Fox too. He's far far better than Harding. Whenever Harding plays we don't play well.
-
Huge result - sounded a great performance as well. A great time for us to play the Hammers now --> back to the top we go!
-
Winners. Coyr lets smash the hammers now
-
Hammond on for Guly.
-
Connolly but disallowed.
-
Why was Billy taken off? Sounded like he was playing well.
-
AWESOME line up there - COYR.
-
You say that. But if we were to get a win today, then we'd go into the Tuesday game full of confidence on the back of a win and might catch them cold. As we well know they haven't exactly been playing well recently just grinding out the results whereas we've been playing ok and been getting caught out by poor ref performances, bad pitches and freak FA cup results etc.
-
Exactly. Sharp has to start. It will give the crowd a huge lift and I really haven't been impressed by Lee with what I've seen of him so far (not to say he won't come good but doesn't look ready to step straight in for a crucial game). Also, anyone who has put Reeves in ahead of Cork or Hammond needs there head examining. Too lightweight for Champ football at the moment from what I've seen. He shows some nice touches but never has any real impact on a game (disallowed goal aside).
-
Hopefully this means he's fit enough to start on Sat

Lets get back to winning ways with a good old fashioned thumping of Burnley at home. I'd like to see this team if all available: Davis Richardson Fonte Hooiveld Fox Puncheon Morgan Cork Lallana Lambert Sharp Arguably our strongest team of the season so far, and with it being such a huge game I'm fairly confident we'll do it. Just hope Millwall is out of the systems of those who played!
-
Last time I checked conceeding 3 goals at home to a Millwall reserve team with almost your first choice back four counted as a bad night. We ARE playing badly for a team with serious promotion ambitions, sorry for not conforming to the happy clappy - we'll be ok after ANOTHER home game we've failed to win.
-
So he should be, he needs to pick the boys up and turn it round FAST
-
Puncheon will start not Chaplow
-
We could easily slip out of the top 6 if we don't buck up. The league is a lot tighter now and we don't look like getting a win from anywhere at the moment. I'm genuinely very worried now
-
This is getting worrying - we're playing badly and can't buy a win whilst Brum are going like a freight train. People will say its only the cup but this will damage confidence. For god sake Adkins sort it out and quickly.
-
Which app/browser is best for this?
-
Thought Morgan was great in the first half, as was Lallana but he went missing in the second half. Puncheon was also excellent, great to have him back in the team. Martin and Fonte did a great job defending the hoof ball except from that N'Daw header early on. Shame we can't appeal Fox red, as it was absolutely outrageous. Phil Dowd really is an idiot. If Sharp had taken his chance first time we'd be talking about all 3 points! But let's not blame him for one missed chance eh?
-
Phil Dowd really is a ridiculous ref. A red card for Fox, but a yellow for a cynical foul on Guly when through - beggars belief really. Content with 0-0 though, especially with Cardiff losing. Why didn't Sharp take his chance first time though?!
-
Will be annoyed if Connolly does start over Sharp, he was pants against Leicester and Cardiff and has a tendency to go missing in tough away games.

What a surprise that a brummie thinks they'll turn us over! Has anyone forgotten just how poor they were at SMS? Probably the worst side to come down all season! Their personell hasnt exactly improved since then. If we play well we will win. I think everyone is getting way too carried away about how good brum are. Ok, they've scored a lot of goals recently but if you watch highlights of their Leeds match, they gave so many opportunities to Leeds which were missed. Lambo and sharp won't be so forgiving today I don't think. As you say though, we shall see!
