Signing Peretz on a permanent deal after everything that's happened may be the least Sants-y thing I've seen us do in decades.
-
I don't mind Adam on the whole. I think he's quite a decent commentator and usually a fairly balanced head on most things Saints. I do think he was quite quick to cast judgement re: Spygate but I think quite a few have been guilty of that (Myself included initially). His most recent tweets in response to the messages from Dragan and Tonda were quite warm and I suspect he's cooled down on the situation with a little more time having passed. All this to say that when I look at the absolute weapons that the North East have for editors and journos, I actually think we might be quite lucky to have him 😂 Completely agree with the comment above on the inside references during commentary. I get not every game is going to be interesting from first kick to last but c'mon now, people are listening for the football not what you Jo had to lunch on the way to the ground.
-
Seen so many ask 'How can the fans support him?' Did every man and his dog cry about Leeds fans being firmly behind Bielsa after Spygate 1.0? Did they fuck. It's pretty simple, he's a good coach and we've been punished for his transgressions. We march on. I just hope the FA don't get too over zealous.

A case of better the German you know I think. As for other clubs having the jump. We are going to be losing players that's for sure, but very little work will be done this side of the World Cup for the majority of clubs. Most signings come late in the window and we will have a firm idea of what's happening by then. This is one occasion where I think being pragmatic and seeing what comes is the best play.
-
The further we get from what happened the more I'm coming round to the idea he might stay. The sticking point for me is whether he has the players backing. If he has, and he is able to make a statement, hold his hands up and draw a line under eveything, it might just give us the seige mentallity we need to take into next season. Pressuring an Intern is the only part of what happened that I find completely indefensible and he should be sanctioned for it. If he does get banned it's out of our hands anyway. One thing is for sure the club need to say something... anything.

Feels like there are a lot of people clutching at straws to justify Tonda staying on because of the success we had with him. Maybe I'm misreading that.
-
There's a difference between standing up the club and standing up for the cheating fucks who put us in this position. That's where I stand.
-
There's no world where he hasn't completely lost the dressing room. There will be multiple players who had contract clauses and bonuses missed. The opportunity to play in the Premier League gone.
-
Problem with Dyche is it's fine when you're grinding out results but the minute the points dry up your just left with dull as dishwater football and very little patience. Been the same story as every club for him.
-
If the shoe was on the other foot and we thought or knew Boro were spying, you can be sure we'd have taken the same course of action they did. It's on us. We cheated we paid the price. Now get the fucks out who signed off on it and let's rebuild... again.
-
We've admitted to spying 3 times. You can be sure it happened many more than that.
-
Of course but anyone can be suspended, we're not even trying to look good 😂
-
So many stories circulating about Eckert in the press and he's still currently employed and first team manager, another wonderful PR job from Saints. At least suspend the man pending FA investigation if you want to wait for that so you don't have to pay him out.
-
This will pass and the club will move forward. If this is on Tonda (which at this point seems to be the case) I wouldn’t feel too much guilt about supporting the club. We need to show some balls and move quickly though or it’s gonna be a rough summer.
-
Need to up the CoT’s budget for espionage and travel.
-
That’s also somewhat mitigated by the appeal being upheld by a separate committee who clearly agreed with the first. There were checks and balances in place, if we didn’t get anywhere with the appeal we certainly wouldn’t have more luck going back for a third time.
-
Even if that were the case it doesn’t change anything. The narrative would just be that they had suspicions and laid a trap to catch us red handed. We’re still the guilty party. I'm not sure if people are trying to just balance the wrong doing in their own minds to feel better or what. Tonda fucked it. We pay the price. Get the man gone, can’t believe we’ve not sacked him yet.
-
What are we doing here? Tonda pressured interns to systemically spy on our opposition. Say what you want about the spying or the tactical advantage gained. The fact is we cheated multiple times and Tonda has probably played a big part in ruining the career of a young man. Those are the facts, the punishment is the punishment. We've appealed and lost. We can’t go to the court of arbitration in sport so the matter is done. Tonda and anyone involved needs to go, we can’t rebuild our reputation with them in post. anything else is just copium.
-
Was going to be 6 points but was reduced to 4 on mitigation of accepting the charges. So it did benefit us to admit to them. We were never getting away with it.
-
Maybe I'm being naive but I'm not sure that Tonda would throw his own reputation and career away to protect Spors.
-
Interesting that Spors was not named. If the FA don't turn up anything regarding his involvement I'd be happy for him to stay given his relative success with signings. (Will Still asside)
-
Would never work, the minute performances even remotely slipped everyone would be calling for his head.
-
I'd throw a bag at Ange. Didn't light the world on fire at Spurs (Who has) but did win a trophy. Blip at Forrest but otherwise tested and proven. Think he would bring the right level of stability and communication that we need. Not as boring as watching Dyche ball.
-
Tonda spent 2 years at Barnsley, I don't buy that he 'wasn't aware of the rule'. Regardless, the players aren't going to wan to play for him are they.
-
My dyslexic brain read you don't get to keep your wingers, which in the case of Scienza is probably true 😂
