  1. Since the day I got pizza sauce over my yellow FA cup 30th anniversary shirt, I have longed for another sponsorless shirt! I curse that little red stain, I was going to frame it... stupid stupid stupid! I will not make the same mistake, one shirt to be framed immediately, one for matchdays and one for the future! Who needs sponsorship money when there's muppets about like me! Thankyou ML and NC and all the St.Marys staff on a great decision. I love being a Saint!
  2. Ah yes, fuming im sure Peter! I will once again quote the famous statement from Storrieteller RE: Ali Al Faraj consortium takeover.... This man, in my eyes, is becoming a legend to a level you wouldn't believe!
  3. you sir are an arsenal fan!
  4. Remember when the skates gave Harry Redknapp freedom of the city? Good times!
  5. I saw that too and thought exactly the same thing! Not sure if the black seats blurred the visibility of the home fans dispersed around the ground, but what was clear on the tv was the fantastic support from the yellow army! Well done to you all, see you at the home leg! I love being a saint!
  6. A post of natural beauty!
  7. So, Storrie-tellers vision of taking the club to a level you couldn't quite believe is finally being realised then! Or This must be the good news Jacobs crackers was alluding to a few weeks ago! On the contrary, we could have more fun by 'helping' the skates in their hour of need... Why don't we put a few buckets outside the toilets at sms, show them what a kind and considerate bunch we are, raise a ton or so, buy them a cake or send them a duck like old Mandarich did...This will wind them up more than any insult or sniping on message boards. People lose their temper by watching you maintain yours! We also have an extensive contacts book, Barry briefcase, LLS, HMR, Lynam, Fialka, Jackson etc, who im sure CDAJFT

  9. 'Once again we are being treated as the poor relations and the black sheep of the family.' Love it!
  10. Armed with a shovel to clear some snow and get a free ticket?
  11. Just try not to throw up on your shoes this time Gibson
  12. Good work Ron! Our team has changed considerably since the first game of the season, where as Millwalls is largely the same. Lets see how they manage with Lambert and Fonte over Patterson and Thomas! This is a big opportunity for Saints and I am surprised at the lack of attention/interest, although I am putting this down to the unsavory reputation earned by the Millwall supporters. The police will be the biggest firm about on the day, and they will be fully tooled up! My Millwall supporting friends will assure you that away fans will be fully segregated all the way to and from the station, and most likely will be on a separate train back into town. You will only get trouble if you wonder off into south bermondsy looking for it, why anyone would want to wonder about around there is beyond me! I reckon we could embarrass them, or it will be a low scoring draw, as they dont concede a great deal at home, Lambert should be well up for it after a week on the paella! 3-1 Lambert, Papa and Lambert! 13. Many months ago a couple of friends agreed to join me in my takeover of the skates, around the time Sultana Bin Trump was discovered as the front man for the ex Thai pm, and was clearly not gonna last the race. My plan was a simple one following the mold of the Lynam and Fialka strategy, with carefully choreographed and coordinated press statements alongside an online campaign to stir up supporter frenzy on the social networks and forums. Naturally the substantial wealth (it also would 'have taken you to a level you could not even imagine'... storrie you hero!) my consortium promised would fail to materialise, after a prolonged period which subsequently forces the skates to the wall, which was secretly the ultimate goal for my consortium. We got concerned with the negative press and lynch mobs that might start appearing outside our houses, in the same way Fialka got busted for living in his mums bedsit with her after about 24 hours! So, the plan never came to fruition, and I have to say it was the best decision we have ever come to! As many others have said on this thread 'you couldn't make this up/who is writing this script'. This story, since Fitzhugh Fellas leak all those months ago, has endured so many countless turns of events it is quite staggering! With a small drop of humility, I have to admit, if Saints ended up in some bizarre Israeli/Arab/Asian power struggle instead of Liebherr I think I would be feeling just as disenfranchised as the skates do now, I doubt id be happy to give them any of my money, more so than Lowe part2! Fortunately, we have a little more class, character and charm than our fishy friends, and therefore attracted far more credible investment, as we have for the last 10-15yrs (well at least they weren't gangsters, gun runners and fraudsters!) However, it really is a flea pit of a club, the skates are a rough old lot, and they should be reminded that there are teams in the Blue Square Premier that have far more impressive and solid infrastructures than the fishy few! Thank you for a great thread, and to all who contributes to it, and long may it continue! Paaaaaaaay Up Poooooooopey....!
  14. How about a thread in the main board, that should surely drum up some interest like it did with Leyton and more recently Luton? (I cannot start threads!) I think the lack of exposure for this massive game on this forum has had a detrimental effect on the awareness and interest of this game, when you compare it to the momentum (and £70 a ticket offers!) achieved on the Leyton away thread. 15. Well, no, in my opinion. That was the argument i was trying to spin, but it clearly has not been well received by a group of clearly exemplary and far superior drivers. As i pointed out, no accidents, no incidents in my now 6 odd years of driving. I would argue i have never posed any increased risk to my insurance company, and I have been rewarded over the years by my insurance through reduced overall premiums despite the extra cost incurred for my discrepancy all those years ago. Again, as i said i excepted my punishment, received points on my license and paid my mandatory fine. I am arguing that the five year declaration is, in my opinion, massively unbalanced system for certain insurance groups, I would certainly say it is not a fair reflection of my driving ability.
  16. It was a single lane carriageway with 4 lanes then.... still, totally unfair!
  17. I have to say im quite bitter about this, as I have recently finally shed 3 points off my license after 5 long years. I recieved an SP30 for doing 36mph in a 30, on a two lane (dual carriage way so to speak), non-residential, no life/danger road by a mobile camera, at 18 years old. So, from my second insurance renewal at 18, to my last one at 22 I have had to declare my sp30, which has bumped my premium up consistently to the tune of £50 per annum. I believe (again bitter...) its a real stitch up for young drivers on top whack insurance premiums. So not only did I pay my £60 fine, and except 3 points on my license, I have also incurred a further £250 cost in increased insurance premiums over the declaration of this offence (!!!) Never involved in any accidents or dangerous situations, never get pulled by the ob, totally unfair punishment in my opinion!
  18. stunning piece of writing, good work!
  19. I find this site pretty good, although I agree too much talk about burgers/pies etc, heard enough of that from rupes!...: http://www.footballgroundguide.com/ I find the site a bit dated, yet it covers a number of bases, perhaps theres an opportunity to provide an enhanced, more extensive service? all the best!
  20. I think another important factor is the Champions League, as this generates both extra matchday and broadcasting revenue pretty much guaranteeing a distinct competitive advantage over the rest of the league system. With and extra £20-30m in broadcasting revenue for a reasonable outing in the CL, plus matchday attendence eg; Arsenal's reported £3m gross per home game, the 'big four' have a substantial and almost unbridgeable financial gap (Jurys out on Man City and QPR!) over its competitors.
  21. Man Yoo have around 350million fans world wide, or 5% of the worlds population. According to Deloitte Football Money League 08 ~(i think!) And despite Beckham, the yanks are yet to take interest in the PL/the big four....
  22. nice comparison to Hitler there! he must really grind your gears. so is this Lowes third reich?
  23. eventually, if you throw enough some might stick!
  24. Happy birthday Matty!
  25. in a hotly reported bout of bipolar optimism i will suggest that this can only be a good thing, and that Arsene Wenger will be sending congratulatory baskets to Rupert Lowe and his Dutch mafia once we start producing such wizzardry in winning performances! UTS
