Maldova to win. Blue will not get Nul points.

Was on a night out in Coventry a few years ago, the taxi headed back up the Radford road ahead from the city centre and we saw a woman, mid twenties, collapsed on the pavement. The Taxi driver pulled over and I called 999. She was quite incoherent, drooling out of her mouth and had a cut on her forehead. Frankly I think she was wasted and had fallen from the embankment at the side of the road onto the pavement. The Police turned up with an Ambulance about 5 minutes later. As this happened a rather scary looking bearded man appeared and started rabbitting to the police. I let the professionals deal with things from there, the coppers took my name and I walked home. The b*stard taxi driver had however left his meter running.... cost me the best part of 17 quid, I was drunk, there were police there so I paid the **** without fuss and walked the rest of the way home. Was very odd, I never heard anything more about it but was a rather bizare occurance.

Absolutely. The Seaguls have Crystal Palace, We have the Skates. What is the point of even pretending that we are each other's rivals? ESPECIALLY when we are sharing the same league with the true enemy.

HA! Paul Merson just exploded as Blackpool went 4-3 up! Here's hoping they survive. We want top dollar for Punch.
-
Adkins signed a 4.5 year contract back in January!? Wow this club really can keep things quiet!!! Cortese really must have faith in him, let's just hope things don't go sour in the meantime.
-
We've bought out the remaining assets of the Skates?
-
The Leibherr's have sold out to Paul Allen?
-
I must have dreamt Bayer Leverkusen getting to the final.

A question from my Dad. Does anyone know if the usual 'Cup Final Day Program Fair/Sale' is happening tomorrow?
-
I love this optimism.... ....Lets hope it doesn't bite us in the arse.

After a generation of humiliation you had some time in the sun. A fleeting glimpse. That is well and truly over. The natural order is now restoring. Hold those memories dear for they are all you have left.

I think you're right. Hence evolution this year not revolution. Something else to look forward to next season perhaps. And maybe a more competant working strategy. Dare I be the first to (yet again....) suggest a similar scheme to the one I found at the Allianz Arena in Munchen? A pre-charged card that can be swipped to pay for goods, speeding up the service and queuing time?

Agreed. It was however good to see that the request in my 'location' was finally followed. They re-opened the beer bar in the family end v Walsall. Sadly the ONE (!?!) member of staff attending it didn't know what hit him. By the half time whistle it was already queuing back up to the other end of the concourse. And they ran out of beer after serving less the half of the people waiting....... Some party. The sales opportunities lost. They could have made one heck of a lot more. What would be the problem in buying in more reserves? It's not like the bottles will go off!!!

Sales of a new Sash would be nowhere near this year's quantity. It worked so well because it was a one year celebration/novelty. The return to the stripes will also have a similar effect (the return to our more commonly associated strip,) and therefore sell more. I wouldn't expect sales of the new shirt to match the Sash in any case, that was a success beyond the wildest expectations of many.

He does. He is about the only thing keeping my town of residence's football club in the limelight. Cov will really struggle next year, so every little helps for them.
-
Watch him get sold on now.

Whereas I've always quite liked it! Still one of my favourites to wear.
-
Still, it's a funny notion.

Bless. Mistaking a miss-match for an honest win. Says it all. We're coming for you you Skate filth.... I would warn you to be ready, but you know as well as we do that you won't know what hit you. Enjoy my fish fiddling friend.

Most innapropriate promotion reward. Taking 17 year old Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain to Las Vegas.

How about 'unlikely transfer rumour,' Aaron Martin to West Ham.

Connolly: Yes, One year contract extension. He has earnt it through his end of year form. He stood up to be counted when we needed him most of all. Jaidi: Yes, One year again. He is beginning to lose his legs though now. Wonderful player for us but he should no longer be first choice. Martin: Yes, Three year deal. I rate him as back-up. As I have stated in prior threads though I rate Seaborne ahead of him. The comparison between them v Blackpool was very telling. Seaborne was very assured, Aaron was not, looked very shakey. He should be allowed time to develop. Sign him up and loan him back to a Yeovil for a few months, let him get regular league experience. Holmes: No, Release him. A wasted talent, his body just cannot cope with the professional game. Had too much too young maybe? Butterfield: Yes, Experienced and dependable. Gobern: I would say... Yes. Similar to Martin, sign him up, loan him out and see how he does. He has looked ok when i've seen him (dodgy tackle v the Cherries notwithstanding.) Harding: No brainer. First choice LB for me.

A great shame, but also a guy who's been nursing cruciate ligament injuries throughout his career. Realistically speaking he would always be behind the younger and more able Joe Hart in the england ranks so to do this and preserve his fitness makes sense for him.

What happened?
