I have a feeling that Gus Poyet will end up there before the start of the season.

There's a whole lot of non-league out there.

Southampton's 5 Best and Worst Transfer Signings of the Past 15 Years
Colinjb replied to Rebel's topic in The Saints
Best: 5. Michael Svensson. Immense. Without him we crumbled. 4. James Beattie. At one point the most exciting young striker in the English game. 3. Morgan Schneiderlin. Along with St Mary's Stadium, the best thing Rupert Lowe ever did for us. 2. Antti Niemi. The best keeper i've had the privilage of watching. 1. Rickie Lambert. Pound for pound the best forward in the country. Honourable mentions to Marians Pahars, Jose Fonte, Dean Richards, Kelvin Davis, Jack Cork and Chris Marsden. Worst: 5. Mikael Nillson. Ordinary, so ordinary. Symptomatic of our then malaise. (See also Wayne Thomas) 4. Bradley Wright-Phillips. Such a waste of that prize winner's money. 3. Kleber Chala. Agustin Delgado's travelling companion. Contributed even less then his countryman. 2. Inigo Idiakez. Past it and then in the play-off semi final blew it. 1. Jelle Van Damme. Signed to fill a desperate need for a young dynamic overlapping full-back. Was a mardy, arrogant son of a b***h. Dishonourable mentions to: Nigel Quashie, Andreas Jakobsson, Ryan Smith, Ryan Bennett (he did improve thank god), Olivier Bernard, Agustin Delgado -
Bang goes the thread then. Good luck to Bridgey. Reading the North Stand Chat forum, those Brighton fans really loved him. "Best left back in our history in my opinion." And yes, they really hate Nige'. Move on lads, move on!!

5. Saints 2-1 Chelsea. The blues were sleeping ahead of other fixtures. But we did them, so satisfying. Champions Of Europe.... Yeah, good for you guys. 4. Saints 3-1 Walsall. It was a bit expected but to finish the job in style was superb. 3. Saints 4-1 Villa, We were back... and proved that we were not the worst in the division. 2. Saints 3-1 Man City, Sureal. Incredible, Wonderful. 1. Saints 4-0 Coventry. Pure elation. For me, at that point it felt as though we had achieved the impossible in back to back promotions. To finish of a season like that in such style, very un-Saintly.

OFFICIAL: Adidas announced as new kit supplier
Colinjb replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Yes... but no money to be made. Makes you wonder, just how little do the shirts really cost to produce and ship to the stadium? Must have made an astonishing margin on them if they can now just be shunted away and written off. -

It's a good point, what is going to happen the unsold stock? -
Yep, funny that. It is a shame that some of our former players are not on good terms with the current custodians but the business community did not step in for the club when it was on it's knees, they just took it for granted. They did more harm then good. This could be a real 'Ratners' moment for Bransgrove. Alienate the community you inhabit? Bravo.

Of course he is unhappy, all of the traditional old boys network are unhappy.
-
He would be better then Danny Fox. Do we sign someone who can help Shaw, or someone who will fight tooth and nail for his first team place, potentially encouraging him to leave?
-
Just sketched a few ideas. To be honest, I don't think the exiting badge can be beaten. May update the font and re-style the badge's boarders/key features... But otherwise I think it's essentially perfect.

I would be interested to see how that could be modernised? An artistic styling of an Eagle will always allow more versatility then a pre-determined shape and five instantly recognisable items (The Ball, Halo, Tree, Hampshire rose and Solent 'ripples.') May have a play myself.

The world really is full of miserable cynics! -
When the thread started they were utterly full of it. Despite having had more money then god going through them they had essentially nothing to show for it but a phyrric cup win and league status that was hanging by a thread. Despite no academy, a limited fanbase and a shed for a ground they were still giving it large. Now they are in the 4th tier, the 4th placed club on the south coast by at least two divisions and continuing to trump as though they are one of the biggest clubs in europe. It is hilarious and has been a wonderful journey of so many twists and turns.

I doubt we will ever know. The right thing has happened though, so happy days.

Eau de Lambert. Very musky. -
The wide areas seem to be ok on the most part, just the spine of the team has nothing about them.

Doubt there would be the interest even in that to be fair. Makes more sense commercially to keep the rights for kit sale in house. -
And it now says Harchester United..... Who do i credit?
