  1. Don't put it in the microwave like a friend of mine did.....
  2. Spurs would say no. It depends on what the clubs around you are doing. You may be able to have a good season and get into a european place but if a rival gets taken over by Opec and pushes you out it can be difficult to fight back in, regardless of how you are being run. Everton also saw the flip side, as St Chalet stated above, 4th just gets you into the qualifying stages, if you have no European pedigree you will face a harsh tie due to the ceedings. Everton couldn't get past a Villareal team in full flight. If it was Saints having a storming upturn in fortunes we would be in the same boat, facing a Valencia, A Steaua Bucharest, a Benfica. The FA Cup win is a glory day, something to remember forever. A fourth place finish only gives you the certainty of a Europa League place.
  3. Maybe there's a deal to be had. I do like the area there, love the idea of living out by the Solent, it may be a little out of the way for what i'm after though.
  4. Good job i'm not in that field then. Best not to do maths after a skinful on a bank holiday weekend! Going on about a 1.25 euro to the pound rate, last time I was in Malta it was actually closer to 1.18 euro. So £15 mill is about bang on.
  5. Palace for me. A club that has had to fight back from the brink and has done it by working within their means. Should either side come up though they will have done so by playing good football, much prefer them in the top flight to Steve Bruce's Hull City.
  6. We were linked to him in January, non? 18 million Euros, about 12 million pounds? For a central midfielder capped 4 times by Belgium and 25 years old.
  7. Wait, missed that. I could afford Hamble!?!
  8. No denial there. As a fan though I want the euphoria in seeing my team lift a trophy, not the technicality of barely qualifying for something.
  9. I would be certain that any true figure would be kept well underwraps. No point exposing your hand in a sellers market, puts you in a terrible position.
  10. Nothing beats actually winning something. An FA Cup win for me as long as I have breath in my body. Nothing wrong with 4th place mind, but it's no choice comparing the two.
  11. Stripes, or at least proportional amounts of Red/White with black shorts and red/white socks.
  12. At least there is some white in the home kit. Tee it up with black shorts and white socks and it'll almost be acceptable.
  13. Thanks for the feedback everyone. It's good to see there really are some good places around Southampton that I can consider, my price range should see me right. In response to earlier points, yes, property around Winchester is in 95% of circumstances above my budget.... but it can be done. The problem is the places will need some work most of the time or be snapped up within a few minutes. Fair Oak is probably my first fall-back option. Looking at the property Turkish posted there, shouting distance of St Mary's and a fair size it would be good. Having been just a short walking distance from the centre of Cov for so long I am hoping for something a little rural. Although, compared to here anything that isn't on fire would be an upgrade!
  14. Bingo. Does anyone know if they are on sale yet? #twitches#
  15. The time has come, I am looking to move back to Hampshire. I have a budget (circa £180k) and ideally am looking to be around Winchester. I am open to other options though depending on the area and available properties. So, other then Winchester, Fair Oak, Otterbourne, Colden Common (which I am familar with) I am open to suggestions. Ideally i'm looking to get a 2 bedroom property, not a flat. Is there anywhere nice in Southampton itself I could consider? Maybe Totton way? Thanks for any help/ideas here guys.
  16. His web cam also zoomed in for emphasis.
  17. There will be no gaps in the collection! !
  18. Unfortunately, you have suckers like me.
  19. ........You WHAT!?......
  20. There is no way the Everton chairman will tolerate him for long. Mike Phelan + Neville junior is more plausible.
  21. How would you define 'big' money? For me, in the modern era that is 10 million plus, therefore we will need more players to sign at that level to judge.
  22. Racial slur issues aside, this thread is making me hungry.
  23. You are spinning out a conspiracy theory based entirely on whether someone is covered in blood or not? It's tenuous. Based on your self admission of enjoy conspiracy theories over first hand testimonial and evidence, coupled with the horrific nature of this crime, surely you can understand why people are beginning to lose patience with you?
  24. Nonsense, we should have followed West Ham's example and wrapped things up yesterday.
