Replace the word smarter with “delusional, arrogant cunts” and I think you’re onto something there
-
They need to leave our club asap before they do irreparable damage.
-
Spot on and I’ve been saying for years that this has been a huge problem particularly under the geniuses who signed us Larios, Edozie, et all. They just don’t get it. They never will. Didn’t our new recruitment guru make a point of identifying pace and power as what we needed in abundance to succeed this season? What happened to that? He’s failed miserably on that front. Should be fired for the Downs signing alone, which is one of the worst in football history for the money we paid at the level we are playing at.
-
Unfortunately there’s no chance they’ll admit Still was the wrong man at the wrong time for the job - I fully expect them to wait until the season is well and truly killed off for us as far as promotion goes, until they make a change. They’ll cling onto every possible olive branch and extended timescale in the hope that their appointment becomes vindicated. That’s the sort of owners we are dealing with. Sickening that we’ve got such ineptitude running our club. It’s making me unhealthily angry when you think of all the incompetent shit they’ve done

Dont bother with MLG, he always remains conveniently silent when the club deserves some criticism, and all of his salivating over players and scouts/staff members is proven to misguided. Also if you do genuinely back him into a corner with some of his clueless dross, he will pull out the “strawman fallicy” line, which I think he must’ve learned its definition about 6 months ago, as it’s been a useful go-to soundbite of his ever since on here.

Any chance of Sport Republic being offloaded on a free transfer in January? I’m starting to despise them as much as I did Lowe at the end of his tenure, in fact I think I’m there already.

Pathetic , weak, spineless , error ridden , slow tempo performance yet again, full of elementary errors, missing chances, giving the ball away in critical areas. And then as expected, zero response or fight once we went behind. As a club we are so unprofessional it’s untrue and that starts from the top. I’ve said it for over a year now, until these owners leave we are absolutely screwed, we will be in league one soon , you can absolutely guarantee that, if this lot stay in charge another couple of seasons. you won’t find more clueless owners anywhere in Europe.

I fully expect us to lose this aswell, a team could be bang out of form and still benefit from us gifting them a few goals, we will probably focus on tightening up whilst forgetting we also need to show some threat at the other end, and lose 1-0. One thing I’ll guarantee- we won’t win .

Damion Downs - Official: Loaned to Hamburg

Let’s not forget he was Spors main man, the number one striker target for this season, he said as much when Downs signed. He didn’t want anyone else, just this guy. Straggering incompetence, and enough is enough for me now with the whole sport republic circus. Surely time to start making Matchdays uncomfortable for them and get a message across that we refuse to be continually fucked in the arse by these utter cunts. -
Yep, there are several examples of players similar to Tolaj that we could’ve signed who would have done a job for us at this level for less than the criminal amount we’ve spent on a striker so bad it beggars belief , but unfortunately we have one of the most clueless ownership groups in British football history, so that didn’t happen.

What exactly has he done at a decent level? Hes scored 10 goals in the German second tier (which is a lower level than the league he’s currently playing in) in his career, and has only played 39 matches in the top 2 leagues in Germany in total. 12 goals in 39 games in total, and looks totally at sea here. It begs the question, if he’s having personal issues in settling, then the club clearly didn’t do their due diligence when factoring all this in whereby this signing was just a massive massive gamble compared to signing a British striker who was tried and tested at this level, of which there were dozens who’d have been available. Mind boggling -
I expect West Ham will get out of it eventually but wolves are nailed on to go down this season just like we did in 2022/23 when a combination of us being poor coupled with the newly promoted sides doing well, sealed our fate. Same will happen to wolves this season. I’d imagine Leeds will just about have enough to stay up and Sunderland would now have to have an absolute shocker to go down. My 3 to go currently, would be Wolves, Burnley, and Forest, with West Ham and Brentford also right down there but staying up

