  1. I'm glad Martin ignored Sunak's side show and focused on his job: managing Southampton football club. I personally can't stand Sunak. He hasn't won a general election to be PM. He has managed to make the country worse since he's been in the job. He's wasted our money like a Man United manager buying attacking midfielders. His policies are about division and treating other humans like shit. And he spends more time on promoting his self image than doing anything useful. Irrespective of that if he wants to come and watch them good for him but I don't want him dragging Saints into his political shit show. And if someone doesn't want to meet him then good for them too.
  2. Fuck-a-doodle-doo. Did not need the last five minutes. A totally dominant 2-1 win. That linesman saved us there. Though at least he was shit for both teams.
  3. 2-0. Sunak making his way down from the stands to go to the technical area and claim the credit.
  4. He hit that pretty sweetly..... with his standing leg
  5. Holy shit. That was never offside. But also, GET IN
  6. FFS. Did the commentator just say Plymouth are the only team not to score from a corner this season?
  7. Going to struggle to break down this ref.
  8. Sub Bree -> Manning, Aribo -> Smallbone, Mara -> Adams
  9. Ref ignored a blatant trip on the edge of their box. Great tracking back from Edozie - that's another thing he's really improved with this season.
  10. Going to be hard to break them down with this line-o
  11. Edozie needs to cut inside. Edwards is defending the outside well but not the other way
  12. How did that not go in
  13. Close from Alcaraz!
  14. Sorry... game of the year. Doh
  15. We haven't won our last game of the season for over 11 years. Correction - game of the year.
  16. I thought we were going to win tonight and keep our run going. Sadly, our shitty prime minister has showed up to show his man of the people credentials so we're fucked. I wonder if Sunak would be open to changing his allegiance to Leicester instead.
  17. The man with the shit-Midas touch is the last thing we need right now.
  18. Yeah. That's probably why Leeds are rated more likely than us as we have Leicester and Leeds away at the end of the season
  19. I missed Mason Holgate on £70K a week too.
  20. Also interesting that our chance of the top two jumped from 8% to 20% in the course of the last week. I'm more interested in the direction of travel of that percentage than the current value. Every week our chance of making the automatic promotion spots seems to be increasing which correlates with what we're seeing - a team that has good form and has growing momentum.
  21. As a winger I don't think I've seen many players with the ability to beat their man that he has. The thing that's been missing for him has been end product. This season he has added end product. If he keeps developing then we're heading into Lavia territory of accepting that we should enjoy him for as long as we can until someone drops a ton of cash on him. Of our other wingers - Sulemana has blistering pace but limited end product. - Fraser is incredibly direct so perfect for the end of games or when we're looking to play fast on the break - Amo-Ameyaw has probably more skill and potential overall but needs a chance to grow into it.
  22. Joe Aribo - £70K Jan Bednarek - £60K Alex McCarthy - £50K Jack Stephens - £45K Will Smallbone - £25K Sekou Mara - £25K Flynn Downes - £25K Kyle Walker-Peters - £20K Gavin Bazunu - £20K If that's true it's insane. Aribo has played ok recently but no way he's worth 70K. No way is KWP worth 20K.
  23. Right now it's hard to say a player we'd drop for a new arrival. There's genuine competition across the pitch apart from GK and FB. I don't see us buying anyone unless we sell someone key or there's an injury. If we can getting better putting games to bed early we can also give more of our kids experience.
  24. This forum according to every match day thread 🤣
  25. Edozie is both the present and future. He started the season brightly and was unlucky to lose his place to Sulemana when he failed to engineer a move away. Fraser should be an impact sub for the season and backup. Sulemana will be off the second he gets a lucrative offer and has created less than either Edozie or Fraser. Exciting though he can be i don't see him sticking around. And, don't forget there's Sam Amo-Ameyaw waiting to come through from the youth team who we should be getting senior team minutes to. I'd love a near future where our front wide players are Edozie and Amo-Ameyaw.
