  1. Can understand that but would have been better to guarantee an upgrade on CP before pulling the trigger so that we weren’t left feeding on scraps and appointing the only half decent (so it looked at the time), unemployed manager on the market. Time invested in Tuchel or not, the way we went about replacing Puel in the summer appears to have been a complete c*ck up.
  2. Zero chance of that, we waited weeks to sack Puel without a replacement.
  3. Similar situation with Bilic and WHU apparently...
  4. Agreed - if and when they appoint Pulis they'll still have a good chance of surviving which removes one of the "dead certs for relegation". We need shot of Pell ASAP.
  5. It certainly is for Palace, Everton and (to a lesser degree) West Ham.
  6. Genuinely can't imagine one of our current team doing that (maybe Austin or Stephens at a push). Bristol City showed last night what hard work and togetherness can produce - unfortunately our "stars" have neither worked hard nor been together in the dressing room for the best part of two seasons now. We remind me of Villa on their decline - had been very good and pushed the top 6/4 to the envy of the rest of the league before a steady decline in quality did for them. We aren't quite at their level yet but well on the way.
  7. If we end up having to sack MP this season I hope it happens sooner rather than later!
  8. Exactly - at best he had potential. Him scoring against us at Carrow Road and then that screamer in the Toulon tournament for the U21s probably convinced Les. The best game he's ever had for us was against Liverpool at Anfield in the semi final - was a real threat when he actually ran at players. Unfortunately, he never really does that anymore and doesn't have the footballing brain or close control/passing to play a more cultured game (in the way that someone like AOC can even given his usefulness as a speed merchant).
  9. Exactly, I feared a narrow defeat before the game and that’s what we’ve done. A loss still equals 0. We need rid of this utter utter clown.
  10. Agreed, has to go but dimwitted Reed will wait until we are bottom to do anything.
  11. Pell has to go. Quite simply we will be relegated under this clueless buffoon.
  12. Typical. Narrow defeat which buys Pell needless kudos. We are going down with this clown.
  13. Doesn’t excuse our incompetent lurch of a keeper. Cost us so many points over the last two seasons. Going down this year, really does look it.
  14. What on earth is that team? Literally just drawing names out of a hat. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out Mauricio.
  15. Precisely. We will probably draw against Hudds just to prolong the suffering with Pell as manager.
  16. I predict a defensive set up, more spirited performance and a narrow 2-1 defeat. People will say we are still improving but we won’t have any points and will slide closer to the drop zone.
  17. They didn’t though did they? Unless I missed the part where Les asked us whether we wanted Pellegrino? This argument is also complete rubbish.
  18. For what exactly? Wanting the team to do better. Posts and threads like this are the thickest of all. Not sure how a fan can be entitled to something they pay a handsome price for. Or have you forgotten that we were statistically the worst value for money in the league last year and have the sixth most expensive season ticket. Moron.
  19. Probably because he got booed on the lap of honour or some trolls put something on Twitter...happens all the time amongst fans of all teams but this “Saints fans aren’t fit for the Prem/don’t know how good they’ve got it” seems to be the “in” thing to say on here. It’s total trash, every fan on here wants Saints to be better. Anyone who says they are delighted for the opposing manager after we’ve received a thrashing can’t credibly call themselves a Saint IMO.
  20. Are you actually a Saints fan?!
  21. The consequences of that would be disastrous. If we lose the next 2 we really are running out of points as our fixtures only get harder. Why not give a new manager a winnable game at home to Hudds to start?
  22. We have improved but we have 2 points from 12 to show for it. Hardly inspiring is it. The latest fall out with Hoedt shows something isn’t working. Has to go now but Les won’t do it until we are really in the poo.
  23. Excellent post. He has to go but we will suffer at the hands of bumbling Les who will wait until we’ve ****ed away even more points (it will probably take an unthinkable defeat at home to Hudds for him to be given the chop).
  24. Totally agree. Everton show you what a half competent manager can do to turn you around.
  25. Same with Hoj. Plays a blinder against City, dropped. Blinder against Arsenal, dropped. Then there’s the supposed fall out with Hoedt. Get the man out. We’ve got issues clearly and you can’t replace a full squad of players mid season. You can replace the manager.
