  1. Is there any evidence we have already spent the loan? #devilsadvocate Not exactly saving for a rainy day, but certainly releasing cash for purposes unknown.
  2. Casino Royale with Cheese.
  3. Yes, debt free. That is the point of concern. I would trust him over an Israeli gunrunner any day though.
  4. I think there is a small thread showing how stupid that city is elsewhere in the forum.... if only I could remember where.
  5. If he thinks you have a nice arse just take the compliment and move on......
  6. A loan has been taken out, I don't believe that the loan was for 30 million it was for about a third of that (from memory....) and it's purpose was unclear. Either way, for them to criticise....... They can't even trust the word of their own fans for a grand each.....
  7. To be frank that could apply to every level of the club.
  8. Fair play, would be interested to see how you get on with it, particularly as it's the petrol model.
  9. The only players I can see us getting are those that are in a lower league or where even championship football would be a step up. (e.g...... Yoshida from VVV Venlo...) Bargains can be found, there are some diamonds in the rough..... straws to clutch at, etc....
  10. Looks to be a reasonably common thing: https://www.google.co.uk/webhp?source=search_app#hl=en&biw=1280&bih=899&sclient=psy-ab&q=shark+fin+aerial+fitting&oq=sharkfin+aerial+&gs_l=hp.1.1.0i13l4.1952.4589.0.6805.16.16.0.0.0.0.203.1992.1j14j1.16.0.les%3B..0.0...1c.1.cPM2CePx9xw&pbx=1&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.&fp=f80844f1c93b97ab&bpcl=37189454 Out of interest, what did you get? The Insignia?
  11. We invaded Iceland. Never knew that. Their political objection was no match for 750 barely trained soldiers....... puts their economic collapse into context!
  12. Alpine please. Stick to your own parody.... don't steal someone else's....
  13. Mayuka offers in my opinion an improvement over Puncheon and Rodriguez provides a plan B to Lambert, something we sorely missed last year. I agree with your point in bold though, it matches my own thoughts.
  14. Every single player we have brought in has improved the squad. Which begs the question, where we trying to be too ambitious in who we brought in? Therefore we missed out on defensive targets who would have made us better in depth, meaning more pressure on the incumbent players to perform rather than leaving them in the slight comfort zone where they may not be good enough but have little risk of losing their starting place. Buttner, the mystery centre back who's transfer fell through on the last day. Efforts were made but didn't come off, what position would we be in now if we wern't needing to rely on Hooiveld and Fox at crucial times.
  15. We've had more fun in the last 7 years than you've had in the last 30. And in the last three years we've had..... Some real gems in that list, just shows if you keep lying to yourself for long enough you eventually believe it.
  16. I would have been delighted with anything other then a struggle. To be in this position is not a surprise to me, even with our money spent our weak defence has always been a glaring oversight. While going back down at the end of the season would be a hammer-blow to the ambitions of the club as a supporter it wouldn't perturb me. The Championship is the more entertaining and better structured league but the higher profile of the Premier League does at least mean a little more 'credibility' is given onto you by those who know little about football in the grander scheme of things. The next two months are crucial, if we are adrift by then we should start planning for the championship in 13/14. If we can remain within 4 points of safety and boost our defence survival will remain possible. We will keep fighting, of that I have no doubt and we will keep trying to do it in the self proclaimed 'Southampton way,' we may suffer further heartbreak this season but we will take it with dignity, at least we will if everything remains stable off the field. It is not Adkins' sole fault that we are where we are in the table. Out of ten..... 4/10. If we win tomorrow night it'll be 5/10.
  17. Then it would still be a corruption of fair competition. It would then essentially be creating a final game 'play-off' type situation that may not have any impact based on the points gaps and respective league position after 38 games. Whichever way you look at it, it is simply a money earner that would serve to undermine the league's credibility.
  18. No, this idea needed to die. Not only is it utterly insulting to the season ticket holding fans but the way they would decide who plays who will be utterly open to allegations/occurences of unfair fixture generation. (E.g. Saints and Norwich need to with the last game to stay up, Norwich get already relegated Reading and we are against Chelsea....)
  19. Wasn't the public transport access one of the venues trump cards?
  20. Some of the best games I saw when younger was through watching Colden Common FC play at the rec. No fee to get in, really friendly atmosphere, the standard at Hampshire League level is also quite respectable. The 11-0 massacres of Romsey Town also live long in the memory! No clearing dog mess though......
  21. Yes, kept emphasising the need to get results over and over again.
  22. He deflected the question nicely. The man is under pressure.
  23. It will be entertaining seeing us try to outscore them though! #silverlinings
  24. +1.
