Petrovic won't be on that high a wage, not sure on Arrizabalaga. A reason they haven't fallen foul of FFP is in part due to having much smaller wages for their players.

Nuno played 4-2-3-1 last week which is a formation we tend to have great performances against (i.e. Leeds), the difficulty will be how far does he push up his defensive and midfield lines, the further up the better for us.
-
I'd imagine that Sheffield played a lot more direct than us which necessitate the need for either Archer or another number 9 to have good holdup play.

From the chit chat on the main thread this one even stumped their sources. I couldn't think of anything that linked to him in the posts, then again I'm not the greatest at these.

JFC, the last thing I had on my "transfer window bingo card" was a bidding war for Sekou Mara, but I'll take it.

Wait a minute, Pierce -> Archer now that makes sense.

Based on what i've heard of Fabian Hurzeler the chances of the football being less exciting are pretty slim, it'll be also nerve-wracking for both fans.

I thought the fact that the K-League was added in an update to the game might be a clue, fictional players though that's a revelation. Maybe its a cryptic warning to be careful of the transfer noise but it can also mean a player who is so good it can't even be real. The game also added the EU Transfer Regulation System and Attribute Masking which is related to the game mechanic known as "Fog of War", not sure if either points to a clue.

No he was there as number 32.

He's scored very little where he has gone, 4 from 18 last season in the Scottish league does not make for great reading.

I have no idea about Sem Steijn, but I'd be surprised if the club didn't have him on the "interested in" list considering that we scouted Sugawara from the same league and with his contract situation. I wouldn't mind us trying to get Petrovic or Kelleher on a loan with an option to buy next summer given their situations. Ings would demand too high a wage. Ward-Prowse might be a possible option if he desires to play rather than sit on the bench.

Someone on the Brighton Forum pointed out that Brighton's position financially thanks to Chelsea has put them in a place where they can spend way more than anyone else right now and Bloom is exploiting the opportunity to the fullest as apparently new PSR rules coming are even stricter than the ones we have currently. It could offer a possible explanation as to why Brighton are upping the ante so much this window. If we build smartly from now even if it means taking one more yo-yo we could find ourselves in a position like that within a few years.

Brighton spending 40 m on Rutter doesn't feel like something Brighton or Tony Bloom would do. It feels way too risky for their standards, if it was 25-30m then that would feel more normal. Edit: Now dropping 40 m on Kadioglu are they just tossing their usual model to the wayside?

I did an oopsy and forgot to send the reply and then deleted it and reposted it, apologies there. I see your point about quality possibly being not attainable with our budget situation, but is he a big enough improvement on our current midfield so much so that it would be worth paying 15m? Is he better than Sem Steijn who scored 17 goals in the Eredivisie last season and may be obtainable for around 10m euros? He's another player we should be taking a serious look at.

I've mentioned this before but Brownhill struggled a lot when the premier league opposition pressed him even though he had Berge alongside him. Jacob Horsfall a Burnley fan did a good analysis on his shortcomings under Vincent Kompany's system. With a 3 man central midfield maybe he might not get as exposed to the press as much but at best he would only be a maybe from me.

I saw that on an earlier post when I was browsing for a resource I dropped around page 160. Have not seen his name come up on twitter or google news, maybe its one of those local newspaper exclusives which means I'd have no chance of coming across it.

Wilson Odobert or Georginio Rutter have to be up there.

Ah fair enough, I think got a little too much into it as a video game enjoyer. Back on topic, I did take a look at how the word "lightning" is pronounced in other languages and what I found was very interesting. One of the translations names a player directly.

If Humpty Dumpty was a player... not even the surgeon could fix him.

Technically what you quoted was an answer to another guy's question unless you are referring to my guess about one of the Arsenal Left Backs being a loan target?

Well if nobody wants to pay 30m or his wages for those gunning for a loan, then he'll probably be forced to take a salary cut in order to get a move if he desires it. I presume that if we still want to get Ramsdale this window then this is what we are banking on.

I think its to do with the player purchase amortisation model, something to do with financial calculations for PSR based off of the initial sale divided by the contract length for each year the contract is valid. For example say Arsenal buys a player for 40 m on a four year contract, the expenses written in the book for that player purchase is 10 m spread across four financial years, Chelsea also buy a player for 40m but on an 8 year contract, they only have to write down 5 m for that player purchase expense essentially cutting their expenses in half in the accounts despite buying a player for the same price that Arsenal bought their player and that's where I assume the point of contention lies in setting their crazy long contracts. Its also the reason why Loaning Aaron Ramsdale would be extremely difficult for us financially just by being on a wage around the 100k a week bracket, because it would be the equivalent of us paying for a 20.8m player on a four year contract and that's not taking into account potential loaning fees.

Based on its Wikipedia page its many different leagues including English ones. It is the precursor to Football Manager as its developed by the same company, they split with publisher Eidos Interactive in 2003 which lead to the creation of Football Manager series which retained the same data storing features of the Championship Manager games they made prior to their split the publisher.

Arsenal were the Champions of the 2001-02 Season so someone who's played for Arsenal before or a bench player wanting 1st team football. Jakub Kiwior on Loan? Umbro means Shadow in Italian and they just signed Calafiori who plays in his position. Could be good mates with Jan Bednarek as they played together in the Euros.
