And back down to earth we go.
-
I'll have what you're having.
-
Bloody hell!!!! Get in Rooney you chavvy son of a b*tch!!!!
-
How did this finish?
-
A very different scenario, many mercenaries there for the wrong reasons. International football by very definition is a very different animal. If anything I would liken the current England squad to QPR, a dressing room of egos full of their own entitlement.
-
Did you really expect anything else from a very limited England side in Brazil? We've done ok.
-
It's lack of dividend shows it to be a shortsighted and complacent approach. We need to think outside of the box, even our current manager admits the choice is too limited yet he still doesn't look outside.
-
What a goal from Chamberlain!!!!!!
-
Surely you would just have to declare everything on a tax return and be taxed for annual wages of the total amount?
-
Incidentally, 1-0 Brazil and AOC on for Glen Johnson.
-
Not Tabb, another lad at Coventry though... a centre back who had a brother at Wolves... can't remember his name though.....
-
This is a key point... Yes, it will be tricky to get players not that used to each other gelling as a team in a different tactic. The sign of a great international manager is one that can overcome this and get a team to buy into his system and with his team-mates quickly. Many other international sides mix a more diverse selection of players, those who play in different nations to each other, from different backgrounds and philosophies and achieve a blend far more successfully then the usual suspects from the Premier League European qualifiers. Our insistence on picking from this group is lazy and a sign of the technical shortcomings of our coaches, not just the players.

Very promising there from England, but no final ball..... again. Poor touch from Theo let it break down.
-
It is one hell of an indicator of what you should be doing though.
-
Surely it can't be long until Clyne is called up. Oh, wait, I'm still assuming players are picked due to form.... silly me.
-
Brazil looking good in possession around the England area, Hulk nearly scorer with a cheeky back-heel and a ball across the box was spurned thanks to the efforts of Glen Johnson... Joe Hart has done well on a few occasions but we are having a few chances on the counter attack. Walcott had a golden chance and a better final ball would yield us a few more. It's all to play for.

Rising to I believe, an initial £7.5 mill was paid.
-
Based on the rest of the market, £7 million for Rodriguez was fine, especially when you consider the fees of £7.5 mill for Matt Jarvis, £5 million for Danny Graham and £12 million for Stephen Fletcher. Young domestic talent commands silly money, at least Rodriguez has shown flashes of genuine class with his movement, ability on the ball and finishing. As others in the thread have said it will be crucial to see whether he can get some consistency... should it come the £7 million will be a bargain.

They say that football is a game of opinions. You are entitled to yours regardless of how twisted/wrong it is. Loving the double negative though.
-
Conveniently no.
-
No offence taken. I don't have as much time as I used to... but i'm certainly something of a fanatic.
-
That's how it worked for me last year, was a breeze.

Which channel is this on?

Some interesting names on that list: John Cofie (Very Green Mile....) Thierry Racon, Linked with us back in the League 1 days Scott Arfield, Missed a sitter that would have made it 0-2 against Huddersfield... we went on to win 4-1. Jerome Thomas Stephen O'Halloran (Remember him?) Ricardo Fuller Brian Howard Mathieu Mansett, Saw him play a few times for Hereford, simply couldn't understand why Reading bought him. Neal Trotman Charlie Sheringham, not following in his father's footsteps. Darren Purse Jody Morris Luis Boa Morte Mido Darius Vassell

Has shown potential. Hope he can bring in some consistency next season. His 7 million fee looks about right in hindsight.
