  1. Alan Carr - Utterly unwatchable Graham Norton - Not funny Michael Macintyre - Again, not at all funny. Loud doesn't equal funny. Anthea Turner - Smug bint Simon Cowell - Surely no explaination required
  2. Makes sense for us to be linked with a few centre backs, especially ones like Cranie. If the offer is right I can't see Cov refusing, they desperately need funds after all..... just hope we havn't fallen out totally after all that Elliot Ward business.
  3. Super-dupa sounds good. Nice one!! Bring on the kids who 'know better.'
  4. In the program Jonno Quick named Hammond as the clubs 'best trainer.' He has certainly put the effort in to step up, all credit to him. He was one of the key men who stood up to be counted at the back end of last season and he has carried that through to this, hope his form continues.
  5. One hell of a game that. An absolute rollercoaster, thank heavens we came out the right end of it, no need to analyse right now, just savour the feeling of a win v a very able Forest side, Schteve will see them right.
  6. I do actually feel for them.

    Jos the Boss

Hooiveld looked no worse then Seaborne. Decently mobile, ok in the air, a little uncertain when under physical pressure but vvery decent. More importantly though I feel he has room to improve further... which is just as well as he needs to read runners in at the back post better. An ok start for him.
  8. A fascinating read. Thankyou.
  9. At an intro party at the uni radio station I used to be a part of: Fresher: "So, because you're on the radio do people recognise you when you're walking around campus?' He was actually being serious.
  10. Ray Davies. Great frontman, awful singer. All is however forgiven for Waterloo Sunset.
  11. Set aside a tenner to be safe. There are buses from Pool meadow station to the ground that are a bit more reasonable.
  12. Best thing to do, find a pub in Longford called 'JK English.' It is a pub and curry house, is relaxed and about ten minutes walk from the town, or park in Exhall/Bedworth and go to one of the pubs there. No point really in trying the city centre.... it's just too far.
  13. So many games over the years, but on the recent iteration having a go with Truro City has been a lot of fun. On taking charge (in the year 2045.... yes, that's how far into the 'career' I am now) they had never finished above 24th in the Conference South.... And had played at that level three times. Now in my tenth season in charge they are in the Premier League having survived their first season the year before with a 14th place finish. The highlight of it though, getting out of League 1 with the smallest wage budget in the football league.
  14. You have no use for it even when it's free!? Fair enough. Do you have a ball park figure you'ld want for it?
  15. Ah, but now I have an iPhone i'm stuck..... What am I to do with all the songs i've bought on iTunes that will only work on Apple devices... Or with the daft mini sim card that will only fit inside the latest iPhone 4?
  16. For what it's worth my housemate has just got herself a HTC Sensation. It's a very impressive bit of kit!!! It is a far better device for browsing the web then my iPhone 4.... I'm actually a little jealous of it.
  17. Adkins doesn't seem to put new players straight in, therefore I would expect Martin to start on Saturday while Hooiveld finds his feet at the club.
  18. Nothing really, but I believe that De Ridder and Fox have looked stronger recently.
  19. 8 and ) Does that. It's a real pain when doing match reports.
  20. My 3 year old stepdaughter is undergoing indoctrination as we speak.... but her favourite colour remains 'blue.' I'll keep you all posted and equally, am open to suggestions.
  21. Out of interest Chap, what are you planning to do in Cov? It's not that stimulating here....... unless you are a fan of concrete or late 70's/early 80's ska.
  22. I listen to Talksport and that's pretty much it. I've lost interest in Radio 1, it's just full of awful music now, I can't quite identify with the music on Radio 2 and I find the topics of Talksport (football, ad infinitum) most interesting. I will occasionally listen to Radio 5 but only if there's anything happening of political interest. If I had to listen to a music radio station, Kerrang...... but of course that only available nationally on DAB, here we can get it on FM.
  23. Almost the team I would go with but put Martin back in due to his familiarity with the team and Morgan in for Hammond. I doubt Nigel would throw Hooiveld straight in but could see him coming on as a sub, also Morgan has been better for me then Hamster on the basis of the last few games, Hammond has been much better this year but is living off his performance v Leeds.
  24. I find gyms to be really soul destroying places, even though there are instructors who can help it is still down to your own motivation to stick to a routine and they are full of the type of vain buggers that can leave normal individuals feeling a little inadequate. I find that going to a group exercise class (such as British Military Fitness... I have mentioned it on here before, indeed, the wife of a SWF member actually came up to me after a session and said hi after seeing my Saints shirt) is much better. Many average joes working hard together in a nice, outside setting to get fitter. It's still hard, it still leaves you knackered after but you meet people and have a laugh in the process.
