As someone who played in the world cup, surely Taider would have been reasonably obvious for any reasonable scouting department?
-
Time will tell.
-
Considering how he was jumped on by the media for posting a picture of a training pitch it seems perfectly sensible that he would scale back his activity on there.
-
As friendlies go, it was one hell of a substitution.
-
A real pity, he looked promising. More need to retain Cork and Morgan now.

They have a clear plan B, just sell more 'shares' to property develo..... erm, errrrr, fans, clearly fans, who also have a sideline in construction. More 'fans' can pour endless quantities of money into their local building opportunity.

Why did they rip out the terracing from the corners at Blundell Park? All the best for the new stadium, but all these moves to soulless out of town locations are killing the character of the English game. At least our identikit modern bowl is walking distance in the city centre.

Oh cock.

A beautiful side foot pass to the overlapping full back in full stride while throwing in the dummy swipe with his other foot, delightfully eccentric, skillful and totally intended. A joy to watch.

Shrewsbury at home please!

Yes Graziano yes!!!! First of many please!!

Of course a player needs to be fundamentally able but there is an emerging track record of Fonte's defensive partners playing above themselves and struggling to match the same level once gone. Aaron Martin and Dan Seaborne played comfortably at Championship level yet have not looked up to it elsewhere. Who was his defensive partner at Palace?

The performance at Liverpool showed that the performance of the central midfielders is crucial, they need to take charge and support in all areas. A fully motivated Morgan Schneiderlin would be ideal, Victor will always be more inclined to support the back four and sit deep. We need our midfield to push up and support Pelle and distribute wide when pushing forward. I would actually look to bring in Taider for Morgan Schneiderlin and use Jay Rodriguez on the left of the front three. 4-3-3 was not too dissimilar to Pochettino's preferred formation, I hope it will click in soon with our new blood.

Yes. It would say a lot if he did sign a new contract.
-
On that basis, and taking the word of our chairman on face value we will not be signing Townsend.
-
I just hope we actually try to be a bit more adventurous against them. Fundamentally our defensive shape looks good, now we need to start unlocking the opposition, if we cannot manage it against an Ian Holloway championship side then I will have major concerns.

He would deserve the chance. And sadly it would be his first step out of the door.
-
...Farrah, yes. Someone who can run all day.

Lovren was highly criticised by the Lyon fans, Fonte marshalled the back four with him and he excelled, now he is without his leader he is looking a shadow. Who is Liverpool's leader at the back, did they pay the money for it to be him? Could the bizarrely unfashionable Fonte be the key ingredient here?

1 week to go, will Kruger, Koeman n Ko stick to their word?

My feeling too. Time will reveal the answer. -
Either of those would be superb. I don't think we would have a chance in hell of signing them mind.

As a leftfield option they currently have Surface 2 tablets on offer in Curry's PC World. Got one for Mum (who just needs a reliable browser, facebook and the other toys) and it's fantastic, been playing with it for the last few days. It also has a MicroSD card slot. There is a netflix app in the windows store and Sky Go will work via the browser. Also has full MS office installed, tres handy. Otherwise there tends to be great deals on the slightly older Samsung Galaxy tabs, which is what i'm sure you saw earlier.

Claiming that mid table Championship would be a reasonable aim before back tracking. Bless you Merovingian for caring.

Damp squib. West Brom were awful, we didn't look bothered.

First home league game since moving back to Hampshire. A wonderful feeling.
