  1. Bit of a shame it wasn't at least a year so he had next year. Not really sure how invested you'd feel on an 8 game contract where, if we go down, he can say "I didn't have enough time".
  2. Exactly, hard to get excited about the tepid backwards, sideways cr*p we served up in the first half on Saturday. The fans will respond if the players give us something to get behind. When we were putting Stoke under pressure in the second half the fans were good and loud but to expect raucous support for slow, backwards football is a bit much. Palace fans are responding to their team putting in a huge shift, our lads haven't done that for far far too long unfortunately.
  3. IMO it would, I can't see us winning another league game under MP which means relegation. We might get a bump from a new man and that might be enough to steer us clear. With MP we will slowly trickle towards the inevitable. He's a trash manager and there are a lot of managers (even some out of work) who would be an instant upgrade. He might be a nice guy and he might have some decent tactical ideas (as alluded on another thread) but we've played the same way and made the same mistakes all season. He's had more than enough time to show us he can turn it around, he can't so he must go as soon as possible.
  4. Whoever they want probably won't be available to us if we are in the Championship...
  5. Think it does AM a disservice to say he's just been competent. He's been great I think, does the basics right and has made some very good saves for us. Definitely deserves his place and to retain it next year (esp if we go down).
  6. Would be starting JWP over Redmond because a) on the whole, Redmond is pretty crap and b) a JWP corner or free kick is about our best chance of scoring at the moment.
  7. I reckon we will draw 1-1 in a Burnley style game where we play terribly and score a scrappy late equaliser. Just to prolong the agony of this muppet manager.

    Pellegrino OUT

I’m planning to renew my season ticket in any circumstance but if that happened it would be seriously hard to continue going.
  9. He gets stuck in and is a big lump to aim at but doesn’t really look like he will score. Wasn’t what we needed and the sum we paid was absolutely ridiculous. When you look at Brighton and Locadia, who has already scored twice, we have clearly been mugged here. Another top quality signing on Ross Wilson’s watch.

Considering the resources we have, where we were when he took over and the league we are in I can’t see any argument against him being our worst ever manager. He is certainly the worst in my lifetime supporting Saints. Our refusal to sack him is utterly insane but I’m sort of resigned to him staying now and taking us down. It now seems almost wilful inaction by the board. We deserve to go down really. Our smug, arrogant board have let the fans down big time, they should truly be ashamed of themselves.
  11. **** off Pell you useless mug.
  12. He was crap last week, he was crap today.
  13. I wish I could bring myself to say that I won’t attend another game whilst Pellegrino is in charge, the man is a cancer within our club, but unfortunately I can’t as I’ve been every week since I was 10. Reed knows that and is taking advantage, he can **** off. He’s the second worst Premier League manager for a reason - naive to think he would be a good DoF. As long as he’s flogging to Liverpool he’s happy - sad thing is, even if we go down he will fling Lemina and Bertrand to Liverpool. No accountability, just get out you incompetent *****.
  14. We’ve got a non league standard manager. Can’t be any argument now, worst in the history of the club given our squad. Just **** off Pellegrino, **** off Reed, certainly **** of Kruger, oh and Wilson, you’ve been an absolute disgrace since you’ve been here. We deserve far far better than this gang of Incompetents.
  15. Unless this clown is sacked we are down.
  16. Just **** off Pellegrino. You are useless.
  17. I presume you are referring to the two are worse than us according to the league table? Some consolation...
  18. No one forces him to make such ill advised comments at a time when we are absolutely dreadful. It’s hard for fans to sympathise with millionaires who are stressing out about relegation (and I’m not sure I buy that any of our current lot actually care about Saints as they know they’ll get a move if we go down) when the average fan is shelling out a significant proportion of their income to watch a load of lazy, uninspiring performances. If the fans genuinely bought into the fact the players cared then they’d be sympathetic but that second half performance against Liverpool was an embarrassment. The players were hardly putting their bodies on the line for the cause were they? I for one don’t have much sympathy for the “stress” our current squad is under and, as for Pellegrino, it would be better for him to say nothing at all than to say something that will inflame the fan base at a sensitive time. He does, after all, have control over his own mouth.

They would if they knew who to ask. Les nowhere to be seen and can you imagine the kind of BS answer they’d get from Ralph. The fact we’ve had no kind of communication from the club given our current situation and after the utter farce of a window is a complete disgrace. Club taking the fans for fools really.
  20. WBA putting up much more of a fight than our disgrace of a performance on Sunday. We really are the worst team in the league at the moment - on this performance I cannot fathom how we beat WBA.
  21. Must be the only team in the league trying to defend a 2-0 defeat. Awful.

    Daniel Fox

Was one of my favourite players from that Championship year. He was quality at that level and I was relatively confident he’d be fine in the PL. All those saying they knew he was sh*t in the Championship are revisionists that clearly didn’t post on here when we went up. Don’t remember anyone calling for him to be replaced in the summer before the Prem. He wasn’t good enough in the end, so what? Plenty aren’t and he was still very good for us.
  23. Tadic must play on the left if he starts. Agree that Carrillo should and probably will start. Thought JWP was excellent against Brighton so would have him on the right but our attack would be extremely slow.
  24. Was shocked at how deep Carrillo (who I thought looked decent) had to come to get the ball. The others: Gabbi: one paced, bereft of confidence Long: awful, stealing a living as a Premier League striker Boufal: his decision making is pretty terrible, to slow to release possession or shoot after taking it past someone. We just don’t have anyone who breaks from midfield, Davis is much too slow and looks like he’s had it now. Hoj tried but his final ball is not there. Wouldn’t have subbed Tadic at half time, he was far from the worst. Thought JWP was very good, at least he looks up for it.
  25. I said exactly the same in the stands, total madness.
