I was really into watches as a kid. When I finally got some decent pay packets I treated myself to a Rolex. Since then I've bought 4 more and will wear / trade them for enjoyment. Asking what watch to buy is such a wide question! The first question I'd ask is what you are going to use it for? Before some wag says "to tell the time", every watch does that, most mechanical watches offer a 'complication'. These range from Date, Day, 2nd timezone (GMT) or stopwatch etc. Also you want to consider which brand to buy if you want to get your money back. Watches are not good investments, but buying the right ones can just about be inflation proof. Personally I've gone for a blend of what I like and what I think will do better than my bank interest rate over the next 10 years.

I am actually a rock star for my day job so modding is a nice spare time activity to wind down in between s***ging groupies and trashing hotel rooms. Goodbye Ice2Eskimos, a whole Saintsweb career in a couple of weeks culminating in the 'look at me' resignation from the board - textbook stuff. Motocross' loss has truly been our gain for this very brief time.

46:25 today for the Shinfield 10k. Delighted with that. It's a decent course and well organised. My knee is destroyed so taking some time off now.

Shinfield 10k tomorrow. My knee is still very painful but only when I stop, so going to see what I can do with adrenalin and ibuprofen. Haven't prepped as well as I did for the Half Marathon a month ago and would be happy with a sub 48 minute time.