I really haven’t, it’s a simple question for you to answer. Particularly the stadium one. The hilarious thing is, the majority of your questioning of others are based on straw man fallacies. So you’re being ridiculously hypocritical. You constantly mispresent someone’s argument to make it easier to attack, I even picked you up on it further up on this thread earlier this morning and you conveniently ignored it. And then think you’re being oh so clever by refusing to answer my very simple questions relating to your constant defence of our owners, by labelling them strawman fallacies, which is precisely what you do to others. Absolutely hilarious.
-
“Straw man fallacies” - meaning you don’t want to actually answer them then? Criticises others for not answering supposed questions then just brushes mine away and labels them “strawman fallacies” when he can’t answer them. What an odious little creep you are

1. You didn’t ask me a question 2.Ive yet to actually see you criticise them, could you point me in the direction of you criticising them please? If you have indeed criticised them, it has a ratio probably in the region of 1/100 against you defending them, which any logically minded person would deduce from that means you’re actually a big fan of them based on your constant defence of them? Would this be fairly accurate? 3. This was the only reason I can think of to think why you’d be seemingly Happy to defend an ownership group that has overseen the worst run of results in the clubs history whilst making mistake after mistake in recruiting players and managers. As I said, any supporter who actually cares about the club, would be very concerned right now about the direction the club is heading in. You appear not to be, which is “utterly bizarre” too. Why is this please? Can you explain why you’re seemingly not concerned? I suspect you’ll reply with “where have I said I’m not concerned?” When it’s fucking obvious from the tone of your questioning that you’re not concerned by the way you’re defending them time after time. So explain why you think the clubs ownership is more positive than negative right now please? 4. so when’s the stadium expansion likely to happen then? Any timescales yet? Your first post about this was probably over a decade ago now
-
There is no way you’re not on the clubs payroll or at the very least benefitting some way from the club as a result of your input here (probably the FM researcher gig), the way you tirelessly and endlessly dispute any criticism of them with patronising questioning based on tiny tiny irrelevant questions that deflect away from the fact that these are dreadful owners and any fan with their club at heart would not be happy at how the club is being run, which is blatantly obvious by the fact we’ve had the worst results out of all 92 football league clubs over the past 12-18 months. Yet here we are still having to stomach smart arses like you relentlessly defending the indefensible. All to keep the gig of being the official saints FM researcher? Dont worry, I’m sure the club will be happy at your input here so will renew your contract for another year. Meanwhile the rest of the forum users have to sit here and stomach your endless bollocks. Shame you can’t fuck off for another year , golden saints web era that. Any news on that stadium expansion?
-
Yeah but ignore all that, because apparently their heart is in the right place. Couldn’t make it up with some of these plebs
-
Why are you randomly asking him a question which has no relevance to what he said? You’re inventing questions up to throw at people when they’ve not even originally countered what you’re asking. Weird
-
West Ham spend a fortune most seasons and absolutely hate their owners. I wonder if they’ve got fans telling their fellow supporters that their heart is in the right place
-
I didn’t say it changes what MLG said, it was his apparent stance, based on the fact he regularly sticks up for them and defends them against criticism, coupled with his “it could be a lot worse” comment, that he is fairly comfortable with them being our owners. The meek acceptance by our fans despite how terrible results have been on the pitch, is sad to see to be honest.
-
Not many other clubs have won just 4 of their last 48 league games, so purely on the football results side of things, both during these last 48 games and over their entire tenure, it couldn’t have gone much worse really though could it? They’ve taken a relatively secure premier league side of 10 years and turned them into a currently lower mid table championship team via a combination of dreadful player and managerial appointments , but it could be worse because their heart is in the right place? Christ the bar is low among some fans isn’t it
-
We always seem to get turned over here and I just can’t see us getting a result the way things are going. 2-1 defeat

Why even stick him on the bench today if he wasn’t going to come on in a match where we needed a goal and height up front so the obvious change, if we had a decent sub striker, would’ve been to bring him on. Absolutely embarrassing circumstance we find ourselves in with this situation, whereby we have a striker so bad , he’s un-selectable even when there’s a glaring lack of the attributes he was signed to provide. Ridiculous -
Care to give your opinion on them then? Or are you going to just endlessly question anything anyone else posts whilst seemingly sitting on the fence when asked for your own views? Fucking tedious
