  1. 👋 Jordan, on your pingpong account tonight?
  2. When did they start making the level of effort Ipswich’s players have this season?
  3. Those empty seats can really dish out some abuse.
  4. Do they have TNT in Glasgow?
  5. I think so.
  6. In a way I hope the club sack him tomorrow just so he can embarrass himself on national TV further than he has done all season and the rest of the industry can see him for what he is. 5 years time he will working in league 2.
  7. Judging by the screenshot Matteo just posted, they are. And SR’s leadership are at the gate today aren’t they? Empty stadium by half-time bar the away fans.
  8. Game and season are gone, let’s give ourselves some consolation by taking the piss out of the burning embers of Russell Martin’s management career. Rasmus is the one I despise, Martin is the organ grinder playing all of the wrong notes.
  9. The Lego is very brittle and breaks. It can only be built sideways, not up or down. Unless it goes back to the plastic keeper.
  10. The club are making a horror movie tonight especially for the opening of the cinema.
  11. He will send Matt Gill out to do it, or Lallana. Martin will be gone.
  12. Three months after it should’ve been but better late than never.
  13. If you don’t build up in the way he likes, the Staplewood patio awaits.
  14. He’s hoping to do so in a couple of weeks time.
  15. Cromwell Street is situated between the old docks and the railway station. With the building of Gloucester Quays, which is a bit like Gunwharf, the area is quite different to the early 90s when Fred and Rose’s gruesome activities were uncovered. The actual house in Cromwell St was made unstable by all of the excavations and was demolished in the mid-90s, now being a pathway. The bricks and mortar were ground to dust at RAF Quedgeley to ensure that no Berlin Wall-type ‘souvenirs’ popped up. Fred himself was not actually from Gloucestershire nor Gloucester itself originally, but over the border in Herefordshire, a pretty little village called Much Marcle (not to be confused with Meghan…). It’s a few miles from Ross on Wye, another pretty place although not especially great for shops or services. Rose was originally from North Devon. They also lived on Midland Rd in Barton & Tredworth before Cromwell St, tragically also committing a murder of West’s daughter there as well as the Herefordshire and Cromwell St ones. Allegedly in Bishops Cleeve on the outskirts of Cheltenham as well. A cafe just up from Gloucester Quays called the Clean Plate now and the Pop In cafe in the late 1960s was excavated after the ITV programme in 2021 where West had reportedly carried our building work but nothing found https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-gloucestershire-57182029
  16. 4-0 and it’s an own goal. Derby start resting players. Skates have conceded 24 goals away, worst in that division. Rasmus and Kraft are probably thinking ‘let’s offer Mousinho the job as assistant to Russell’.
  17. Did you buy any party poppers afterwards that went pop in the night?
  18. The first one came straight after Guy Whittingham commented on the BBC thread ‘Pompey need to get the Derby fans on their players’ backs’. Delicious irony. Seen the goals on Sky, they’re as bad as we’ve been conceding.
  19. Remember Football Special that Sutton is a leading ex-Norwich figure just like Martin is. Backing each other up and probably know each other. If Nathan Jones had been playing that style he wouldn’t said that. Not a million miles from say one of the Redknapps supporting Lampard at Coventry after a wretched spell with their fans calling for his head.
  20. His back room staff can’t be on equivalent sums to him. He’s about where you’d expect for a promoted club https://www.footballfancast.com/premier-league-managers-salaries-how-much-are-they-paid/ If £8m was true, Potter would be very steep. I’d imagine that’s for his whole group, or he ain’t interested at all.
  21. Take out the ‘with Martin in charge’ I’d agree with you. With the way he’s chucked this season away and the fact his tactics were hit and miss last time the atmosphere around the club and in the squad would be as toxic as one of the original reactors at Calder Hall (now Sellafield).
  22. Yep, made more unforced errors before Xmas in PL history. The previous worst was Brentford and that was over a whole season https://www.football365.com/news/southampton-deluded-arrogance-relegation-opinion https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5950137/2024/11/27/southampton-russell-martin-errors-goals-conceded/ That is in large part of the high risk, low reward style of play Martin enforces. We’ve got the 4th worst attacking XG for fans who are into that data, but it does tell me the possession is for absolutely no purpose other than his ego. With a better manager - not a high bar - even Branfoot or Jones would be an improvement tbh - I think we’d be on 10-12 points. Still in a huge battle but with a fighting chance. With this 🤡 SR have chucked this season and last season away. It’s the definition of insanity.
  23. 95% of fans are disgusted by the shocking ‘football’ we are playing with a squad completely unsuited to doing so. There’s always a few oddballs that will applaud whatever is served up - a few supported Branfoot and there’s still a few weirdos supporting Martin and his ponderous, losing, one dimensional tat. I don’t think the division is the priority - I’ve watched us at Carlisle in League One, Brentford at the old Griffin Park in midweek - all over the country but all I ask for the cost and travel is for the manager and players to do their best to get results. That isn’t happening, the ‘philosophy’ is over-riding the clubs wellbeing and that’s not right. Martin is not more important than Southampton Football Club.
  24. Perfectly possible, he liked him although Branfoot’s Reading teams played very much long ball football and was as fixed on his way of playing as Russell Martin is on his. Mind you, the style didn’t put Lawrie off working for Graham Taylor in the England set-up.
  25. What it says in his book is that he was initially brought in as an unpaid director to move Branfoot on by Guy Askham. He knew both men well from the 1970s and 80s, but says Branfoot fell out with him afterwards and blamed him even thought Askham had wanted rid of Ian for a while. He later fell out with Askham over the ‘reverse takeover’ by Secure Retirement.
