Unless there is a lot of incoming quality signings, that won’t be a problem.
-
Wouldn’t be surprised to see Wrexham come in for him but not featuring in next week’s game.
-
Oh come on, that’s the objectively weakest Saints line up since 2008/09 or very early 09/10 before the Lambert and other signings came in, and it’s a lot weaker than the 10/11 and 11/12 promotion sides.
-
Ten men behind the ball and keep it under 0-5 with their line-up and the bottom half Championship line up Saints have put out.
-
Fine as in finishing 16th, probably. If you think that’s finishing top half, I’ve got some bridges to sell you.
-
Heard from Duncan at the Fitzhugh the other day that Micky Channon might be unsettled at City. Worth Lawrie making a cheeky bid to bring him back home?

Wasn’t doing a confused face at you but their decision. MAGA is against elites and for the little guy - yeah, right.
-
He doesn’t see it as any different to slicing the ball into the rough off the tee and chucking the ball back in the fairway on one of his/the bank’s golf courses.

Newcastle are having the Isak issues and bringing in, Everton is well documented and pushing Dibling’s price up. Sunderland have signed lots but needed to, they are at decent PL values unlike SR’s July Lidl bargain aisle dash, but still won’t be enough having lost Bellingham. Transfer window system is as broken as PSR and crazy that what are essentially FTC employees are as complex to hire as buying a house.
-
Because he produced a decent 45 minutes in a pre-season friendly so according to some of our fanbase two years of being by far the worst keeper in his division and a wretched spell on loan in the Belgian top flight earlier this calendar year doesn’t count. I look forward to selling them some bridges as well.

You’re certainly living up to your name 😉 Agree with that bar THB, with his injury and relatively long contract, as much SR would love to sell another asset, he won’t attract enough profit at the moment for them as the buying clubs will want to see him fit. Will be sold next summer I’m sure which SR will be licking their lips about.
-
Makes it even more likely then if it’s a more conventional RB as Suga is woefully defensively and better going forwards.
-
Imagine some of the squad working at Argos and the customer service: - Smallbone would be on the till as too weak to carry any items from the storeroom - Gavin would drop lots of items and break them - Rubbish would pile up where AA and BBD kept missing the bin - Jack (team leader) would call any complaining customers a cunt and pull their hair. Maybe that’s the plan this season at SMS and why he got a new contract?
-
I wouldn’t be surprised to see Still bring a RWB in that he knows to add to the 3-4 other automatic starters we need, if SR allow him.
-
We won’t be finishing top 6 unless there’s significant strengthening and 2-3, maybe 4 automatic starters come in at GK, AMC and wide areas. I didn’t say CB on the assumption THB stays. MLG will bang on about AA and BBD’s scoring records but they were woeful on loan last season at this level and confidence can’t be good. Not had great pre-seasons either.
-
Certainly scoring plenty in one sense.,.
-
Changed it for you. I’ll admit Smallbone can be only if he’s part of a central three and Charles/Downes do his tracking back and physical work. Unfortunately the Stephens extension doesn’t offer any confidence that the club knows what a very good Championship player with a higher ceiling looks like.
-
Not to mention wages - West Ham won’t be contributing £90k pw to those.
-
The departures don’t bother me as much anymore, although the Ramsdale one is a practical concern until a #1 is recruited. But the lack of incomings sends a troubled signal. Pretty sure Charles had signed by now and as others have pointed out, Livramento, Lavia, Tella and JWP left quite late.
-
There needs to be a market for them for a start and the wages poor players are earning at SFC prices them out of the clubs that are really at their level and ability.
-
Didn’t hurt Ipswich, won’t hurt Brum this season if you have an owner who wants to have a proper go. Also, I’ve a feeling we will see the likes of Brentford coming down and being more like Luton. Leeds will stay up I reckon - just.
-
Season starts next Saturday and the fixtures are harder at the start. We got some early points in August against weaker teams last time and then a horror September which meant we were always chasing. Possible we do the play offs but a big ask to go all the way. We don’t agree about squad strength - Downs has a lot riding on his young shoulders, hopefully the Espanyol cameo is a portent of what’s to come. KWP was a big attacking as well as defending factor last time. If THB was fit I’d be more comfortable but the defence lacks experience and goalkeeper doubtful. Downes injury hopefully is short-term. If Still can wring a couple of wins out of what is there in August and a draw, that keeps in the top two picture if there’s some quality starter incomings and a #1 keeper, Ryan will do nicely, for this level.
-
Hope you’re right and the Jan 2023 splurge should’ve come off of the PSR calculations by now but who knows. Any activity is probably a bit too late for this season now but get rid of Brum and Ipswich, and 26/27 might be able to have more of a go at the autos.

He’s one of their own after all.
