If Milton Keynes was meant to have a league football club it should have grown organically from the Milton Keynes FC that were driven out of business by the franchise. Liverpool's method always used to be interesting, sign up promising lads aged 19-20, give them a year in the reserves to learn Liverpool's way of playing and then bring them into the first team once they are up to speed. Ian Rush from Chester, Keegan from S****horpe, Alan Hansen from Partick Thistle, Again, there were exceptions (Phil Neal, wonder if we can find a 4th tier defender that could fit straight in.....) but a player shouldn't be written off simply because they do not make an immediate impact.

Nail on head. The culture of win above all at youth levels only serves to damage our national team and domestic players. It encourages the promotion of youngsters who can win games due to physicality and physique above skill, many kids do not physically mature until they are 18-21 yet they are written off before the full picture is known. Obviously there are exceptions to the rule but players that have dropped out for being 'too small,' Kevin Phillips, Dennis Wise.... from our own youth system no less are proof. It's a blessing that we are looking at things beyond the results of 90 minutes in these games, one off games where the team is actually weakened due to it's success in promoting it's better players through. That our academy is consistently successful is the main thing, not the one off game last night.

Particularly when you put Lallana in there too (a player who needed time to develop, couldn't have been thrown straight into the side due to his heart condition). Having Ben Reeves involved is also a great sign.

It would depend who they are. I would assume that if they were trying to offload them though that they are over the hill. Therefore, no. No certainty that these players would be an improvement or be certain of survival, if it was a swap of Gaston for safety it's a no brainer, but it doesn't work like that. Also, this left back may be an extremely short term option in the position and may even stifle the development of Shaw if he deprives him of game time. Gaston will hold his value if he can reproduce some of the form shown in the Villa game.... if Matt Jarvis costs 10 million and Steven Fletcher 12-14 million, we will at least get our money back (wages notwithstanding.)

Youtube will be fine, it's part of Google so will be utterly ok. The main issue would be something like Saints Player which does need it. The iPhone 5 and all Apple products do not support it either anyway, so it's becoming less of an issue as most widely used websites are moving away from it.

Those days 9 years ago when there were dreams of a future Saints team being built around the talents of Leandre Griffit, Fitz Hall and Yoann Folly. My personal favourite was always Dexter Blackstock, such promise in his first few appearances but at a time when we were imploding, then we shipped him off to QPR. He's never quite fulfilled his potential for me, even though the Forest fans love him.
