  1. Surely once a system breaks down and ceases to get results it has to be tweaked. If your manager cannot/ will not do this then he ceases to be of value as a manager. It's all very well being evangelical about a certain way of playing but results count not the amount of times your team makes a successful sideways 5 yard pass.
  2. ....how many from a keeper who has a blind spot on his left?
  3. Alright, I'll say it...just hope we don't end up hanging on to Pompey's coattails...
  4. Just seen the goals conceded, 2/3 GB's left again. i'm convinced he has a problem on that side.
  5. Whether or not you have played football in your lives It does not detract from the fact that Bazunu is not a good goalkeeper at the moment and has cost as points at crucial times. Even someone as evangelical as you in his defence can not credibly argue that one.
  6. They're sure as hell going to have to watch him from set pieces.
  7. Moore is ominously good in the air but he does seem to fall over a lot...
  8. Bednarek subbed after 78 v Wales . Doesn't look like an injury so potentially good news for us for Friday The way the game is going I was a bit worried he might be playing 120 minutes.
  9. It's a bit concerning that we've now got a couple of weeks with nothing to moan about.
  10. I'm not sure what Rothwell brings to the party in a total football sense but boy he can certainly leather a ball straight and true.
  11. I'd call that a typical Saints game. Alton Towers has got no bigger rollercoaster than being a Saints fan. At two all I really thought there was only one team going to win it and it wasn't Saints but they found something. Imo just when you think referees couldn't get any worse they do, I thought he was shite today. And perhaps someone can clear up what was the discussion about after the penalty?
  12. Could you rephrase this please so it is understandable to a person of average intelligence.
  13. I think maybe top two has gone now , so maybe that is a bit of pressure off. What would be good now is to relax, play with freedom and expression, and consolidate the play-off place but hone our game so we smash it in those play-offs.
  14. As others have said, a Hail Mary win, but a very welcome and essential win nevertheless. One thing I found slightly bemusing was a line from the manager’s post match comments (set against the background of the number of goals we are conceding lately): "To play the, way we play you have to be a bit vulnerable sometimes with the ball. It's a bit scary. But I've loved watching it. And that spirit will help us for sure in the last quarter of the season." To admit that your brand of football leaves you vulnerable and scares even the manager seems a bit odd to me. I would hope that when we concede because of the way we play he doesn’t love it quite as much. Surely most managers would have a plan B? I hope I’m not moaning just because I can, I just found his comment rather odd. We can’t always be scoring four when we have conceded three.
  15. The two are inextricably linked.
  16. Yep, playing in strikers who can actually score goals….and by that I mean not playing in opposition strikers by fannying around at the back or in midfield. You’re welcome…
  17. Why is it nonsense? The point he made is equally as valid as yours. Don't forget you are submitting opinions not facts, so others are allowed to have conflicting but equally valid opinions to yours.
  18. WTF is Charles staying on? He has been awful.
  19. Once again... oh for a striker to put the chances away.
  20. Nah, all he'll do is contribute even more hot air to global warming, same as all these exponentially increasing number of prunedits do.
  21. Interesting that Leicester have signalled where their priorities are this season. Nine changes for the cup game
  22. Let's get it out of the way, lose, and then move onto the real business of the season. It can't be a coincidence that form has dropped so badly since this game was on the horizon, they have to have had half an eye on it. Lose, move on, start winning again.
  23. We're not playing lovely stuff now. Today as with Tuesday was clueless.
  24. What really annoyed me was that Millwall weren't good, they weren't clever, basically they were just there. And we still couldn't beat them.
