Tonight was a display of Southampton with too much of the ball equals our demise. We just cannot break teams down. Crossing we are awful at, how many of these crosses either hit the first man, or go out of play. Disgraceful. Then we get to making that final pass, time and time again it leads to nothing when it almost harder for it to. Also we are awful from corners and throw in’s.. just awful, never feel like we can ever get anything from them.

I personally think this is mental attitude they have to games like this and more to do with pressure. Big games against the top six is basically a free hit for a club like Southampton. We are expected to lose. There is also the added fact it then makes the opposing team who’s expected to win play more attacking and less defensive opening up opportunities on the counter. We are awful at breaking teams down.

If nobody turns up, and we get the stadium buzzing like it was around the covid times when we had no fans in the stadium. Maybe just maybe..the pressure will be off and our delicate minded players can play well at home? God I’m so down. But still itching for just something to put a slight smile on my face. Saints is that girlfriend that keeps screwing you over, giving you a tad of hope to change, gets you to come back only to throw it in your face time and time again. Toxic is the word. But goddamn, why do I still love you.

Three mins to go and Lyanco gives it away twice 😂

Redemption, come backs on.. shhhhhh

Stupid to react like that, but how’s that a pen? I’ve seen far worse not given as pen for stuff like that.

In a team where goals are few and far between, where a goal margin difference in most cases is making the difference between points on the table the stats just show that Bazunu is not the one. Especially in a season where you are in a bottom of the table relegation scrap, you cannot afford to take the gamble of a young in-experienced goal keeper in the hope that he becomes established and decent. Of course I am not going to come out and say he is the reason this year for why we are where we are, because the whole squad has been dreadful. But it is highly apparent that these areas are highlighted because of the thin margins and because other areas of the field especially in attack are putting high pressure on the defence by lacking so much. I keep hearing from commentators that Bazunu has great distribution, talk of him as a great young goalkeeper and how he’s been one of our shining players this season- is this all because he’s a Man City graduate? Is it this that’s blinding the quite evident problem that fans that watch Saints week in week out see? What is then truly apparent is just how awful are goalkeeping situation really is. Who do we trust in that position going forward?

All aboard the Selles good vibes, let it resonate throughout the club and fan base.

Great post, could not have written that any better. Completely correct, something just feels right. That speaks louder than anything, and echoes around instilling confidence, belief and an all-good aura. If there is one thing we know, football needs bouts of that to work.

According to leaks and already known line up information Reece James, Cucurella and Thiago Silva won’t be in the line up today. Shame about Cucurella though.. he’s been shit.

Going just by press-conferences Selles holds himself up very well. Comparing to Jones, it’s night & day.. Selles goes into details, talks about opposition threats, shows passion for the situation he’s current in- builds the players and fan base up with confidence. All the things you want to hear from a manager going forward into the next game. Obviously that’s all great stuff, it’s the results on the pitch that matter, so let’s see if that can do more of the talking. But so far, so good.

Well that has certainly thrown a spanner in the works. Must admit I did not expect this news and thought it was a done deal. Finding it hard to see any likely quick in the door, fit the mould candidates. With Marsch’s Red Bull coaching and team setup fitting the bill of our current squad selection that’s been built for the past few years, it seemed a great match up. Obviously he always had question marks, especially in regards to how his teams got hit on the counter attack from his high press style, but with our faster CB’s namely ABK & Salisu, it seemed we were better fit for that style than that of Leeds. Looking likely now that it will just be Selles to the end of the season. Another great gamble that could be costly. We wait to see.

I’m getting a feeling some of you don’t want to Marsch On™
-
Can see the media team banner already WE MARSCH ON
-
I like Marsch, can definitely get behind this all the way. Seems like a perfect fit looking at his history, I have a very good feeling about this one.

Guess you could say it’s a bit harsh Saints sacking him on God’s day…

Loving the idea, setting a trap to find the weasel Saints fans and ban them from Saints Web for life.

Now he’s gone, time to turn our attention back to blaming Djenepo and Diallo 😏😤

The Croatians have finally been liberated from the Welsh Dragons lair

What great news to wake up to on a Sunday Morning. Makes that defeat yesterday feel a heck of a lot better, was for the greater good! Now we can enjoy relegation in the some moderate peace 😂

Hahahahaha I predicted he would say exactly that about the ten men situation. Something to the degree of it would be to our detriment and that isn’t the way we trained our tactics for the match. Man’s a clown, every excuse under the sun. Instead of coming up with excuses, why don’t you actually manage a football squad. Better that, fuck the hell off and don’t come anywhere near Saint Mary’s ever again.

This was the worst bit for me. Talk about cop out and not being able to explain a single thing in that press conference with any detail and confidence. You have to think of managers of a football club as football experts, you wouldn’t expect a Scientist or any one in the top of their field giving out answers like these.

For sure, cannot argue with that piece of business. It was a bargain gap fill, and provides great cover with Livramento out for the rest of the season as you have said. With a fully fit KWP and Perraud, it has to be a given those two are played in their natural positions over him though.
