Worth noting, if not already, that relegated West Ham are demanding a reported £80 million for Mateus Fernandes.. and we just happen to have a 15% sell on fee, might come in handy….
-
Exactly, it is all about bending the rules in your favour and, the big one, getting away with it. You are only a loser and cheat when you get caught. Those that don’t try, well.. then they are just losers because the rest are cheating! Whether that’s on the pitch or in the books.. it all goes on! None in my eyes is worse than the other. Until everyone else starts playing fairly, why the fuck should we?
-
Couldn’t agree more. There isn’t any integrity in the sport, anyone that says that I’m afraid is a loser this day and age. Long has gone those days, this is the sport. We either ride with it or get left behind. If the players are happy to stick around with Tonda at the helm, I’m all for it. Siege mentality. Fuck the rest. We wouldn’t have even been in this position if Tonda did not work a miracle to get us to the play offs to begin with. I am all in. Being the nice club gets us no where.

As Charles put it, cross-shot 😉

THATS A FUCKING PEN, defender has swung his leg

Because it is pronounced Matski

Time to start the rumour that Steve Gibson paid our intern to “spy” on them so that he could cause this whole ruse as a free entry to the Prem. This will then come out, and he’ll be charged! P.s Boro fans watching, this is called a joke.

I’m sorry but anyone that is calling for Mccarthy, after Peretz slipped, needs to check themselves. He has been a solid wall and even made vital saves in that match. He has been a difference maker to our season turn around and I wouldn’t want anyone else in goal. This take is literally the definition of bed wetting and utterly ridiculous. He slipped that is all.

Agreed, my usual is down

That one made me quite emotional. We played as a team with passion and a plan. The whole day felt special leading up to this, being the anniversary, the turn around of this team, Easter spirits and a sense of belief after this sensational run we’ve gone on. Beating the best team in England. You could hear the pride in everyone of those fans voices. Stadium was rocking. So proud.

We battled. HARD! What a result - one where you could see every player putting a shift in, from the starting XI right through to the subs. Defence was outstanding today, especially THB. Honourable mention to Wood as well - very strong and composed all game. For all the great defending, it did feel like we might end up losing it because we weren’t quite cut-throat enough up top, despite some brilliant counter-attacking football. But we dug in, kept pushing, and got the reward in the end. Smashed in by Stewart - a bit of poetry really, scoring where his injury crisis began. Hopefully that strike finally lays it to rest. Feels like we’re loving our Saints again. Long may it continue!

Imagine your captain is the one player that lets you down time after time. Jack Stephen’s needs to be out of that team, he is terrible from top to bottom. We also look terrible attacking wise and general optimism of play. No one looks to be enjoying their game.

Further reading the ticket it says “Southampton supporters only” so rules that out! Panic over.
-
Yeah that’s what I was thinking, ticket says nothing of the sort on it about that. Was just reading online about what club Wembley includes and then read some scare stories online about people being turned away in football shirts and it made me think to check.
-
I notice these tickets are club Wembley, does anyone know if that means we can’t wear replica club shirts etc?
-
Going to have to go collect my tickets from the ticket office at St. Mary’s, anyone know what the parking situation is on a non match day? Can I rock up at the stadium and park?

Liverpool 3-0 Saints - Match Thread
SaintJakko replied to Stripey McStripe Shirt's topic in The Saints
Not wrong though. It’s what scares me the most about this current style of playing if we do manage to go up. You can get away with it in championship when you have higher quality players compared to the rest. It soon gets found out when you are pressed by clinical high intensity players. -
Let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Two silly mistakes have cost us. Bazunu should have punched the ball, but it’s ended up in the net. Bednarek should know better with flaying his hands at on coming ball. We have been better all over the pitch, a number of those players you have singled out is not fair. Milwall fair play to them have come with a clear game plan off winning those odd second balls with physicality and causing some mayhem as they know technically they are not the better side here. Here is hoping for a solid defensive display and a little more decisiveness/clinical finishing in the second. Get that next goal and we are back in.

We’ve played as bad as all the streams I have had today. stream broke just before half time, anyone have a working stable one? Pretty please!!
-
https://poscitechs.com/norwich-city-vs-southampton/ It is crap, just blacks out every second or so 😂
-
Did the same for me. Found another one, but it’s so laggy it’s not even worth watching.. think that’s what this seasons going to be like
-
It’s the same spineless displays against any one outside the top five all season. You could copy and paste those displays, same crap every time. Left to right, attempt to float in the box to nobody or hits first man. Don’t challenge the goal at all. Kick around with no idea, holding onto the ball like we are 3-0 up. Doesn’t matter what manager we have, this gutless none intent play is ingrained in the clubs current DNA. It looks to anyone like this is a managerial decision, because we do it time and time again and it looks like it’s on purpose. Because how can professionals play this bad? But I don’t believe it is. They are just pussies. They are afraid, and they lack the confidence. GUTLESS, MENTALLY WEAK LOSERS.
-
It’s not good when you love your club but despise the team. Out of everyone, the only player in the squad I like is KWP. Lavia too obviously, but no way he’s sticking around. The rest are shit, quicker the dross is gone the better. It is self torture watching Saints at the moment. I hate it. We are pathetic and it’s infuriating, especially when we have just gone from giving the league leaders a run for the money to that. What even is that, which we just witnessed? Gutless, spineless and quite frankly pathetic. Fair play to Bournemouth, showing passion for the badge and the game and how to handle getting out of the bottom. Fuck this squad of players.
-
Like what has already been stated here. Tonight was a display of why we are where we are. Good possession football with no real intent or threat. Completely tepid. Like a real boring handjob, it’s nice and that.. but it’s not really going to lead to anything is it? You need individuals that are switched on, wanting to make those toward passes that catch the opposition off guard, bust a gut, show real intent. Even just having the balls and talent to have a go. Our players just do not have that quality. You look at our squad and you just cannot see where the goals come from. Yes sometimes we will pinch a goal or two and fight out for that 1-0 win. It’s rare, usually well deserved. But you need goals and threat to consistently do this. We just do not have this. Selles has improved us, the rest from what I can see is a player issue.
