  1. He is nothing if not consistent. Oh, and utterly incorrect.
  2. Was enjoyable but the show is past it's peak. I miss the days when they actually talked about cars.
  3. And your nominees?
  4. They remind me of a rebuilt Claus and Svensson. Claus never looked 'that' good.... but it worked brilliantly. Svensson always looked to be the rock, just like Jos is now.
  5. I quote from a Coventry fan, "He is our last really good player....." He is doing his best to prop up a team that will set low points records. He will be a good signing if it happens.
  6. The only worry for me. I know i'll get shot for saying this but without progress the contracts we must be offering, even with our crowds, will be unsustainable.
  7. To fill his time while out injured, 'apparently' he is setting up a rival Saints forum... https://www.facebook.com/#!/Leebarnybarnard Now, why would a 'player' feel the need to do that?
  8. Just reminded me of a quote from the film adaptation of Nick Hornby's 'Fever Pitch.' It is amazing how much Saints can effect your mood! And i'm still gutted that I didn't go to that game at Portman Road!!
  9. Ha, a bit harsh on Harding! A player I like, very much a player in the Benali mould. I think Ali Dia's title is safe.
  10. I remember going to watch Margate play there about a decade ago in the Conference. Football really is an amazing thing.
  11. I love your optimism.
  12. Or at the very least raised his price significantly.
  13. Hell yes!!!
  14. Bringing in a 'bigger fish' could destroy what we have, keep it to people who feel they have something to prove by stepping up rather then feeling they are dropping down as a stepping stone.
  15. A general feeling. The intense pride of supporting Saints during the last 12 months...... and knowing it'll probably never be this good again.
  16. I think they were being sarcastic.
  17. Watching the Man Utd game at a wedding reception in yorkshire and getting complimentary words from all the guests for our performance, much to the chagrin of the few plastics in attendance. Seeing us at Walsall away and believing it just may not be this year... Jonno Forte against the McDons, and realising it actually just might be! The late winner against Brighton, leading me to run screaming through the streets of Hereford in delight. Walsall at home, just total joy. Leeds at home, already mentioned of course.... I don't think any of us expected that totally joyful re-introduction to the second tier. The subsequent home games v Brum, Boro, Wham, Watford etc. Coventry away, bragging rights over my neighbours at last!!! Seeing us destroy Brighton while abroad on an obscure Italian cable channel.... and getting bought drinks by the impressed locals. Blackpool at home, just loved the come-back and the banter in town afterwards. The result went against us but for the rest of the day, the atmosphere was perfect. Rickie vs the Skates and the atmosphere in 'The Eclipse' in Winchester during that. Two skates showed up before the start.... and promptly left when they saw it full to the brim of Saints.
  18. Yeah, let's do a Ward-Prowse on it.
  19. Yes, because the stadium is open on Christmas day too.
  20. It is how Manchester City operated regarding Kaka. They had the resources to sign him but at the time the club wasn't in the position to make the move credible. The ambition that showed may have played a part in opening the ideas of the likes of David Silva, Yaya Touré and others to listening to what they had to say. Any publicity can be good publicity if manipulated in the right way, as such I wouldn't think it odd at all.
  21. Ok, assuming this is in any way true. It could be as much about raising profile then any genuine chance of signing the guy. A signal of intent for the future that will hopefully ensure we are taken seriously by other clubs in the footballing community. Of course, it needs that assumption in the first place.
  22. You seem to be having quite a day of it mate! An extractor vent would be ideal in my bathroom too. If anyone has any experience with these I would also be grateful for advice.
  23. My impression too, a statement of 'No, look, they are not good enough!'
  24. Colinjb

    Ouch

Hang on, didn't he score against us last year?
  25. Oh mate. It gets better....
